Update 5/16/20. What is Vemma? Is Vemma really the “Worlds Most Powerful liquid Antioxidant” or is Vemma a scam? These are some of the questions I've been asked lately, so I decided to do a Vemma review. When I went to the Vemma nutrition website, I discovered that Vemma is more than a supplement company. The company also has a multi-level marketing aspect to it, where people can have their own Vemma vitamin drink business and sell products to others. Other supplements I've reviewed previously that have a multilevel marketing business part include Shakeology, TriVita, and Juice Plus. Let’s leave the MLM part alone and just focus on Vemma itself. The CEO of Vemma says that it is “physician formulated” and “blends Eastern and Western Philosophies” and that Vemma contains “plant-based mysterious elements like OPCs and EGCGs. Currently, Vemma offers 6 different supplements but their flagship product is just called “Vemma”. What I want to do here is review science behind Vemma and see what we can discover.
Also, see the review of Vemma Bode Meal Replacement Shake.
Who Makes Vemma?
The supplement is a product of Vemma Nutrition Company. The address for the company is 8322 East Hartford Drive Scottsdale, AZ 85255. A check of Google Images shows that this address leads to a rather large building that says “Vemma” on the outside.
On the science page of Vemma.com, it's mentioned that the company“owns, operates, and oversees” the facility that makes the supplement. That's good. The facility is located in Tempe Az. So this is a USA-made supplement. That's good too.
Most supplement companies appear, to me, to exist only on paper, outsourcing the production and distribution of their products to 3rd party entities. So, to me, it's rare to see a company that makes its own stuff.
There is also another Vemma location that appears to be dedicated to its energy drink, called Verve. The address for that building is 3732 Virginia Beach Blvd Virginia Beach, VA 23452.
According to the Better Business Bureau, the company has been in business since 2007. See the BBB file for updates and more information.
Vemma Research
In a video on the product's website -vemma.com – the CEO of Vemma says he has put “hundreds of thousands of dollars into clinical science to prove what Vemma can do for you and your family.” Two studies posted on their science page. These studies are:
Journal of Medicinal Food. Study name: Effect of a Mangosteen Dietary Supplement on Human Immune Function: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial. This study involved 59 people
and
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. Study name: Bioavailability and Antioxidant Effects of a Xanthone-Rich Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana) Product in Humans. This study involved 20 people.
Looking over the studies I noticed that:
1. Both of these studies are published in health journals in 2009 and are peer-reviewed. That’s good.
2. Both studies involved humans, which is also good.
3. One of the studies notes that Vemma:
- increased T helper cells (an immune system cell) and other aspects of immunity
- reduced CRP levels (a marker for cellular inflammation)
- improved overall feelings of health
Study Summary
Of these two studies, one basically says that the ingredients in Vemma can be absorbed by the body and the other finds the supplement can help the immune system, lower inflammation and help us feel better.
So, while that's less proof than I'd like, it's good when a company helps support research on its own products because this is rare. I look forward to other Vemma studies.
Vemma Ingredients
So, the supplement has a lot of vitamins and minerals. While that's good, you'd also find those in many other health drinks so I won’t review them all here because I have written about many of them in other posts (Tip: use the search box on this site to find out more about the vitamins).
Vemma has 1000 IUs of vitamin D. I usually recommend people to get their vitamin D levels checked because low levels appear to increase the risk of various health problems. The RDA for vitamin D was recently increased to 600IUs.
I noticed that Vemma only contained one type of vitamin E – alpha-tocopherol. There are 8 different types of vitamin E. Alpha-tocopherol is the most common in the body. The other types of vitamin E are also anti-oxidants. To be fair, most supplements also only contain alpha-tocopherol.
The main ingredients in Vemma vitamin drinks are said to be:
- Mangosteen
- Aloe Vera
- Green tea
All 3 of these ingredients ads up to 25.2 grams (that’s a little less than 1 ounce)
Let’s look at the research on each separately
Mangosteen
I believe mangosteen (scientific name Garcinia mangostana) is the main active ingredient in Vemma because mangosteen is mentioned in the title of both of the Vemma studies conducted so far. Mangosteen is sometimes marketed in other products as Xango Juice.
