Update 6/4/22. Few products have generated as much interest as the Thrive Patch, also known as the “Thrive Premium Lifestyle DFT.” The patch is supposed to provide a time-released steady stream of weight loss and energy-boosting ingredients into the body that is said to be “greatly superior to that of any consumable product.” Does the Thrive weight loss patch work or is it a scam? I think this question hinges not only on the ingredients used in the product but also whether those ingredients actually be absorbed through the skin and into the body? These are the big questions I'll address in this review.
Why A “Critical” Review?
While the title of this review includes the word “Critical” I want to make clear that I am not referring to something bad, meant to bash the product. In the world of science, a “critical review” means a review that contains information that the author feels is critical for people to know about.
My hope is this review will help you better understand the Thrive Patch, the DFT technology and ingredients used in the product.
What Does DFT Stand For?
DFT stands for Dermal Fusion Technology. It's a phrase used by Le-Vel (The Thrive company) to refer to the Thrive Patch. From the name, it sounds to me like the patch is supposed to fuse with the dermis and epidermis of the skin, and in doing so, allow the ingredients in the patch to pass into the body. From there, those ingredients are supposed to help with weight management, curb appetite and give people energy to work out better.
When I looked at this product, there were 3 different types of DFT patches. They are:
- Thrive Premium DFT
- DFT Ultra
- Black Label DFT
Let's first look at the Premium DFT Patch and then cover both DFT Ultra and Black Label DFT patches below.
Thrive Patch Ingredients
According to a PDF on the Le-Vel.com website, there are 6 ingredients in the Premium DFT patch. They are:
- ForsLean
- Green Coffee Bean Extract
- Garcinia Cambogia
- COQ10
- White Willow Bark
- Cosmoperine
I can't tell how much of each ingredient is in the Thrive Patch. If any Thrive Promoters can share that with me, I'll be glad to update this part of my review.
Either way, since the ingredients are listed in the order I've put them here, I believe this means that ingredients at the top make up most of the product, and those at the bottom make up the least.
At the heart of the DFT technology is the very last ingredient in this list – Cosmoperine. This is what Dermal Fusion Technology is based on. Let's take a look at that ingredient next.
What Is Cosmoperine?
On the DFT patch pdf file which can be downloaded from Le-Vel.com, we see that cosmoperine is trademarked by the Sabina corporation. Sabina is a company that makes a very of supplements and holds patents on them too. Cosmoperine is the common name for a compound called Tetrahydropiperine (THP).
On the Cosmoperine.com website, we see THP is the name given to a metabolite of black pepper. The page I linked to also states cosmoperine (THP) can enhance the absorption of various drugs (and supplements) when they are applied transdermally (on the skin).
Here is the US Patent page for THP.
The US Patent, tells us the Sabinsa Corporation (which owns the trademark on THP/cosmoperine) has provided evidence THP can increase the absorption of Forskolin when both compounds are applied to the skin (rat skin according to the patent). Since it works in rat skin, I'll assume it also works when used on human skin.
Forskolin (also called coleus forskohlii) is another name for ForsLean which is also in the Thrive Premium DFT patch. The Sabinsa corporation calls their preparation of forskolin, ForsLean.
So, to summarize, it appears the driving force (the secret sauce, if you will) in the DFT patch is Cosmoperine. This ingredient allows other ingredients to be carried through the skin. But, just because those ingredients can get into the body from penetrating the skin, does that also mean they will work?
This is the BIG question.
Let's look at the research on the Thrive DFT Patch next
Thrive Patch Research
I searched the Le-Vel website for research to show that the Thrive Patch caused people to lose weight. No evidence could be located
I then searched the web for:
- Thrive Patch Research
- Thrive DFT patch Research
- Le-Vel Thrive DFT Research
No clinical studies could be located.
This says to me the Thrive Patch may have no published, peer-reviewed clinical studies showing it causes people to lose weight.
Remember, just because the ingredients in the Thrive DFT Patch might penetrate the skin does not mean that they will cause weight loss. They might or might not. These are two different issues.
So, to get a better idea, we will have to look at each ingredient in the Patch to see what might be going on.
Let's do that next.
ForsLean
This is a trademarked version of a supplement called coleus forskohlii (say, cole-E-us-four-skoll-EE). Since it is listed first, it makes up most of the Thrive Premium DFT patch ingredients.
As I noted in the review of coleus forskohlii, there is weight loss research on this ingredient. Some of that research shows it might work and other studies show it might not work.
In one study, which lasted 12 weeks and involved 19 overweight women, researchers noted coleus forskohlii might reduce gaining weight.
In other words, it didn't cause the women to lose weight, but just reduced their odds of gaining weight. The women in this study used 500 mg of coleus forskohlii per day.
This study used ForsLean, the same brand of coleus forskholii that is in the DFT patch. That's good.
Remember, the women took an oral supplement. They didn't put it on their skin. Would a transdermal patch also work? I can't find a single weight management study involving a ForsLean transdermal patch.
Green Coffee Bean Extract
The active ingredient in green coffee bean is often said to be a compound called chlorogenic acid. As such, chlorogenic acid is likely the extract used in the TDF Patch. I'm not convinced this compound works.
As I revealed in the green coffee bean review, one of the very best studies on this compound was retracted by the authors because they could not verify the results of the study. Here is the study. As can be seen, the words “this article has been retracted” as well as and “Retracted” appear scrolled across the study pages.
In 2014, a small study was published that involved 20 healthy people. For 2 weeks people drank 40 grams of green coffee (1.4 oz) and for another 2 weeks, they drank 40 grams (1.4 oz) of black coffee. They were told to not alter their eating patterns.
Researchers noted when people drank green coffee, they had a lower body mass index (BMI), lower cortisol levels and had lost more abdominal fat, than when they drink black coffee. They also experienced lower blood pressure and their blood vessels were more elastic too.
Regardless of our feelings about this study, the people in this investigation drank the coffee. They did not use a transdermal patch.
See the list of weight loss scams for more insights.
Garcinia Cambogia
This is also called HCA or hydroxy-citric-acid. I'm on the fence when it comes to Garcinia Cambogia and weight loss. As I pointed out in my review of garcinia Cambogia weight loss research, I have seen research showing:
As well as research showing
At best, it's a toss-up. Many studies have problems, which further complicates things. No study appears to have been done to see if a transdermal patch of garcinia Cambogia helps people lose weight.
Read the Garcinia Cambogia review and pay attention to the side effects controversy too.
COQ10
CoQ10 is short for coenzyme Q10. It's also called ubiquinone because the molecule is ubiquitous, or everywhere, in the body. It's a substance that helps our mitochondria turn calories into energy.
I have never seen a study of CoQ10 and weight loss or weight management. When I looked for evidence, I saw articles saying it helped, but no website showed me proof – published clinical studies involving people.
This is the CoQ10 brand I use
White Willow Bark
White willow bark contains a compound that looks like aspirin. So it has some pain-reducing effects. This is why you might see it show up in arthritis supplements such as Instaflex (click to read review). It's also an ingredient in Thrive W so see that review for more insights.
