Update 7/19/19. Several people have been asking me about the 18 Shake. Does it work? Is it a scam? What's the scoop? Well, the product website calls it the “#1 Luxury Meal Replacement” which is quite a claim. All hype aside, In this review, I'll look at the nutrition and ingredients and science in the 18 shake as well as the price because I think that's important too. I was also curious what's the “18” in the name referred to as well. By the end of this review, you'll have a better idea if the 18 Shake is right for you.
18 Shake Nutrition Facts
Each scoop (serving) of the 18 Shake (27.27 g) has the following Supplement Facts:
ย
Amount Per Serving | Percent Daily Value |
---|---|
Calories 90 | |
Calories from fat 10 | |
Total fat 1.5 g | 2% DV |
Saturated fat 1g | 4% DV |
Trans fat 0 g | N/A |
Cholesterol 30 mg | 11% DV |
Total carbs 8 g | 3% DV |
Dietary fiber 5 g | 21% DV |
Sugars 1 g | N/A |
Protein 15 g | 30% DV |
Each bag has 16 servings. Let's take a closer look at this table and see if we can make it more understandable.
18 Shake Calories
The Supplement Facts table tells us that 1 scoop of the 18 Shake is 90 calories. The Supplement Facts table also tells us that each container has 16 servings (scoops). So, if you used 1 scoop per day, a container would last you only about 2.5 weeks. This is important. See the price for the 18 Shake listed below for more information.
The product website contains various recipes too. They also provide information on the approximate number of calories those recipes have as well. Overall the recipes I saw look fine and add to the nutrition of the shake.
18 Shake Fat Content
The Supplement Facts table tells us that each scoop has 10 calories from fat. In other words, of the 90 total calories in a scoop, 10 of those calories comes from fat. From this information, we can determine the percentage of fat that the shake is. To do this, here is the math:
Fat calories / Total calories X 100
10 fat calories / 90 total calories = 0.111
0.111 X 100 = 11.1% fat.
Answer; Each scoop of the 18 Shake is about 11% fat.
The Supplement Facts label also tells us that each shake provides 2% and 4% respectfully the recommend amount of Total fat and Saturated fat we should aim for each day. As such, the shake is technically “low” in both saturated fat and total fat.
Remember, when reading Nutrition Facts labels, FDA guidelines stipulate that anything that is 5% or less is considered “low” and anything that is 20% or more, is considered “high.”
Overall, that's not too bad.
The Fiber In 18 Shake
The 18 Shake provides 15 grams of fiber per scoop. This comes to 21% of the recommended amount of fiber we should be eating per day. So, it's technically high in fiber.
The 21% is based on us eating 2000 calories per day. If we eat less calories, as most people taking the 18 Shake likely do, then its more than 21%.ย The good thing about fiber is it fills us up and doesn't provide any calories.
The fiber comes from a patented (man-made) fiber called “Fibersol 2” This is a fiber that comes from maltodextrin. This is why if you look at the ingredients, you won't see Fibersol-2 listed. Instead, you will see maltodextrin. I've seen this fiber in many weight loss shakes.
They say that Fibersol-2 is “digestion resistant” which means we can't digest it and it provides no calories. In other supplements, the term used is “digestion resistant starch.”
Like all fiber, maltodextrin/Fibersol-2 helps fill us up, making it less likely for us to overeat or snack between meals.
Other products I've looked at that also contained Fibersol-2 include
See those other reviews for more info on those products.
Fibersol-2 was originally created by Japanโs Matsutani Chemical Industry Co and is produced by Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM). In fact, the company which registered the “Fibersol.com” website is ADM.
In this 2015 study,ย 10 grams of Fibersol-2 made people feel less hungry 1.5-2 hours after using the fiber. In this study, 10 grams were needed. Using only 5 grams of the fiber did not work. This study only looked at appetite. It did not investigate weight loss with Fibersol-2.