Mangosteen does have some antioxidant effects. We, humans, make antioxidants naturally and they are in fruits and vegetables as well as “superfoods” like mangosteen. That said, I should mention that there is no good proof that mangosteen is a better antioxidant than what you would find in other fruits. Mangosteen is a different kind of fruit and as such can be a part of a healthy diet, but whether its better than other fruits, I don't think so.
In this review of mangosteen juice ads, the researcher compares the supplement ads to the clinical research. It's an interesting read for those who are interested.
Aloe Vera
Aloe vera appears to have antioxidant and antibacterial properties. There is also some evidence that parts of aloe vera may have an effect on lowering insulin levels and weight loss. Other studies appear to show that aloe vera may help lower cholesterol and LDL levels as well as hemoglobin A1C levels (a marker for diabetes progression).
These studies are not on Vemma but on other aloe vera preparations, some of which may not be available to the public.
Studies showing positive effects do not use much, only about a half an ounce per day. This is important to keep in mind, given that aloe vera can be a laxative. I have no proof that one brand is better than another.
Here is a brand of aloe juice on Amazon that has several positive reviews.
Green Tea
Green tea gets a lot of attention from researchers. There is research showing that green tea may help various forms of cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and even weight loss and heart disease. Does that mean Vemma might do some of these things too? This is currently unknown.
While it's the EGCG in green tea that often gets a lot of attention, it's important to remember that there is a lot of other things in green tea that may have beneficial effects. As such, it's good to drink tea as opposed to individual green tea ingredients that appear “sexy” to researchers.
The green tea used in Vemma is decaffeinated so it should not keep anyone awake at night.
Vemma Side Effects
The supplement has been around a long time and is likely ok in most healthy people. If your not healthy here are some things to consider.
- Start with less than recommended for the first week
- Stop taking at least 2 weeks before having surgery
- talk to your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding
As far as I can see, very little human research has been conducted on mangosteen. Most mangosteen research is basically performed on isolated cells in a test tube or lab animals. When eaten as food, it is likely safe for most people. As for mangosteen supplements, side effects will probably vary by the health of the person, medications they take, and how much mangosteen the supplement contains.
Mangosteen may have a blood thinner effect due to its effect on the enzyme cyclooxygenase which does many things – including playing a role in blood clotting. This may be an issue for people who take blood thinner medications.
There is a report of a man who became sick using a mangosteen supplement every day for a year. The mangosteen supplement appeared to alter the acidity of the body, causing the man to vomit, have abdominal pain, and have rapid breathing. These are symptoms of a condition called lactic acidosis.
This doesn't mean Vemma will do the same thing. It probably won’t but it’s worth pointing out just in case anyone else experiences these symptoms with other mangosteen products.
- Some cancer therapies – like radiation therapy – kill cancer cells because they create free radicals. This is a good use of free radicals. Since antioxidants neutralize free radicals, would antioxidant supplements be bad for someone getting treated for cancer? This is a very BIG– and important – question that people must discuss with their doctor. This is true for all supplements.
- The question about mangosteen and cancer treatment has also been addressed by others, so do take this caution seriously if you have cancer. Given the complexity of cancer and cancer therapies, the decision to use antioxidant supplements is best decided by an oncologist who knows about these sorts of things.
- Aloe vera may be a blood thinner. Speak to your doctor if you take blood thinner meds. Aloe vera might also lower blood sugar so be careful if you are a diabetic. There is not much proof on either of these side effects but be aware of them just in case.
As is listed on the Vemma FAQ sheet, the supplement contains a little lithium. This may be due to its natural occurrence in the food. Lithium is sometimes used by doctors to treat manic depression. I'm sure Vemma only has a little lithium but I wonder if this might be a problem in people who were taking lithium or other anti-depressants? What about supplements that might have similar effects ? When in doubt, ask your doctor about this for more information.
There are isolated case reports of lithium supplement toxicity. Some research finds lithium may cause the heart to beat irregularly. Would Vemma do this? I don't know.