Weight loss and weight management supplements sometimes contain white willow bark. This is likely because of the reputation aspirin has for increasing the effects of caffeine and ephedra. In the fitness world, this combination is called the “ECA Stack” where ECA stands for:
- Ephedra
- Caffeine
- Aspirin
I think this is the reason I saw white willow bark in these two weight loss supplements from TV trainer, Jillian Michaels:
Thrive Black Label And Ultra Patches
There is more than one type of Thrive Patch. There is also:
- Thrive Ultra Patch
- Thrive Black Label Patch
The difference between the Ultra and Black Label patches is not only in the ingredients used but also the size of the patches may be different too.
In the table below, I compare the ingredients in all 3 different types of Thrive Patches – in the order, they are listed on the product pdfs – so you can compare them to each other.

As previously said, they don't tell us how much of each ingredient is present in the different DFT patches. We can only assume that the ingredients listed at the top are most plentiful while those at the end of the list are the least.
All versions of the Thrive Patch contains the cosmoperine ingredient. That's good. Remember this is the ingredient that appears to help carry other ingredients through the skin.
As you can see, the Black Label Patch has the most ingredients. But, does this mean it's better than the other two? We can't know which is best unless they are all pitted head to head against each other in a clinical study.
Clinical studies on this topic cannot be located.
That said, let's cover a few of the ingredients in the Ultra and Black Label patches and see what we can discover about them as far as weight management is concerned.
Satiereal Saffron Extract
This is an ingredient in both the Thrive Ultra and Black Label patches. Satieral is the name given to an extract from saffron. The extract is called Crocus Sativus. The company that makes the satiereal extract is a French company called InoReal.
Here is the US patent for Satiereal.
The name satiereal, refers to satiety, the feeling of fullness and not wanting to eat anymore.
There is some research on Satiereal.
In a study published in 2010, 60 overweight women were given either satiereal or a placebo for 8 weeks. The women consumed 176.5 mg of satiereal per day. Researchers noted women who used satiereal weighed less than women who got the placebo. Those women also reported less snacking too.
There have also been some studies on saffron to help depression.
In a 2005 study of women who were depressed, 45 women were randomly given 30 mg of saffron or a placebo for 6 weeks. Women getting the saffron (Crocus sativus, which is what Satiereal comes from) scored better on depression questioners compared to women who got the placebo.
Several other studies also hint that saffron can help mild to moderate depression too. But, does satiereal work when it's in a patch? The research involves taking it orally – not in a patch.
Heres Satiereal Saffron on Amazon
5 HTP
This is an ingredient in the Black Label Thrive Patch. Another name is 5 hydroxy-tryptophan. It's a variation on the amino acid, tryptophan. The 5 HTP molecule (like tryptophan) helps us make serotonin which plays a role in mood as well as appetite. As far as depression is concerned, studies are sometimes criticized for having issues.
As for reducing appetite and weight loss, this also has been studied. In one investigation, 20 overweight women were randomly given either 900 mg of 5 HTP or a placebo for 6 weeks. The woman who received the 5 HTP lost more weight than women who took the placebo.
How much weight did they lose? Somewhere between 3 to 5 pounds over the course of the study. That's not much given the study lasted 6 weeks.
No study using a transdermal patch can be located. All the studies appear to give 5 HTP orally.
L-Theanine
This is an amino acid that is found in tea. Theanine sometimes finds its way into weight management supplements. I believe it's used in supplements in the hopes it might help calm people down. The idea is people who are less stressed are probably less likely to overeat. This study lends evidence that L-Theanine can have a calming effect on people. In this study, 50 mg was used in healthy people.
In one study that involved 16 people, Theanine seemed to make people feel calmer when they were relaxed, but it didn't seem to have any anti-anxiety effects when they were stressed – in other words, when ya really need it to work.
L Arginine
Arginine helps us make nitric oxide which can help relax blood vessels and this is why it's sometimes used in exercise supplements – as way to drive more blood/oxygen to muscles during exercise. For more on nitric oxide see the review of SuperBeets.
Arginine also helps us make human growth hormone (HGH). While growth hormone can play a role in muscle building, and this, in turn, might lead to weight loss, I think one has to take a lot of it to increase HGH levels.
See the SeroVital review for more insights.
In one study of arginine and weight loss, 90 overweight men and women were given either 3 grams or 6 grams of arginine a day or a placebo for 8 weeks. Researchers noticed those taking arginine showed significant reductions in body weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, hemoglobin A1c, body fat, triglycerides, and total cholesterol. These changes were not seen in those getting the placebo.
What about weight loss? Those getting 6 grams of arginine a day lost about 8 pounds while those getting 3 grams a day lost about 3 pounds.
This investigation was based on a Masters Thesis. One problem was that the study was “single-blinded.” This means the researchers knew who was getting arginine and who was getting the placebo. Also, body fat was determined using skinfold calipers and the researchers only measured 2 sites (triceps and subscapularis regions). That might be an issue because if more sites were measured could lead to more accurate results.
Regardless, this was an oral arginine study. No patch was used.
Quercetin
Quercetin is an antioxidant found in foods such as broccoli and blueberries. Does it affect appetite, weight loss or anxiety? Proof cannot be located.
Other supplements containing quercetin include:
- Life Shotz (click to read review)
- Ceraplex (click to read review)
- Tissue Rejuvenator (click to read review)
See those reviews for more information.
Guarana
This is a source of caffeine. Caffeine is popular in weight loss products and energy drinks. The idea being that the more awake you are, the more you will move and burn calories. Other products I've looked previously that also contained guarana include:
Caffeine – alone – seems to have little weight loss research. In other words, caffeine is almost always used alongside something else.
Yerba Mate
As I mentioned in my review of the fat burner called Thermo Detonator, I located a study were people who took 1000 mg of yerba mate seemed to burn fat better than those who took a placebo. I don't think the Thrive Patch has that much yerba mate.
Other products reviewed here that also contained yerba mate include:
See those reviews for additional information.
Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin that we actually store in the body. While healthy people may not need this nutrient regularly, other people like vegans, older folks and those taking certain medications may be deficient. Vitamin B12 is also popular in weight loss supplements. I think there are 2 reasons for this:
1 The vitamin might give us more energy
2 The vitamin might help weight loss
If you not deficient, vitamin B12 probably does not boost energy levels. As for weight loss, there is no good proof it does this either.
See my review Vitamin B12 and Weight Loss.

Thrive Patch Active Ingredients
When I review a product, I like to try to drill down to what I believe might be the active ingredients. I do this not only because I'm curious, but also because people ask me.
Because they want to save money.
After looking at all the ingredients these are the ingredients that might be most responsible for any weight loss effects that people might notice. Here they are:
Thrive Premium Patch | Thrive Ultra Patch | Thrive Black Label Patch |
ForsLean | ForsLean | ForsLean |
Garcinia Cambogia | Garcinia Cambogia | Garcinia Cambogia |
Cosmoperine | Cosmoperine | Cosmoperine |
Satiereal Saffron Extract | Satiereal Saffron Extract |
Notice the similarity between the different types of Thrive Patches. Of course, cosmoperine is present in all of the DFT patches because, as reviewed above, this is the ingredient that's supposed to carry the other ingredients into the body.