Because of this research, Fibersol-2 is likely one of the main key ingredients – if not the main ingredient – in the 18Shake. Remember, the 18 shake has 15 grams of fiber/Fibersol-2 per scoop. So, it looks like the shake is giving people more than what research used. That's good.
You can purchase Fibersol 2 on Amazon – and it's not expensive either.
How Much Protein?
The 18 Shake provides 15 grams of protein per scoop. The protein comes from a combination of:
- Whey protein concentrate
- Whey protein isolate
They call this the “Duo Protein Complex“ on the ingredients list. Whey protein is one of the 2 main proteins in milk. The other protein is casein. Some shakes contain mainly casein -such as the Pure Protein Shake while others contain mostly whey. Whey is a fine protein source and provides all the necessary amino acids that we need.
18 Shake Ingredients
Here are the ingredients for the 18 Shake. Read the table from left to right. Ingredients at the top of the list are present the most. Those at the end of the list are present the least.
Whey protein concentrate | Whey protein isolate | Maltoxextrin (Fibersol-2) |
Natural cocoa | Vitamin A | Vitamin C |
Vitamin D3 | Vitamin E | Vitamin K |
Thiamine | Riboflavin | Niacinamide |
Vitamin B6 | Folic acid | Vitamin B12 |
Biotin | Panthothenic acid | Potassium iodide |
Zinc citrate | Selenium chelate | Copper chelate |
Chromium nicotinate | Xanthan gum | Natural flavoring |
Stevia extract |
For the most part, I've left out a lot of the big names of the vitamins to keep the ingredients as simple as possible. For example, instead of calling the ingredient”cyanocobalamin” I just called it vitamin B12 because that's the name most people use.
Does It Contain Soy?
The ingredient list states that the 18Shake has soy lecithin but not soy protein. Soy lecithin is likely used to make sure the ingredients mix well. That's why it contains Xanthan gum too.
The 18Shake website goes off on a tirade about how “the latest research” (which they didn't reveal) shows that soy is bad for us – esp GMO soy. If you don't like soy, great, but in my opinion I would not worry about it.
Does It Have GMO's?
The website says that the whey protein in the 18 Shake is Non-GMO. So it does not contain genetically modified organisms (GMO). While it's controversial in some circles whether GMOs are bad for us or not, I personally like knowing if a food/supplement is GMO. I appreciate the company stating this.
Is 18 Shake Gluten-Free?
Yes, the supplement website states that the 18Shake is gluten-free. This means it has less than 20ppm of gluten per serving. This is the gluten-free rule set forth by the FDA. Here's the FDA gluten-free page.
How Much Does 18 Shake Cost?
This is where the 18 Shake went off the rails as far as I was concerned. To see the price, I first had to give them my name, address, phone number, etc. Why do they need this information? They don't need it. There is a reason they are doing this. Here's what it says on the “Privacy Page” of 18Shake.com,
By providing us with Personal Information about yourself on our Website or in the course of using our services, you consent to the transfer of your Personal Information, and any other data we acquire about you from third-party service providers for commercial use.
In other words, it sounds like they are saying whether you buy the 18Shake or not the company can still make money by selling your information to others. I wasn't comfortable with that. I get enough fake phone calls, spam, and junk mail.
That said, at the bottom of the website, on the Terms and Conditions Page of 18Shake.com, I discovered these prices for the product:
- 1 pack of the 18Shake is $79.99 (1 month supply)
- If you buy 2 packs of 18Shake, it's $179.97 plus they give 1 free pack
- If you buy 3 packs, it's $249.95 plus they give 2 free packs
This is too expensive for a simple fiber shake.
Who Makes The 18 Shake?
The company is called 18Nutrition.com. To contact the company call 800-614-1820. The address listed at the bottom of the website is 3390 Deronda Dr. Los Angeles, CA 90068.
