Extend your life with XtendoVite. Those words got my attention as I listened to a podcast commercial during a long drive home one night. My first thoughts were what is XtendOvite? What are the ingredients? and Can it really extend your lifespan? This XtendOvite review will cover the research on the supplement and its ingredients in addition to side effects, who makes, testimonials, it and several other things. Does XtendOvite work? Let's see. See the Bergamot review and apple cider vinegar reviews too.
1 XtendOVite Health Benefits
On the website for the supplement they say it's supposed to
- Support your heart and circulation
- Boosts natural immune system
2 How Does XtendOVite Work?
From a brochure I located at XtendOvite.com, the supplement is supposed to work by killing “killing yeast in the gut and detoxifying the metals in the liver” The brochure also said the supplement “strengthens the heart and arteries to help reduce cholesterol from building up.”
Oddly, the website doesn't mention killing yeast or detoxifying metals in the liver. These things are only mentioned in the brochure you have to download.
3 XtendOvite Research
When I went to the product websites (HeartDrop.com and XtendOvite.com) I did not see any clinical research listed for the supplement. I also was not able to locate any product-research when I searched clinical databases either. This means, the supplement – itself – may not yet have been tested in a lab to see if it really works or not.
So, The best way to understand this supplement is to look at it's ingredients. Let's do that next.
4 XtendOVite Ingredients
Each capsule of XtendOvite has the following ingredients
Ingredient | Amount |
Hawthorn leaf extract | 100 mg |
Garlic powder | 75 mg |
Valerian root powder | 75 mg |
Cayenne powder | 75 mg |
Bilberry leaf powder | 75 mg |
Ginkgo biloba leaf powder | 30 mg |
Milk thistle | 30 mg |
If a bottle has 180 capsules and you take the suggested 3 capsules per day, a bottle will last you 2 months.
Hawthorn
Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) has long been used to improve the pumping ability of the heart. Hawthorn been studied to treat congestive heart failure (CHF), a serious disorder where the heart does not pump as well as it used to. Because CHF is very serious, don't self medicate with hawthorn or supplements containing this herb.
Each XtendOvite capsule has 100 mg of hawthorn. While that is not much, care should be taken when using any supplement which can alter how the heart beats. This is especially true in people who have heart problems. It is my belief hawthorn should be used under the care of a doctor.
Garlic
Research suggests garlic (Allium sativum) appears to improve the elasticity of blood vessels. More elastic blood vessels are less prone – in theory -to hardening of the arteries. Garlic also seems to lower blood sugar too – good news for diabetics. Several studies I saw used a specific brand called Kwai garlic.
Research also has noted garlic can reduce blood pressure, triglycerides, total cholesterol and bad (LDL) cholesterol too. Garlic is different than Kyolic aged garlic extract, which is a specific extract of garlic that has heart health research too.
Each capsule of XtendOvite has 75 mg of garlic. So, if you took 3 per day, that adds up to 225 mg of garlic. While this is a modest dose, it is close to what some researchers have used.
See the Bergamot review. This supplement also has evidence it may lower cholesterol.
Valerian Root Powder
Long before it was the name of a bad sci-fi movie (yes, I said it – I didn't like the movie), Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) was -and still is – a popular anti-anxiety supplement. It also appears to help people fall asleep, after a few weeks of use, which is why this herb is also found in sleep supplements.
The XtendOvite company says Valerian is present to help the other ingredients to “work more effectively” although, I cannot locate any human proof for this.
Cayenne Powder
Cayenne, also known as Capsicum (Capsicum frutescens) is found in peppers like chili peppers. When applied topically, it seems to decrease pain. Other evidence suggests cayenne may help blood pressure too.
The company makes some pretty strong statements about cayenne such as:
- “Cayenne stimulants blood flow – instantly”
- “it dilates arterial walls and cuts through mucus in the veins this increasing circulation to the extremities and helping to lower blood pressure”
- Cayenne also regulates blood flow effectively so circulation through the body is even and there is no excessive pressure in any one part”
These are very specific claims. While the company which makes XtendOvite is based in Canada, supplement companies in the US are often cautioned from making such exact claims about what their products might do.
See the It Works ThermoFit review for more insights.
Bilberry Leaf Powder
Billberry (Vaccinium myrtillus) is a berry and as such, it's full of healthy plant nutrients called anthocyanidins and other compounds similar to other fruits like blueberries. Research has noted bilberry might lower blood sugar and A1c levels. While bilberries have a reputation for helping night blindness, research so far tends to find it might not help this condition.
Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Powder
Gingko is commonly used to help memory (it's debatable if it does this) but in XtendOvite, I think this herb may be used to help heart disease. That said, one study of over 3000 older people showed no difference in heart attacks or dying compared to placebo.
To be fair, some evidence suggests ginkgo may improve walking ability in people who suffer from peripheral artery disease, a condition which causes leg pain when walking.
I experimented with ginkgo to treat my tinnitus. It thought it gave me headaches and so I stopped taking it.
Milk Thistle
Most known for helping to purify the liver, milk thistle (Silybum marianum), might also reduce blood sugar and A1c levels. Since high blood sugar might lead to diabetes and this in turn, lead to heart disease, my hunch is this is the reason milk thistle is used in XtendOVite.

The XtendOvite trademark was registered by Donald Wiskin. I believe he is the head of the company. An audio clip interview with him can be heard on the supplement website.