Also, notice that ForsLean (coleus forskholii) is the first ingredient listed in ALL of the DFT patches.
As for the other ingredients listed in the table above, I found human weight loss/ appetite suppression studies on them (which you can read above). That research though involves when they are taking orally. Whether they work the same way when used in a patch, I cannot say.
For those on a budget here are those ingredients to purchase individually:
Thrive Patch and Weight Loss?
Le-vel distributors often say that the Thrive Patch is not a “weight management” supplement and not a weight loss supplement.
But, what does “weight management” really mean? It's a vague term. Think about it. Just saying you are managing your weight doesn't say how you are managing your weight. Are you managing it to gain, lose, or maintain weight?
The fact is many of the ingredients in the patch are weight loss compounds. Specifically, these 3 ingredients are in many weight loss supplements:
- ForsLean (Coleus forskohlii) click to read the review
- Green Coffee Bean click to read the review
- Garcinia Cambogia click to read the review
Thrive Patch Side Effects
When I looked for online testimonials, I didn't see anyone complaining of terrible things when they used the DFT Patch, so that's good.
In the comments below, a few people, have mentioned the Patch caused rashes, blisters and/or caused red/itchy skin. To reduce this it may be wise to rotate where the patch is placed on the skin. Don't place the patch on the same area all the time.
I think the side effects would probably hinge on whether the ingredients really can get into the body in significant amounts. That said, let me make a blanket statement and say:
- If you take any medications, (like blood thinners) or are breastfeeding or pregnant, show the ingredients to your doctor and pharmacist first.
- Stop using the patch at least 2 weeks before having surgery
- If you have any health issues like heart disease, high blood pressure, depression, diabetes, psychological issues, or liver or kidney problems, show the ingredients to your doctor and pharmacist.

My Suggestions
When taken orally, I believe the ingredients which might be the active ingredients are:
This is for taking them orally. I am unable to locate proof they work when placed on the skin.
Does The Thrive Patch Work?
Here are my opinions on the Thrive DFT Patch.
1. There is evidence cosmoperine can penetrate the skin (of a rat) and increase the absorption of some drugs when applied to the skin. Presumably, this means it also works on human skin too. I'll assume it does.
2. There is evidence cosmoperine can enhance the absorption of ForsLean (coleus forskhloii) when both are applied to rat skin (let's assume human skin too). Since ForsLean is the first ingredient listed in all of the Thrive Patches could this be the main active ingredient?
3. I believe there is a lack of clinical research showing the patch increases blood levels of the ingredients in the human body.
4. Most of the research on the ingredients involves taking them orally – not placing on the skin with a transdermal patch.
I'm genuinely intrigued that an ingredient placed on the skin can enhance the absorption of other ingredients. That said, even though the Thrive Patch is touted as being a better delivery system, I want to see a few human weight loss studies before I give a final judgment. I'm really looking forward to published studies on this.

Hi Joe!
Just checking in! Still nothing. I am still wearing my Duo every day. If anything, I have noticed that I want to eat more! It is a constant battle. I am using them because I paid for them, but have stopped the auto ship. I will not continue the Thrive shakes either. Just not worth the money. I will find another one, I have a friend that likes the Pure Protein. Since I just use them for Breakfast I will see.
I guess if all you do is Thrive products, and their are a lot of different things, then you will drop some pounds but you have to exercise like crazy. As with any thing, the key is moderation, and movement. I don’t move so well, so guess I am going to have to drag my walker out and get moving up and down the street! I can walk short distances but if I want to go far enough to do my any good physically, the walker is going to have to go along!
Okay so much for my rambling, just wanted to check in and let you know still nothing on the Duo. Will check back in about a week, if this rain stops, I hope to start walking, we will see if that makes a difference!
Joe says
Hi Southern, thanks for the update. Sorry Duo is not working for you so far. I will keep my fingers crossed. I have tried Pure Protein Shakes. I like them.
Southern Belle says
Still nothing! I have actually gained. Thought maybe I was eating more so went back and checked my eating, made sure it was where it should be and I was not eating junk. Still gained another pound! Increased my water, thinking maybe I was not drinking enough, another .5 gain!
Going to the Pure Protein shakes from now on and getting off this other stuff. Way too much money for no results!
If others are getting results, more power to them! In the meantime I am stuck with some DUO and DFTs and some of the Vitamins that I am not going to use.
Joe says
Southern, thanks again for the update. For what its worth, I’m sorry Thrive didn’t help you. were you working out at the same time and was the workout something new you just startd doing? if yes, I wonder if that might account for the 0.5 pound weight gain. When we start an exercise program, we start to retain a bit of water (its related to an increase in carbohydrate storage in the muscles). Just something that occurred to me.
Southern Belle says
I have a lot of health issues that prevent me from doing heavy exercise. Since I started the weight loss journey I have been doing some light exercise, I use a walker or cane to walk. I have actually worked up to being able to walk short distances without aid and the goal is to totally get rid of them. I’m too young and only had to use them because my feet and legs started going numb and I would fall down. Only have about 60lbs more to go to reach my goal so guess I will go it the old fashioned way!
Just to let you know, I have not worn the DUO for 2 days now, been drinking my water, doing everything the same, and when I weighed this morning I was down 6 lbs. I have to wonder if I am not allergic to something in there? I did notice some itching but just thought that was from it being stuck to the skin. I have a mild reaction occasionally from some adhesives.
Joe says
Southern, thanks for the feedback. I’m sure some of your symptoms will start to improve as the weight comes off – and contrats on dropping 6 pounds! That is FANTASTIC! About the exercise, I wonder if a seated bicycle might help or something called an “upper body ergometer” what lets you use your arms for exercise? Just a thought. Either way, you dont have to do heavy /difficult exercise to see improvements. Listen to your body which it sounds like you already are doing. Slow and steady definitely is the key to being successful when it comes to weight loss and health.
Renee Edmunds Anderson says
I am thriving with DUO as my third step in my morning thrive regimen and love it! I am down 7 pounds and 10 inches. My cravings are under control and my appetite is suppressed, I have energy and my sleep is so sound now compared to before. I am not following any strict diet or exercise plan so I think my results are amazing just from that fact alone! I am seeing more results on this than anything else I ever tried in the past and trust me I have tried a lot of things.
Those results are in 30 days of 2 capsules in the morning as soon as I wake up with water, 30 minutes later mixing up my strawberry lifestyle mix and than slapping on those fat burning patches otherwise know as DFT DUO. If you would like to know more just contact me and I will only be to happy to share with you! Thrive on folks, thrive on.
Joe says
Hi Renee, Im happy it is working for you. Im working on a review of DUO now, thanks though. I see you are a Thrive promoter. I hope it continues to go well for you.