When I googled that address, I found the Zillow listing of a house.ย I was told this is the corporate office.ย When I called the company I learned that the shake is made in the US and that it is shipped to consumers via a fulfillment center in Georgia which they own.
The Better Business Bureau gives18 shake (18nutrtion.com) a rating of “F.” . The BBB justified this by the failure of the company to respond to 4 of 6 complaints the BBB had on them.ย Ratings change over time so see the BBB file for updates and more information.
How To Contact 18 Shake
The website for the shake lists this phone number: 800-614-1820.
How To Return The 18 Shake?
According to the Terms and Services page of 18Shake.com, there is a 30-day money-back guarantee. It appears the return policy is for unopened products only. Consumers must provide to customer service their order ID and delivery address for a return to be issued.
In addition, they also state that “Before a chargeback can be submitted, a cardholder must write an e-mail to customer support in efforts to fix the issues, ask for an exchange or refund.”ย
The email address to the company is 18Nutrition@gmail.com but it's likely best to call the company first for the most reliable information on how to return the product. Their phone # is 800-614-1820.
If you purchased from Amazon, returning is easy. Take it to any Kohls department store and they will return it to amazon.
What Does 18 Stand For?
Given that 18 is in the name of the 18Shake, I was curious about what the number stood for. When I called the company, I was told that it was because there were 18 ingredients in the shake. But, when I added up the ingredients above, I counted 25, not 18.
So, I'm not sure what the number stands for. I agree it's trivial. I just like to know these things.
See the review of the 310 Shake to see what the 310 in that name stands for.
18 Shake vs. The Competition
There are no studies that compare which weight loss shake is best. At the end of the day, it comes down to price and taste for the most part. I've reviewed MANY weight loss shakes and so to help you decide, here is a quick review of some of the more popular ones out there.
18 Shake vs. ProNourish Shake?
I've written an entire review on the ProNourish shake and compared it to the 18 Shake and several others too.
Here's the ProNourish Review (read review).
18 Shake vs. Thrive Shake
The company, Le-Vel, has several supplements called “Thrive.” one of them is the Thrive Shake. I think for most people which is best comes down to taste and price. See the Thrive Shake review for more about that supplement.
18 Shake vs. Ideal Shape Shake
Ideal Shape is a weight loss shake which contains an ingredient called Slendesta which is an extract of potatoes.ย See the Ideal Shape review for more on that weight loss shake.
18 Shake vs. Shakeology
Shakeology is one of the most popular health and fitness shakes on Earth. Shakeology has a bunch of ingredients but that doesn't make it better. See the Shakeology review for more on this product.
18 Shake vs. Herbalife Shake
Herbalife has been around for decades and has more supplements than you can shake a stick at. One of them is the Formula 1 weight loss shake.ย See the Formula 1 review to check that supplement out.
18 Shake Pro & Con
Here is a quick overview of what I liked and didn't like about this product. These are my opinions. Your's may be different than mine
Pro | Con |
---|---|
Has an ingredient that might work | Expensive |
Low in calories | Company may sell your info to others |
Some say it tastes good | Low in potassium |
I dont know what the "18" stands for ๐ |
Does The 18 Shake Work?
The idea behind weight loss shakes is to substitute the lower calorie shake for something that is more calories. By doing this, we reduce the calories we would ordinarily eat per day. The 18 Shake only has 90 calories if you mix it with water so if you drink two of these per day in place of something else, then sure, I think people would lose weight (assuming they don't cheat).
That said, to me, it just looks like a fiber supplement with some protein added. I say this because I believe the 18 Shake is expensive. The active ingredient – which I believe is Fibersol is a LOT less expensive. So, while I think the shake will work, if used as directed, for me it all comes down to price.
Tracy Handley says
Hi Joe
I must say that I really enjoy reading all the comparisons that you have done on the shakes.
There is just so many out there & itโs so hard to know what is the right thing for your body. All I want is a nutritional, healthy, weight loss shake that has No artificial sweeteners is as natural as possible and doesnโt cost a small fortune!