7 XtendoVite Testimonials
XtendOvite had a 4.5 out of 5 star rating on Amazon when I checked. That is impressive. Many of the testimonials said XtendOvite worked (82% said it worked when I looked).
ReviewMeta.com is an independent website which helps you figure out if Amazon testimonials are trustworthy. It uses math equations (algorithms) in an attempt to tell see if Amazon reviews are from real people posting honest opinions.
When I ran the XtendOvite Amazon testimonials through ReviewMeta, the vast majority of them passed. While nothing is 100% correct, this, this is a good sign.
You can use ReviewMeta for any product on Amazon which has reviews. Just search for a product which has reviews and enter the URL (the long “https.www……yada, yada, yada” at the top of your browser) into ReviewMeta and hit Enter.
You can read the Amazon reviews here.
8 Can XtendOvite Prevent Heart Attacks?
There is no proof taking XtendOvite can reduce the risk of a having a heart attack or stroke. The company makes no claims the supplement does this. I wanted to stress this also in case you were not aware.
9 XtendOVite And Carpel Tunnel
While there appears to be no clinical proof XtendOvite helps carpel tunnel syndrome, the company website has a video featuring a mechanic who said his carpel tunnel was cured after a few weeks. If it helped reduce your carpel tunnel pain, leave a comment below. I'd like to know if it helped you.
10 How Long Until It Starts To Work?
The XtendOVite brochure says “doctors start to see results in as little as six months” and “you'll feel great in one year.” I think there are some problems with these sentences such as:
- Heart disease is complicated
- Clinical evidence it takes 6 months to work cannot be located
- What doctors have seen results in 6 months?
- Without clinical evidence, how do they know ‘you'll feel great in 1 year” ?
11 XtendOVite Drops
XtendOVite comes in capsules and a liquid tincture. Both products have the same ingredients although with the tincture, a suggested amount to take is 15 drops.
12 Why Does The Tincture Contain Alcohol?
XtendOvite tincture drops list it containing 40% grain alcohol. The the company website says the alcohol used to improve the delivery of the ingredients. The tincture does not have to be refrigerated after opening it. While I doubt if the alcohol in the tincture is enough to cause someone to fail a DUI breathalyzer test, when in doubt, play it safe and don't drive soon after you use XtendOvite tincture.
13 How Much Do You Take?
For XtendOvite capsules, the bottle has a “suggested amount” of 3 capsules per day. As for the tincture version, it is to be taken 3 times a day. Ideally the company says to use, first thing upon waking, with dinner and at bedtime. Each time XtendOvite drops are taken, the company suggests 15 drops at a time.
If you have never taken this before, it may be wise to start with less – such only 1 capsule per day – for the first week or less than 15 drops at a time, to see how you respond to it.
14 Buy XtendOVite
XtendOvite is not sold in stores like Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Costco, Target, Rite Aid, Sams Club, Vitamin Shoppe, GNC or Vitamin World. It can only be obtained from the company website (XtendoVite.com or HeartDrop.com) and at various online outlets like Amazon.
15 XtendOVite Price
Both XtendOvite capsules and tincture were listed for $69.95 on the HeartDrop.com website when this review was created.
16 Return XtendoVite
When I checked, I didn't see specific instructions on the company website for returning this product. That said, I am sure the company will be happy to help if this is what you want to do. I recommend calling the company to learn how to do this:
- US calls: 877-928-8822
- International calls: (1 011) (613) 376-622
17 Does XtendOvite Extend Life?
Even though it was slogan “extend your life with XtendOVite” which first got my attention, I was not able to find any proof this supplement prolongs the lives of those who take it.
18 Can You Make Your Own?
XtendOvite has 7 herbal ingredients so you could purchase, garlic, bilberry, etc. separately in the amounts shown above and take them instead. The downside to doing this however is you would be taking many more supplements per day.
19 XtendOVite Side Effects
Here are some things to consider when taking this supplement. This list is not complete. When in doubt, ask your doctor and pharmacist or dietitian.
- Because cayenne may burn the eyes, wash your hands before you touch your face if you are handling the capsules or tincture.
- Speak to your doctor and pharmacist if you take any medications such as blood thinners, antidepressants, sleep aids or other medicines.
- Speak to your pharmacist or doctor if you take Viagra or similar drugs or supplements for male performance.
- Don't take if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
- Stop taking XtendOvite at least 2 weeks before having surgery.
20 Does XtendOVite Work?
This is the big question. If we leave out the testimonials and claims, the ingredients in XtendOvite make some sense from a heart health perspective although I'm not a fan of self treating with hawthorn. Remember, heart disease and blood pressure problems are complicated and I think the severity of your health condition will play a role on whether this supplement works for you. I think results will vary depending on what your health situation is. It is suggested to show the ingredients to your doctor and pharmacist if you take any medications.
I have carple tunnel syndrome and a friend mentioned Xtendovite to me just the other day. Thank you so much for posting that video of the mechanic with carpel tunnel. I may give Xtendovite a try. How long until I know if its working?
Hi Holly, If Xtendovite is going to help, I’d say it may take a couple of weeks or more but I think that would depend on how bad the carpel tunnel pain was. If you try it and it worked, please do let me know.
I just heard the Xtendovite commercial and rushed home to check it out. Yours was one of the first reviews I saw. Thank you so much for this!
Hi Barbara, so glad you found me! You are very welcome 🙂