Patricia Venable says
Hello,
I’ve been on the Thrive “DUO” for almost 3 weeks and haven’t noticed anything either. I’m 56 years old and nothing seems to work; I’m thinking of stopping my autoship as well!! I’ll give it until August 15th when my next shipment goes out.
What I have noticed is everyone having success seems to be in their 20’s or 30’s ! I’m tired of wasting money!!
Jody Parr says
This is really helpful…I’ve been looking for information on Thrive and am so happy I found this posting. Thank you Joe.
Joe says
Hi Jody, you are very welcome! Feel free to share it with your friends 🙂
Jenn says
I’ve been on Thrive for about a year and I’ve lost 74 pounds. I can see where the skeptics and self-proclaimed medical students are coming from- but you can’t discredit something that works for someone else. Don’t wanna try it? That’s cool. Didn’t work for you? That’s really unfortunate.
But it’s worked for me, for a lot of people I know, and for thousands of others. And even if it’s just someone’s mindset that makes it work for them, then that’s good enough. Because I am so much healthier and happier. I feel so much better. I sleep better. And i lead a much better qualify of life. I recently started the DUO and I love it!
Joe says
Would someone like to snap some pics of the DUO package and email me so I can see whats in it?
Southern Belle says
I have some pics for you if you will drop me an email and let me know where to send them!
My one week review. NOTHING! I have lost not an inch or a single pound. I have been more active, increased my water, made sure to be really careful on my food, just like it says, NOTHING!! I have followed what they said, NOTHING! I already drink the Thrive shakes in the morning because I like them better than others I have tried.
Joe I think you will be surprised when you see the list of ingredients, or maybe not. Looks like something else we have seen, that is all I am going to tell you.
Anyway drop me an email and let me know where to send the photos and I will get them off today! Sorry again I don’t log on every day!
Joe says
Southern, thanks for the help. Im looking forward to seeing whats in it.
Britta says
Can’t wait to see what’s in the DUO patch! I’ve asked lots of Facebook friends who sell Thrive, and no one knows.
Joe says
Britta, stay tuned. Ill be posting a review soon.
Franklin says
I’m glad your happy! But your still relying on a product to do so. You have to be happy with yourself the natural way first. There’s a reason why you weren’t happy before. There’s a reason why you have aches. There’s a reason why you didn’t sleep well. Poor nutrition?, No exercise? I’m not sure. But you have to figure it out first. To many people look to products to “fix” there life. We are a society that looks for instant gratification.
Christine says
Unfortunately, this is all true and I fall into the category of people looking for that quick fix. I started Thrive 3 months ago and have been on Duo for 5 weeks. I have noticed subtle differences in mood and cognitive behaviors.
At first, energy was better but not now. Cravings are back. I lost 15 lbs but it was only when I exercised every day and ate a lot of salads. I’ve maintained the 15 lb weight loss but imagine it would be very easy to gain back.
Joe says
Christine, congratulations on losing 15 pounds! Take a look at this review where I look at the weight loss supplements that have evidence.

How much is the duo
Joe says
Jessy, for what its worth, when I looked on Ebay I saw it ranging from $30-$150.
Sarah says
Has anyone else caught on to this? DUO is advertised as the DFT specifically for weight loss. But if you look at the advertisements for DUO it is also described as the first ever weight management DFT. All these arguements by Thrive promoters that Thrive is for weight management and not weight loss are null in void. Le-vel just accidentally defined there use of the weight management term. We all truly knew what it meant, but Thrivers are to blind to see it.
Johnson says
Does anyone have the ingredients list for DUO. Le-vel website has yet to release, though the product is live now. I honestly don’t know how people take it without knowing what’s in it. I’ve read some of the DUO post on FB and they are comical. One lady wrote she is down 2 inches on her hips and 2.5 inches around her waist in 2 days! Yes 2 days!!!! Haha. This company and its followers are hilarious. The stuff they tout and say just make the company and its followers look ridiculous.
Jeremy says
After prying Le-vel for the ingredients, they finally told me.
Forslean 95, Chlorogenic Acid (Green Coffee), Satierreal, Guarana, Green Tea, White Willow Bark, Beta Hydroxybutyrate, C0Q10, Cosmoperine, L-Arginine, Limonene and Aloe Vera.
I was told no ingredient list would be released because DUO wasn’t released. I profusely told them people where currently taking the product. They insisted it wasn’t in full release yet and that no ingredient list would be available. Well, after a few more back and forth a that messaged me this. Looks like more caffiene and white Willow bark. Yay! More stimulants and products that numb you! ?
Joe says
If anyone is currently taking Thrive Duo can you email me pictures of the ingredients list and packaging.
Southern Belle says
Will it just let us email it from here or can you drop me an email and let me know where to send it? Ill get it sent off today if you get it to me. Sorry didn’t see this until today!
Joe says
Southern, thanks for the help. I just emailed you. 🙂

I have a friend that is a promoter. I have ordered a few times and it has never done a thing for me. The DFT and the vitamins.. might as well have been wearing scotch tape and popping tic tacs.
I do like the shakes, vanilla only. I drink them because I tend to forget to eat breakfast and it is easier to just drink a shake especially if I have something to do that day. One box of 16 usually will last me a couple of months. Yes they are expensive but my friend told me to be sure to go on auto ship to save money! So when I need them I order them, set them up for auto ship, wait for them to ship, then cancel the auto ship option.
I have decided to give the DUO a try, just to see what all the hype is about. I needed to order some shakes anyway. So once again I set up auto ship on the shakes, saved money on them and the DUO. Probably only get this one month and then never get them again. Even with the savings it is not cheap.
Oh BTW, you can order the DUO without going thru a promoter now. I knew if I just waited a few days it would be available on the regular order page.
Hopefully I can find this page again to let you know what I think of the DUO! Probably be like wearing duct tape instead of scotch tape but I sure hope not!
Joe says
Southern, Thanks for sharing and that is interesting what you said about no longer having to go through a distributor. Wonder what that is all about?
Southern Belle says
I don’t know. I ordered from my Thrive page. My promoter set the page up for me way back when but I noticed when the DUO first came out it was not listed. She kept posting on FB you had to message her to get it. Then suddenly it started showing up on the list of things you could order. That was when she started posting about the buying one item on auto ship to save money on the DUO.
She kept talking about it being one of the hottest selling items and how they were selling out! I think that is because they were holding back inventory in the beginning. I went on there for 3 days in a row and it was never sold out. I am seeing it popping up on people on FB now. Should have mine sometime this week.. will keep you up to date on how it works for me since very little does anything.
I am eating a low fat, healthy diet now, trying to drop a lot of weight and have lost 40lbs already. I got off track a bit but have not gained any of it back. So we will see if this helps kick start it again.
Joe says
Southern, congrats on losing 40 pounds! That’s fantastic! I wouldn’t say you got off track if you have not regained anything back. Give yourself credit 🙂 Yes, let me know what happens with the DUO. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
Southern Belle says
Well here we are 6 days later and the order is still showing processing! I sent support an email. Let’s see what they say.