Iโd also, if possible would like it made in Australia so I donโt have to wait a month of Sundayโs for it to arrive! Yes could pay express post but thatโs just another added expense!
I also noticed the โbiggest Loserโ shake was not anywhere on the lists?
Also Is there away that I can follow your Write upโs? Iโm very interested in keeping up to date with them.
Thank you.
Joe says
Hi Tracy, thanks so much. Thanks for the heads up on the Biggest Loser Shake. Its been a while since Ive watched that show (As an exercise physiologist, I it’s too hard to watch) and I didn’t know they had a shake! I’m going to look into it post a review hopefully soon.
There are a few ways you can keep up with me. I do have a newsletter where I send out tips and updates on reviews I write. There is a sign up form on the right side of the website. I’m on Facebook (SupplementClarity) and Instagram (SupplementClarity) too. I’m having fun with instagram. It’s like my mini review site ๐
Check out the website of Bill Sukala. Hes in Australia too and may have a better idea of shakes made in your country. His website is https://drbillsukala.com/
Im so glad you have been enjoying my reviews Tracy. If I can be of any other help, just ask ๐
Dominik says
If you think 18Shake is expensive, I’d like to know what you think of Isagenix. It’s almost 400$ for 2 meals a day for 30 days. A friend of mine has had success with it, but it’s kinda out of my price range. So I’m thinking of trying the 18Shake. I’ll let you know if I do, how it goes. ๐
Dominik says
I see you did do a review on Isagenix! So now I’m not sure what I should try. I tried ordering the 18Shake and was told my credit card info was wrong. But it was right. I wonder if it’s because I’m ordering it from Canada. I messaged their customer service and hope to receive an answer.
But now that I’m comparing prices, with the USD conversion, 18Shake would be 300$ for a bit over 1 month. But that doesn’t include duties. So maybe I will try Isagenix. Which one do you think is better?
I don’t like the idea of the whole “fasting for 1 day to rid your body of toxins” thing of Isagenix. I just don’t see what those “toxins” are and how fasting would get rid of them.
Joe says
Hi Dominik, glad you found my Isagenix review! While I thought the isagenix shake was not too bad overall, I agree with you on all that stuff about fasting. Fasting is popular these days. People say it helps us live longer and reduces disease. While there is some very interesting animal research, when it comes to weight loss, studies have shown fasting a few days a week works the same way as other diets – it reduces calories we eat.
That is weird about what 18 Shake said about your credit card. I dont think it matters that you are in Canada when it comes to credit card orders. Did you ever get any more word from them on this?
Isagenix has been around a long time. its a reputable company. if its not too expensive and you want to try it, give it a try. dont worry about the fasting aspect of the diet if you dont want to. You should know in a month or less if its working for you.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you too. I’ve been dealing with some website issues.
Doug says
I tried Isagenix two years ago. I did the fasting for two of the eight weeks. I just hated the fasting part. On the fasting days Iโd just do the two shakes and eat nothing but fruit. Otherwise I had the two shakes and a healthy dinner. Over two months I lost 25 lbs.
So it works for sure, as with any calorie cutting, but having the shakes made it easy. I have to admit I always felt a bit hungry and when I stopped the shakes I gained the 20lbs back within a month.
Iโve thought about doing it again, as itโs convenient, but itโs also pricey. But in the end youโll probably spend that much on food anyway. I have a very hard time eating healthy, so only having to worry about one healthy meal a day worked great.
Joe says
Doug, Ive experimented with intermittent fasting as well and I also noticed it a bit liberating not having to eat as much. I just stopped eating at 7pm and fasted through the night and skipped breakfast. that way I was only awake for a short part of the fast. It was nice not to have to think about breakfast a few times a week.
My guess you gained back 20 pounds of water and carbohydrates after you went back to eating normal. If its any consolation, you did not gain 20 pounds of fat.