Vemma also has a little Vanadium. Vanadium (as vanadyl sulfate) used to be popular among weight lifters until they figured out it didn’t work for them. Vanadium may lower blood sugar levels which means it might interact with diabetes medications.
How Much Does Vemma Cost?
A bottle sells for about $30. By the time you read this, the price may be different so check for yourself.
Here's Vemma on Amazon too.
Vemma And The FTC
In August 2015 the Federal Trade Commission took action against Vemma alleging that the company was basically a Pyramid Scheme. The FTC alleged that Vemma specifically marketed itself to college students and other young adults with the prospect of getting rich selling Vemma supplements. In 2019 the company agreed to refund 2 million to affiliates who lost money on the supplement
Does Vemma Work?
While I like that there are a couple of studies on Vemma, right now, the research isn't where I'd like it to be. There is some interesting research on mangosteen, but most of what I see involves test tubes or lab animal research. As such, I'm not sure if Vemma is better than other mangosteen products. I hear that new Vemma research is in the works and I will add those studies to this review as I become aware of them. For now, I'm on the fence as to whether Vemma promotes health any better than just eating more “regular” fruits and vegetables. See the review of the Vemma Bode Meal Replacement Shake.
What do you think?
Here’s an updated link to the BBB rating for Vemma, which is now A+, not B-.
Dwight, thanks for the update. I’m glad for the upgrade. I also noticed that Vemma is now a BBB accredited business also.
The pricing information above is completely INCORRECT. One bottle IS NOT $63, that is 2 – 32oz bottles, which is a one month supply for one person using the full 2oz daily dose.
Vemma and Verve (energy drinks) have been clinically studied in 4 INDEPENDENT, double-blind, placebo, human tests. Results were raised antioxidant levels and lower C-Reactive protein (which causes inflammation and swelling pain). Inflammation was reduced by up to 29.5%. That’s huge. There are way too many benefits to list here and I suppose it’s best to try the product yourself to see if it works for you.
Bloodwork is really the only way to tell if anything is going on in your body from taking any supplement. I know people who have experienced less pain in joints because of the reduced swelling. Check out the clinical studies for yourself to decide.
This report/blog is good, but incomplete. You can see a quick product video at website removed and then get your questions answered from there. RESEARCH IS FREE!!!
Dwight, can you please list the names of the 4 studies on Vemma (not Verve since this post is only on Vemma). I listed 2 studies in my review but if you have other studies let me know. I’m always happy to update my reviews with new, relevant information.
Joe, you are correct with your 2 clinical studies on Vemma. The other 2 are on Verve, which contains the full dose of Vemma. I believe they have also recently studied the new Bod-ē Build 25g ready to drink protein shake.
Thanks Dwight.
Our family has been taking Vemma for 6 years with good results. My kids do not get sick…ever. My daughter was the only child in her preschool class who did not get strep a couple of years ago! I will sometimes start to feel like I’m coming down with something so I will add an extra shot of Vemma for a couple of days and I don’t get sick, just almost sick. I can’t prove that it is the Vemma that has strengthened my family’s immune system, but I’m sure not going to stop using it!
I will say, I don’t love the energy drinks (they make my heart race as do other brands) and have not tried the other products. We only use the original Vemma vitamins and have used Vemma Next with my children with good results. Nothing dramatic, we just feel better when we take it and don’t ever get sick.
I am signed up as a “Brand Partner”, but I only order it for our family. I haven’t been harassed by anyone to grow a business and have no desire to make it my religion 🙂
Elizabeth, thanks for the feedback and for letting me know what you and your kids use. Ill try to circle around eventually and take a look at how those Vemma products might help the immune system. I don’t blame you about not changing religions 😉
Joe – do you have a review on Vemma’s Bode Shake Protein powder??
Diane, not yet. I just heard they had protein. Do you have a label picture you can send? My Antivirus goes crazy when I go to the Vemma website
Joe ~ I have the product “fact” sheets I could send you. It is about 8 pages. where can I send it? or I could take a photo of the package?
Diane, Ill send you a private email now. If you can attach a picture of the ingredients list and front label that will help me a bunch.