Oh one of my friends that is on the DUO posted after 6 days she has lost a whopping 3.75 inches over all! Big deal! …(hear the sarcasm dripping from my voice)
Will keep you posted!
Joe says
Southern, thanks for the continued updates 🙂
Southern Belle says
Well I went back and saw my neurologist at the end of July and he was thrilled. I had lost over 50 lbs since the end of March.
I can now walk without cane, walker or other aid. I don’t get out of breath or feel like my legs are going to give out on me. I still have some numbness in my feet and legs, I still suffer pain from the ruptured discs in my back I could go on, but I am working on making the supporting muscle stronger to help.
I now work in my garden, sunbath, enjoy some things I wasn’t able to before.
Level had NOTHING to get me here, I did this on my own, Thrive and Level can try to take credit but that isn’t what happened.
This past week the world has thrown some major punches at me and I have not been eating like I should but I have been stuck in a hotel room without anyway to go get anything so been eating from vending machines or delivery. Major detox time when I get home! I’m going to stock my fridge with cans of pure protein and, salads
Joe says
Southern, wow! 50 pounds! Fantastic! That is incredible! I am very happy for you 🙂 Don’t beat yourself up on the the vending machine situation going on this week. If thats the best you can do, so be it. Next week, you will be back on track. Glad to hear you have been doing so well 🙂
Mariah says
3.75 inches is AWESOME in one week, why the sarcasm everyone loses differently
Southern Belle says
Well FINALLY got mine, so can start it tomorrow.
The sarcasm is because this was overall, we are talking about the arms, chest, waist, hips, thighs, and calves. We are also talking about someone who works out constantly, and just did a 3 day bike ride marathon while wearing her DUO. She is already about a size 5.
Anyway I am going to measure in the morning before beginning. I was looking at the ingredients and it really does not include anything that any other weightloss product doesn’t that I can tell.
Be back in a week to let you know!
Joe says
Southern, how can I get a look at the ingredients label in DUO. can you snap a few pictures and email it to me?
Jaci says
You are still going through a promoter when you order as you always have, but Duo is now available for customers to order from their own customer log-ins vs. just paying their promoter cash to get it for them. Promoters had special first access and could buy as much as they could during allotted hours. Many, including mine, ordered for those of us who wanted to get it early. That’s all. Now it’s just business as usual.
Judy says
Southern Belle, read up on soy, you should avoid it. Sorry, I’m on a mission to get soy out of a woman’s diet.
Cindy says
Hope it works for you. Made me very sick, ringing & fullness in my one ear, dry mouth & I drank tons of water. If you look up willow bark & satiereal, these are all side effects. Plus it warns to not take these things for long periods of time. It’s a money scam, my doctor advised to dump the junk! Good luck!!
Hollly says
I have been using Thrive now for about 6 weeks. I’m 50 and work out consistently with running, free weights etc. I also eat pretty healthy and watch calories. I also struggle with constipation. The one thing I notice is whatever is in the 2 pills makes me regular in the bathroom every morning. Any idea why that is? For me, I feel better in that way.
I can’t say I have a ton more energy or feel a ton better as I said I’m a pretty healthy eater and exercise several times a week. I’m not overweight I just want to loose around 10 pounds and seem to be just stuck at where I”m at…. Maybe because of my age. I will continue with the pills, but not the other stuff once I get through with what I have.
Miguel A. Gonzalez says
Holly, i believe (my opinion) that the reason for the regularity might be due to the various sources of caffeine in the Thrive products. It acts similarly to how coffee makes a person want to go #2, for a lack of better words, when they consume it. Just a thought.
Judy says
Or maybe the oat fiber.
Jaci says
The pills and the shake both have pre-biotics and pro-biotics that help with digestion. And up until the new DUO patches, weight loss has just been a side effect of eating less and having more energy to be active. Thrive has always been advertised as weight management, not weight loss. So glad you have lost some pounds getting out there and exercising!! And so glad to hear Thrive has helped!
I just started DUO patches today and am super excited to see where they take me. DUO is the first product from Le-Vel that is actually geared toward weight LOSS vs management. Fingers crossed!
Joe says
Jaci, remember, pre-biotics are another name for fiber and other undigestable carbohydrates. Probiotic bacteria eat pre-biotics.
Texas Skepic says
You might consider the high magnesium content for the regularity. Remember Milk of Magnesia is a laxative! I assume this is part of the “cleanse” or “detox” to which they always attribute any negative reactions.
Kristi says
I asked my doctor about Thrive today. She said one of the ingredients was similar to a laxitive, and to be careful of using it long term. It could cause your bowels to become loose. Going to be SUPER careful with that….
Joe says
Hi Kristi, did she say which ingredient might be a laxative? What Thrive supplement did you ask her about? The patch, Thrive W, the Thrive shake, etc?
AngieC says
My coworker, a licensed RN, provided me samples of Thrive. I’m a stress eater and haven’t been consistent with diet nor my HIIT workouts. I’ve only used one other company’s supplements with little success but decided to try it.
Definitely more energy. Appetite suppression, I believe so. Shake tasty. Added spinach and blueberries.
My dilemma is whole food unless organic and nonGMO is not nutrient rich and certainly not as healthy as we are taught. Even if you can afford them, tough to remain consistent 24/7.
I have no problem with people promoting products they just need to know their s%$# and that info should document effectiveness and be readily available for consumers.
Willing to test a product considering the meds docs and Pharma suggest for good health are far more dangerous. That’s another debate all together. I will finish the sample with cautious optimism.
Joe says
Hi AngieC, keep us updated on how things go for you.
Evelyn says
Why not just eat a balanced diet, 1200 – 1500 calories a day and walk. Be a lot more healthy than putting chemicals in your system.
Jagski says
I totally agree! I used to promote Beachbody but what a crock! Just eat healthy, watch the carbs, and exercise.
Harrison says
Here’s a good video for the Thrive supporters. I’d love for you to explain these videos.
https://youtu.be/hIrh5b-GCoE
Listen. “Get good at passing it off to somebody so it will work” and “I don’t have time to learn this.
https://youtu.be/nZyYDP0SK9U
Fast forward to 1:10 “If I knew I could get two of my girlfriends to Thrive with me, I could haggle two of them to jump in and order”
This company is a complete joke and making its customers and promoters look like sheep.
The new promotion coming out now for DUO is that you have to be on the VIP list because the demand is so high. In order to do this you have to find a select number of new promoters and have them purchase a promoter pack. So much for being “free” to promote. This company never ceases to amaze me.
Jay Johnson says
Ahh yes you’ve noticed them too. I’ve left my comments on them. More recently getting in a debate with a promoter from the DUO video, but the last couple comments where deleted. Not sure why, I presented them with facts, and it was deleted by the user.
Johnson says
The first red flag when looking at this company is there use of proprietary blends. Usually the weaker companies use this tactic. I’ve contacted there support for dosages and of course I got the “we are protecting our secret blend so others won’t copy it”, give me a break. If a company truly wanted to find out they would run lab test, it’s pretty simple.