Joe says
Hi Dominik, when it comes to weight loss shakes, I think they all work the same – the shakes replace high calorie foods we would normally eat. By getting us to eat fewer calories, this is what promotes weight loss. Here is my Isagenix shake review I hope it helps.
If you have any other questions, just ask.
Lisa says
I was scammed out of 200+ with this scam. Upon further looking into the company I found out that they own review sites and promote their product while bashing other products. Shady business to say the least!
WARNING DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY or dietsinreview.com and weightlosstop.com
Joe says
Lisa, dietsinreview really. Ive heard of that site. how did you find the connection between that site and 18 shake? Ive not heard of the other review site.
Lisa says
weightlosstop.com, expertratedreviews.com, customerhealthguide.info and dietsinreview.com all belong to the same company although they have done a pretty good job at hiding that. One has to wonder how did the stars get collected if comments and voting is closed to the public.
If you try to submit a review it shows “awaiting moderation” and it never gets published. My friend is an investigative journalist so she gave me tips on how to find more about them, boy was I in for a surprise ๐
Joe says
Hi Lisa, do you know the company who owns them? I will run this past someone I know who also investigates sites like this. Considering that there are millions of dollars -if not more – to be made in the dietary supplement business, Im not surprised.
Joe says
ask your reporter friend if she would be interested in writing something on fake review sites. I know someone who has done a lot of research on this
Josh says
Worst Product Customer Service ever. I am shocked these people have not been reported to FDA yet. I have developed severe side effect due to the ingredients and was not able to get a refund!
Joe says
Hi Josh, so sorry to hear about your bad reaction. Can you share what bad side effects you had to the 18 Shake? What did their customer service do when you called them?
Kelsey O' Brien says
This took a bit to get used to for the shakes I make. I did not care for the recipe on the package due to it being so chalky. Instead I use one scoop of the protein, 1/2 fresh banana, 1 cup almond milk, 7-9 raw almonds, 1/2 cup frozen or fresh strawberries, 1/4 frozen or fresh blueberries, 1 ice cube and a tsp or so of Matcha powder. This makes a GREAT shake!
I used different berries as I want. My husband loves this recipe but I use 1 whole banana, 2 scoops of the protein, 1 1/2 cup almond milk, tsp matcha, 3/4 cup frozen triple berry, 8-10 raw almonds, and 1 ice cube for his. It took some getting used to and changing the recipes but don’t give up this is great!
Joe says
Hi Kelsey, thanks for sharing your 18Shake recipe. have you or your husband lost weight using 18Shake? How long have you been using it?
Jacqueline says
SCAM! Worst customer service! Stole my money..no refund. Horrible company.
Joe says
Hi Jacqueline, so sorry that happened to you. Can you fill us in on what happened? You can try to lodge a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Here’s the link
https://www.bbb.org/losangelessiliconvalley/business-reviews/health-and-diet-products-retail/18shake-in-los-angeles-ca-389793
Jacqueline says
Thanks-I did file a complaint. Very deceptive advertising. I tried ordering and it was never confirmed until I noticed $250.00 charged to my account. I never ordered that amount. Mike told me to get a full refund I would have to return it to usps as refused/unopened, which I did (since it was already shipped without my knowledge).
I didn’t receive a full refund. Horrible service as well.
Joe says
Hi Jacqueline, good, if you were not getting resolution to your issue, I’m glad you filled the complaint. I feel confident they will respond to the BBB and you will get your refund. companies are often pretty good when it comes to the Better Business Bureau. Do let us know what happens with all this.
Lisa says
I had the same issue. Upon further looking into the company I found out that they own review sites and promote their product while bashing other products. Shady business to say the least!