2nd, if you had a pending patent like they say they do, any copy cat could be sued for millions. I highly doubt any company would be up for this. By including proprietary blends, companies are able to fill there “secret recipe” with more of the cheaper ingredients, while cheaping out on the top ingredients. And the best of all? You have no clue how much, just a list. What does it matter when one ingredient is listed before another when you don’t know the dosage? It’s pointless.
If you add up the effective dosages of the ingredients in Thrive W you will get a number that far exceeds the 527mg. For example, White Willow bark is the 9th listed ingredient, the effective dose of WWB is 120mg. This means that 8 ingredients before this are more abundant. Each pill contains 20 mg of caffeine. So this already adds up to 140 mg.
If you take the effective dosages for the remaining ingredients you don’t come close to the listed dosage of the proprietary blend. Further proving proprietary blends are just a cheap excuse to give a fancy name to ingredients that are just fillers.
Dani says
I thrive daily. I feel so much better. I do just one of the capsules and half a shake, then, the dft. I don’t use thrive to lose weight, it makes me feel way better. Better mood, more focus and energy…..
Before I was a 2 to 3 POTS of coffee a day. Cranky, tired, you name it. The ingredients that are in it have to be better than that much coffee and always eating junk.
I’ve learned that people are gonna criticize no matter what. I do what makes me feel better and wish you well with what works for you. For me, this is it. It does help you get moving. Not a magic pill to lose weight. (That’s what most people want)
Peace and love!!!!
Jay says
You do understand why you were “tired, cranky, and you name it”? You answer it in your own paragraph. Thrivers fail to realize why they feel bad, and then miraculously good. Take a look at your eating history. 3 pots of coffee will make anyone have negative effects, coupled with junk food, no wonder your tired and cranky. You stop these horrible habits of course you’ll feel good, it doesn’t take a physician to tell you this.
Yes, Thrive has curbed these habits for now. But one day you’ll have to face them and do it the hard way, the NATURAL way, without supplements
Jay says
Anyone heard of there new DFT patch? It’s called DUO. They are claiming it as the first ever weight loss patch by Le-vel. Actual admitting it’s for “weight loss”. I watched there new video for DUO, now they are advertising it for weight management. So does weight management now mean weight loss? Lol
Jay says
I need a knowledgeable Thrive promoter or customer to answer this one question. Thrive contains sucralose, an artificial sweetener. Sugar is chemically modified to make sucralose. The modified sugar is used as an artificial sweetener in products because the body doesn’t break it down, which makes it non-caloric.
How do Thrive promoters insist there product is all natural when in fact it contains sucralose?
I’d like an intelligible response not taken from the Thrive handbook. Please explain how sucralose is all natural.
Grace says
I’m not a Thrive promoter, nor will I ever be a consumer. I’m currently doing research on Thrive and this to was one of my questions, so I created an account to ask the question. Sorry to go off on a tangent but their customer support is really annoying, you have to create an account to find info. They state they have over a million accounts, no wonder, probably half are created like mine or randomly by promoters. Wonder how many are actually real?
Ok….. so back to the question. Le-veld response was that a couple Thrive products contain a pinch of Splenda (artificial ingredients). But because they keep the actual amount under the required FDA qualifications, they can report there products as all natural, even though they aren’t.
Also, they went off on this whole thing how they have a celebrity pharmaceutical scientist who formulates there products, and after patents are complete, they will release his name. So in reality, they are scamming the system. Thrive is in fact not “all natural” but because of a lope hole in the system, they can claim it
Joe says
Hi Grace, thanks for sharing. Ive also heard people have to wait until patents are complete. I dont know why.
Miguel A. Gonzalez says
I tried Thrive for a few months and I found it did provide me with extra sustainable energy. This is what really bothered me. The reason being that we eat very healthy at home, with the occasional exception when dining out. So feeling better with Thrive was an indication that I had some type of deficiency in my diet… or that they are pumping me full of something to cause that.
I have since stopped and find that I get healthier better results by replacing the capsules with natural, whole food based multi-vitamin supplements with plenty of vitamin B6 and B12; replacing their mix with home made yogurt and live probiotic cultures; and the patch with a cup of coffee or two, at most, a day.
I also noticed, like some of you have, that they sneak ingredients into some of their other products that are really NOT natural. Like in their PURE shots… they use Cyanocobalamin as their Vitamin B12. This is not a natural ingredient… it is synthetic. And they use Sucralose as a sweetener… it is highly processed.
Suddenly, their inconsistent labeling throughout their products started raising red flags, and I called it quits, literally. Like some have said… eating healthy should be enough, really.
Joe says
Hi Miguel, thanks for sharing your experiences with Thrive with others here.
Shari says
I have never used Thrive and never will. It was concerning to me seeing this new company pop up and knowing friends that are on it. I am a director with NeoLife, a 59yr old true whole food supplement company, and have learned very well what to read on labels to see if they are even worth it. I feel like my friends are getting taken, although that is their choice.
I do not really see how they are helping end disease or the like, it’s more a fad company which will probably be gone in the next 2-5 yrs. Definitely nothing I would be willing to put in my body. I can’t even find what the digestibility score is for their shakes. Like others have said, it’s hard to find info from them to begin with.

Hello,
A customer asked me a few answers and I would like to give her answers:
I have a big issue is with the soy – the soy blend (I’m not even sure what that is), and the soy lecithin. First, soy itself actually can cause weight gain in addition to other health problems. The reason is that almost all soy produced today in the world is genetically modified (yes, most soy is a GMO!).
Most soy today contains an anti-nutrient known as “phytic acid” that attaches to minerals such as iron, zinc, and magnesium and disrupts their absorption in your body. What is the soy and how much is in it.
Sucralose. This is a sugar substitute. It’s commercial name is Splenda. While it’s calorie free it has some serious health side effects. Sucralose is a chlorinated from of table sugar. To make a long story short, our bodies do not know how to process compounds that have been chlorinated and this stuff begins to accumulate in our liver and kidneys and is very hard to remove or detoxify.
There is also coloring in the product. Can you tell me why? And is it all natural?
Thank you!!
Response by Le-Vel Support | September 22, 2015 (11:59 AM)
Thank you for reaching out to Support.
First, ALL OF OUR THRIVE PRODUCTS ARE NON-GMO!!!!!!!!!! So, let’s blow that concern away immediately. Not all is organic, but we source as much as possible from plants around the country and use as many as possible that are organically grown.
Soy: We use organic Non GMO Soy in Thrive products when Soy is used. The shake is predominantly Pea protein but has a touch of organic Soy protein and Whey. Adding a touch of Soy and Whey helps the absorption rate of the Pea base.
Sucralose: The shake is sweetened with Stevia but has a pinch of Splenda to remain diabetic friendly. The amount is so small it doesn’t calculate to a percentage of the product or savings, so per FDA rules with it being that low of a percentage it is considered all natural.
Thrive is all natural as all of the ingredients we use are all natural – no synthetics. This is also true of the Chocolate Lifestyle Mix. Caramel color is a golden brown (honey or amber) color to a deep dark almost-black brown (coffee or cola) color. It is always water-soluble in either liquid or powdered form and is prepared by the controlled heating of food grade carbohydrates with or without added chemical catalysts.
The Caramel color contained in the Chocolate Lifestyle Mix is a Class I which includes no reactants within the process. This also means that it is a natural formulation of the caramel coloring. We use BEET for color in Activate. Be assured that we would never include any ingredients within Thrive that are harmful as our families are all Thrivers as well
This is what I got when I asked the same question
Heather says
I have been using Thrive for about 3 months now. At first, it made me sick if I took it the way everyone said to.(Take 2 vitamin capsules first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, apply the patch, and 20ish mins later drink your shake) I was nauseous the whole first day.
So the second day; I ate breakfast with my shake, and drank it immediately after taking the pills. & that worked out much better for me. I don’t drink the shake anymore because frankly, it’s disgusting. I would much rather drink a protein shake that tastes decent. So technically I don’t do the whole system.
I refuse to promote it without doing more research on it, and/or without having been on the system myself for a long time. I do not want to promote something I know so little about. I will say, I have had more energy, and I’ve also slept better. I wake up much easier in the mornings as well.
I have lost about 15lbs in those 3 months, but I also started working a much more physically demanding job. So it might be a combination of the two.
I forgot 2 days in a row, to take my pills and apply my patch… the only difference I really noticed was that I was irritated all day, both days. I just started the black label today, so far… nothing is any different. I think that a person’s lifestyle is what helps maintain a healthy weight, not some “magic pills”.
I’ve posted a few times on my facebook about my personal experience with thrive, but not to promote it. Just to leave a honest opinion out there. I’m rambling…. lol
Joe says
Hi Heather, appreciate you saying all you did. I’m sure your experiences have helped others reading this. That’s interesting what you said about feeling irritated after you to take the pills/patch.
Congratulations on losing 15 pounds!
William says
Heather,
Glad to see your down 15 pounds! Thrive sure does need more customers like you. You admit that you know little about the products, and yet won’t promote it because of this. This is Thrives downfall, too many promote the products and know very little. When they are questioned on a product, it’s always the same answers word for word. It’s never a thoughtful response from there own intellect from the products.
I see you had a negative reaction coming off of Thrive for two days, this should be seen as a huge flaw in their system. Your body is used to the constant flow of caffeine, metabolic boosters, appetite suppressants and sleep aids. All these ingredients are doing the work for your body, when you stop supply your body, it reacts in a negative way. Sounds like it was a a small case of withdraw, a huge red flag.
Also, I like how you mentioned that you refuse to take the shake because of the texture and taste. It appears that Thrive still “works” without the shake, further proving the whole “synergistic” thing is a marketing ploy. Don’t take this the wrong way, I’m just using some of your experiences to further prove some of my points about Thrive.
Congrats again on the 15 pounds ( I believe it’s from the hard work rather than Thrive ?)
Geri says
If you read on their site it states MANAGEMENT. and the gaps they are referring to the nutrient EVERYONE fails to get. Do you eat the recommend amount of veggies, fruits ect? If someone has stated weight loss then it is a mistake. Also if you look at many of the OTC vitamins and supplements, Many do not have testing nor are they FDA approved.
I have taken Thrive, and I will also state I have been on many other supplements OTC and prescribed. Nothing helped like Thrive, I have ADHD but refuse to take Adderall because I dropped too much weight. I am small, never had an appetite, Thrive actually GAVE me one. Everyone’s body is different, results will be different I know people who have loss weight and some that gained it.
Joe says
Hi Geri, thanks for sharing. Again, I’ll just say Forselean, garcinia cambogia and green tea are generally considered weight loss supplements. Nobody takes them to “manage” their weight – if manage doesn’t mean weight loss.
Sheryl Pedigo says
Did thrive seem to help with the symptoms of ADHD? My son was diagnosed recently and was wondering on your outlook on how it helped manage the ADHD in your case.
Jerome says
They also say all natural, but Thrive contains surculose. So there credit is out the window. They say weight management because it is so vague, it covers them if the product doesn’t work. Thrive is literally filled with appetite suppressants and metabolic boosters, you can’t say it’s not for weight loss. Thrivers are so narrow minded, they refuse to see the obvious.
Sammy says
Geri, please tell what nutrient EVERYONE is deficient in, I’d love to her you speak for myself. Ridiculous
Alexandria says
Hmmm, no trial testing for Thrive AND not FDA approved, seems like there in the same category as every other OTC vitamin supplement. I prefer brands who have past USP certifications, they have actually been tested, all can be found online. Thrive is NOT one of them.
JayFIT says
I’m currently in the process of building a new gym in Pennsylvania. I wanted to look into selling health products that could be stocked in my gym. I researched some companies and came by Le-vel. I’ve vaguely heard of this company so I went to the website. All the products had ingredient labels which was nice, being in the nutrition field and having my masters in health, it was nice to see all of the ingredients.
The main vitamin and mineral list was nothing spectacular, about your average when it came to a vitamin supplement. I was more interested in the proprietary blend, as to they didn’t list how much of each ingredient there was. There was some questionable ingredients listed that I wanted to inquire about.
I tried forever to find a number, when I did it just led to a dead end. Found out you have to create a “free” account. I did this and still had trouble finding a representative to speak to. I found the support ticket tab and went from there. Only problem you can’t get anything answered on the weekend, much less talk with someone.
Don’t really understand there stance on customer service but that is amateur stuff. I contacted my “promoter” who I randomly found. I proceeded to email him the questions. I assumed being a promoter with a health and wellness company, you have to have a background in health and be certified in an area for the medical advise “they” may give. Boy was I wrong. He couldn’t answer one question, had to submit a support ticket, which wouldn’t be answered for 2 more days.
I asked about numbers in the proprietary blend, he said ” we don’t give out ingredient quantities because we don’t want other companies copying there products.” I thought I’d heard every excuse till then. I’m pretty sure their products are patent-pending, therefore it protects them from copy cats. Honestly it’s down right dangerous not knowing dosages for the proprietary blend, how do you know who can’t and can take it. Yes, you should advise with a doctor, but what I have found is that most people don’t, and just take it because there told to and don’t know.
I don’t understand how a promoter can promote and give medical advise, even if he suggests the negative reactions are detox. How does he know this, it could be another reaction to an ingredient he knows nothing about. These promoters can get sued very easily. I can’t support or sell products from a company that isn’t transparent with uneducated “lost” promoters. This is ridiculous.
Joe says
Hi JayFit, Thanks for sharing your experiences and sorry you did not get an answer to your question. the DSHEA law for supplements does exempt companies from listing the exact amounts in proprietary blends although they do have to list ingredients in the blend in descending order (so what ever is listed first is present the most). If a product has a patent, and that patent can be located, the exact amount of the blend can be determined. For example, see the review of SeroVital (and HGH booster) to see its patent.