Joe says
Hi Lisa, I was not aware of the review sites. Unfortunately, Ive seen this before. Do you know the names of review sites? Id like to do some looking into this myself
See my review of DietSpotlight Burn for more on the review sites
Chantale says
Hi Joe, I appreciate the review but wouldn’t the maltodextrin be GMO? Almost all is derived from GM corn unless labelled tapioca maltodextrin to be labelled as non-GMO or certified organic?
I am just looking for the best meal replacement / shake for me and this review is wonderful, I was just curious regarding the maltodextrin.
Joe says
Hi Chantale, good question and I am not sure. I didn’t see anywhere on the 18 Shake website about the maltodextrin being GMO or not. I’m sure if you reach out to the company and ask them they can give you the scoop on this. Let me know what they say.
Glad you found this review helpful ๐ Feel free to share with your friends. I have a bunch of other meal replacement shake reviews posted too.
Meg says
Hey Joe! Thanks for your review! From all your research, which meal replacement/weight loss shake would you suggest for someone trying to lose ~20lbs and tone some muscles?? Thanks!
Joe says
Hi Meg, thanks so much. When it comes to shakes for weight loss, I dont know if one shake stands above the rest. While taste does matter, I also say to look at the calories they contain. I also consider the fiber and protein too. The 18 shake has 90 calories, 15 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. You can use that as a guide if you like. The protein and fiber help keep us full and less likely to snack or overeat.
You could save money by tossing some fruits/veggies in a blender and adding a scoop of protein powder and make you own shake. Most protein powders are about 100 calories per scoop. Combine that with fruits and esp veggies being low in calories and you could probably get the same thing as the 18 shake. There is also some weight loss research on Metamucil (yes that stuff ). this is becuase of its fiber content. See the Metamucil review for more on that.
If you want something to take on the go, the Metrxi RTD 51 shake is a ready made shake that has a lot of protein and not a lot of calories. Heres the metrix rtx51 review.
for muscle toning/strengetning, that will only come from some type of resistance training, whether its at a gym using machines etc or body weight exercises like pushups. we have to stress the muscles for them to get stronger.
I hope that helps Meg. if you have any other questions, just ask.
Jeanne says
Thank you for asking this question, I was wondering the same thing!
Joe says
If either of you have any other questions, just ask ๐
Kaitlin Odom says
Great review Joe! I bought this shake some time ago and while itโs a bit pricy it definitely works. I donโt feel hungry and I like how it tastes. Do you think I should start exercising? I donโt and Iโm already down 10 pounds.
Joe says
Hi Kaitlin, thanks Im glad you enjoyed it and also happy the 18 shake helped you . Feel free to share this review with your friends ๐ Yes I would exercise. The thing with weight loss is if we exercise while losing weight, it helps us hold on to our muscle mass more. If we only diet – no exercise – we lost both fat and some muscle. This is important because when we lose muscle cells, we dont do a good job at making more again. we can build up those that are still around, but those that are destroyed, do not come back. Fortunately we have billions of muscle fibers but we really want to hold on to as much as we can.
Any other questions, just ask ๐
Butts says
That was an awesome review and exactly what I needed to read not this BS that the company has clearly written and just put under a different website. Thank you

Thanks Butts.
Joe says
Hi everyone. I just posted a review of the ProNourish shake. I thought you all might be interested
http://supplementclarity.com/nestle-pronourish-shake-review/
Ian says
Just buy some maltodextrin and add 1 teaspoon to a bowl of soup or breakfast cereal, you’ll be surprised how much weight you’ll lose, plus it works out 200 times cheaper but be careful if you have hypertension or diabetes as it can cause spikes in your blood sugar because it has a high glycemic index. In the UK there is a meal replacement made by Nestle that is a fraction of the cost of 18shake, it has the same ingredients except it has 20gm of protein
Joe says
Hi Ian, is that the Nestle ProNourish shake you are referring to? If yes, thanks for the heads up. I just added it to my list of products to review ๐
Darlene says
Have you tested this Nestle product?
Joe says
Hi Darlene, no I have not tried it yet. I do want to buy it and sample it for a review though. Stay tuned.