JayFIT says
I find it ridiculous Joe. For a company that puts itself so far above the rest, it sure lacks in transparency. There are a few products, I.e White Willow bark, that could have adverse effects. It’s important promoters now exactly what they are selling. It’s too easy to hide something in “proprietary blend”, yes it has to be listed, but who knows how much your actually taking.
Honestly the more I researched your threads and others, the more I feel dumb for even considering this company. There are plenty of other companies out there that concentrate on improving ones vitamin and mineral stats and not adding the garbage in there proprietary blend.
Joe says
JayFit, I hear you. For what its worth, I’m not a fan of proprietary blends either. I believe they are confusing and it’s the reason why I try to decipher them for others in my reviews.
Stephanie says
You should look into plexus products.
Joe says
Hi Stephanie, I have several reviews of Plexus supplements here. Here’s the review of Plexus Slim to get you started.
Melissa says
I did the three day trial of Thrive. I’m not a promoter, nor am I a customer even. I was given the sample and figured why not, I’m willing to try this kind of stuff. Here’s what I noticed…first day, I took one capsule (W), and 1/2 a package of the strawberry drink mix. I only drink one cup of coffee per day and wasn’t about to give it up so…I also had a cup of coffee. Usually, I’m a pretty tired person. First day, I had a decent amount of energy but crashed midday. However, I slept REALLY well that night. I NEVER sleep really well!
The second day, I had one pill, 1/2 package of the drink, and started that patch. I have really bad ADD, and I’m a writer working in front of a computer all day. I felt like I was back on ADD meds. I was so focused and productive and am positive it was due to that patch. AND…I slept better than ever that night.
The 3rd day, I had 2 pills, 1/2 package of drink, and the patch and was super focused once again. I did have to remind myself to eat because I had zero appetite for all three days. I only knew I was hungry because I started getting crabby. I only drank 1/2 of the drink each day because that’s what the promoter told me to do but I think I’d drink the entire package if I were to continue. I had no adverse issues with the patch aside from a little skin discoloration where the adhesive was.
My only real issue is that when I have too much caffeine, I do get a little sleepy. It’s an ADD thing, I heard. I am very skeptical about this company, I’ll admit. I do know a few people doing the Thrive thing and have been thrilled with the results. My promoter lost a lot of weight on it, and she also brought her cholesterol down to normal. Her doctors are thrilled with they way she’s responded to Thrive, she’s super healthy now. I need to lower my cholesterol and lose about 30 pounds.
I loved being more focused without having to take adderall or any other prescription meds, I don’t respond that well to them so I don’t take them. Normally, I just try to ignore the ADD except, very often, it won’t let me. It’s a jerk. Anyway, my promoter gave me more product, enough to last five days. So, I’m going to do it for five more days and decide whether I was to join the Thrive lifestyle or not. TBD. This has been a very interesting and enlightening thread and I appreciate reading all the comments showing both sides of the coin. Thank you! (sorry for just rambling)
Joe says
Hi Melissa, thanks so much for sharing your experiences with thrive. Let us know what happens after your next 5 days are over.
Jay says
Good luck when you stop. Your gonna need it!
Beverly says
the problem with this article is that Thrive is not claiming to be a weight loss supplement. Thrive is one product broken down into 3 easy steps and is all the vitamins and nutrition you need to fill in all the nutrition gaps we ALL have. Especially since we are not able to get all hte nutrients we need from our (mostly gmo)foods we eat.
As we all should know, the lack of vitamins/nutrition and all the sludge/toxins we carry in our gut, are the main factor for most illness. Thus, Thrive fills in all those nutrition gaps and makes you feel amazing from the inside out!
Le-vel is however, just about to introduce and actually weight loss product!!!
Joe says
Hi Beverly, As I’ve pointed out, forskolin, garcinia cambogia and green coffee are primarily advertised for weight loss not maintaining weight.
What sludge/toxins in the gut are you referring to? What are those “nutrition gaps” that Thrive is filling? I’m willing to have a conversation about this if you like.
Jerry says
Straight out of a promoter hand book, honestly it’s embarrassing. What nutrients are we missing out on with our daily diets? Like Joe said, what exactly are nutritional gaps. Please, if you want to debate something, try to sound educated, don’t just repeat what every Thriver always says. Thrive products are filled with metabolic boosters, caffeine and appetite suppressants. How is it not weight loss?
Promoters have even admitted to really not feeling anything with the patch, so how does this one differ any? They come up with these products so quick there is no time to study the results, where is the proof? Please provide the test performed over a long period of time to show that this new DFT actually works.
Please google Le-vel Thrive weight loss. The first promoter that pops up advertises “weight loss supplements”. Your who claim to not a weight loss product is invalid with this promoters claims.
Harold says
This generation of individuals are getting lazier and lazier by the day! What happened to good ole fashion hard work. Everyone looks for the easy way out. They try dozens of products because they themselves don’t want to put in the effort. I’m sorry to be harsh, but if your safe space is close by you can go hide in it.
The whole ” your body isn’t getting enough nutrients” thing is a marketing ploy directed at weak minded individuals looking for social acceptance amongst a group. Scrolling through all the FB post, I’ve concluded that Thrivers are among the most unhealthiest looking group. Joe, sorry to be so harsh but this is the way it is.
The fact that someone will go and put something in there body and take advice from someone who has been selling it for two days is ridiculous. It’s scary. People will literally do anything not to put in the work. “Just take Thrive and you will be healthy”, this was a marketing quote from a promoter friend. I know someone will comment ” why are you so bitter if you never tried it”. I don’t need to try it. The lack of knowledge from promoters and the ingredients are enough for me to not touch it.

Wow. While I agree that people really do need to research what they put into their bodies more, I find your blanket “this generation is lazy” statement ignorant and insulting. “This generation” is fighting student debt while working multiple jobs. “This generation” is dealing with nutritional deficiencies due to lack of access to affordable nutrient rich foods.
Additionally, fresh fruits and vegetables have lower levels of essential nutrients due to lack of proper crop rotation and over farming. I work a physically demanding job, have to have a second job to get by (luckily they let me do homework there for my continuing education), and I workout 5 days a week to maintain my weight. I take the small scraps left of time to try to spend time with family, eat healthy foods, and sleep enough while managing a hormonal disorder that can lead to extreme weight gain, chronic fatigue, painful joints, etc. So, please, tell me about my lazy generation again.
To Joe, the author of the article, I thank you for taking time to write this. To contribute to the information, I’ve taken a sample for a few days and lost 3 lbs in less than a week. I get headaches from it if I don’t consume enough water. I have higher energy through the day but my energy completely crashes late afternoon (not sure if this is good or bad as I normally have insomnia).

Hi Sara, you are welcome and thanks for sharing your experiences. I’m glad for your 3 lb wt loss.

Not sure if that’s good or bad? Um, bad. It’s like drinking a pot of coffee which spikes your blood sugar.