Katina Smathers says
I found the maltodextrin online (several to choose from) the nutritional info shows no fiber, is that correct? The one I was looking at was by Myprotein.
Joe says
Katina, I believe you are correct. Maltodextrin has no fiber. Its basically a carbohydrate source. what are you trying to do with the maltodextrin? Add fiber to a shake?
Katina Smathers says
Yes, and in one of your comments you said to add a teaspoon of maltodextrin. I’m looking for help with the “appetite suppressant” to add to a shake.
Joe says
Hi Katina, Im not sure if I said to add a teaspoon of maltodextrin. maybe somebody else did. Either way, I think fiber would be a better choice. Fibers that have been studied for weight loss include
Glucomannan Fiber
Psyllium Fiber
Both of these come in capsuels and powder forms. I prefer the powders because you can add them to smoothies which it sounds you are looking to do.
Mariette Morin says
I wasn’t sure about 18 shake, but after all the hype, I decided to get on the bandwagon and give it a try. I’m so glad I did! I mix mine with different frozen fruits and flavor extracts to change up my flavors daily. I have several favorites such as, lemon blueberry, orange strawberry, and coconut banana. I lost 7 pounds my first week with no other changes to my diet other than replacing my usual breakfast (yogurt and a banana) with a shake. I also noticed an increase in my energy levels. I love it!
Jessica says
How many servings per package of 18shake? Which flavor is more popular vanilla or chocolate?
Joe says
Hi jessica, I’m not sure which is more popular – chocolate or vanilla. I think its a personal preference. I’m not sure how many servings per package either. Does anyone else here know?
Shell in San Diego says
16 servings. So you need 2 pkgs/mo
Joe says
Hi Shell, yes, on the package I saw at their website (I double checked today before I replied) each container has 16 servings (1 scoop is a serving). So, if you used 1 scoop per day, it would last about 2.5 weeks. You’d need 2 containers to last a month.
Kat says
Hi Joe! I was doing research on the 18Shake and came upon your blog. You list a link for Amazon for the Fibersol. I clicked on it but there were so many different items that came up. Do you recommend a particular product from the Amazon site?
Thanks for your research on the 18Shake! It sure helped me in my decision to see if there were cheaper options which would have the same benefits!
Thank you!
Joe says
Hi Kat, while I always choose a shake you can make yourself using real food – here is what I like to make -if you are looking for something you can scoop into a blender, take a look at the Isagenix Isalean Shake. I like that it has a good amount of fiber a protein. It has a wee bit more calories than other shakes but Im ok with that if you are using this for breakfast or in place of a more higher calorie meal.
Here’s my review of the Isagnix shake if you want to learn more about it
Lisa says
Also, try Quest Protein shakes. Good amount of protein and low in calories and it actually tastes well plus it is reasonably priced. I just started using it and I love it.
Joe says
I agree Quest Bars taste pretty good esp chocolate chip cookie dough flavor ๐
Here’s quest bars on Amazon

Thanks! I have been looking for a shakeology replacement, and stumbled upon 18shake and the same sites Patrick mentioned. Thanks for giving us an unbiased review, I really appreciate it!

Hi Lauren, you are very welcome.I’m happy to have been of assistance to you ๐
Patrick C says
Thanks for your article! I have been looking into a reliable weight loss product. The 18 Shake looked too promising. As I did my research I looked at several Internet sites having to do with 18Shake. It looks like most of them are actually 18Shake sites under different names. LOOK OUT!!!! If they were legitimate why would they put out fake sites with different names all validating the product as though they were independent reviewers. Buyer BewaRE!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS FOR YOUR POSTING!!
Joe says
Hi Patrick, happy I was able to help.
Lisa says
That’s exactly what I found. I guess this is how they control customer feedback. Own websites that rank well, put 5 stars on each and make it look like an amazing product. SCAM at it’s best.