My sister is a Pharmacologist/Microbiologist, and personally- she is my home pharmacist. Due to the fact that I have many respitory conditions with a case of digestive issues and an immune suppression problem, my sister is always watching what I can and cannot have. To top it off, I also have rrythmia.
My fiances brothers got into the Vemma industry and gave me some samples to try. First thing I did was give it to my sister to check. First thing she told me:
The Antioxidant drink and 2 of the “Verve” drinks have 200% of Folate, which for people like me who need to be taking these “healthy drinks” because we have so many issues, can cause cardiac problems, cancer development and birth deffects in pregnant women. ( all of these come with drinking the products very often over a long period of time).
Although my sister warned me not to drink it, I had a little over half the can of the Coffee Vemma Verve drink because i wanted to support my future inlaws. 13 hours later, I woke up with terrible chest pains.
I don’t recommend this product for anyone. this product is for people like me who are unhealthy, yet we can’t because it will cause us even more harm.
And if this is supposed to be an alternative for those who drink monsters and red bulls all the time, it will cause so many health issues along the way
I love vemma verve. And especially the bode shake. I do not push there product but I do encourage people to look into all the positive outcomes that have come about because of the formula.
For somebody who is typically healthy one dose a day should boost energy levels within two weeks. If you have significant pain you might add another dose. One dose is 2 oz. it’s been great for my friends and I to get away from the soda and unhealthy beverages such as red bull or monster. Glad to be affiliated with the company.
William, thanks. Are you aware of any new research on Verma supplements?
Pushy with the sales… a friend of many decades actually asked me yet again (I was already a customer/rep) a day after a death in the family when I was “going to start my business”. I called the corporate office, and if you can behave worse than she did, they did. Disgusting.
I just wanted to update you on the cost of 1 bottle of vemma – through the vemma website, 1 bottle is $38.45 and not $63
Nicole, thanks. It was 63 when I went to their website and wrote my review. maybe they are lowering the price?
Hello Karim,
Yes It is available in Saudi Arabia & if were aloud I would be happy to share some more info with you.
Rose, thanks for letting Karim know 🙂
Is it available in Saudi Arabia
Karim, you will have to contact their website and see.
Hi Joe! I just got involved with the Vemma company. Of course they were trying to recruit me, but their product appears to be what I need. 2 school friends of mine are in our for the future. I think they might be a little naive about the #s but I needed help simply because of my struggles with symptoms of menopause. Arthritis, weight gain, cholesterol and fatigue.
I purchased the protein shake and bod-e burn zero caffeine. My friends gave me Vemma renew as well. I always eat good. Try to only eat natural foods. I’m on my 4th day and my energy levels is better then before. I have been researching the product to make sure it is safe. I enjoyed your research. Can you research Verve and let me know how safe that is? Thank you
Wendy, thanks for the feedback. Ill see what I can do about some of the other Vemma products. One thing that has been bothering me is that when I try to go to Vemma.com my antivirus blocks that address and I get this message “This web page is on the list of websites with dubious reputation or websites with potentially unwanted content.”
It never used to do this. That makes me wonder if Vemma.com contains a virus – which makes me not want to go to it. Does anyone else have antivirus issues with Vemma.com?
This page offers the Certificate of Analysis and all the clinical studies.~ http://www.vemma.com/science/test-results.cfm I can not imagine why you are not able to access Vemma.com ???
Nancy, not only could I not get vemma, my antivirus went off when I clicked on your link too! I did just sent an email to my antivirus (Eset Nod 32) to see if I can find a reason why.
What in the world?? I even opened with a different server on my computer just straight http://www.vemma.com
Nancy, I know. its weird. In the past everything was fine and then a few months ago my antivirus started showing a warning. Ive typed in the address myself and even looked at the site in Chrome, firefox and IE. the message is the same. I wonder if anybody else using Eset Nod 32 has the same problem?
My wife’s browser began giving her a message about blocking access to a few websites – that sounds similar to your difficulties. I believe she did a search with the specific wording of the message and found a page that walked her through removing the virus that was causing the issue. She was very proud of having been able to correct the problem without having to resort to restoring to an earlier date! Hope it is as simple for you all who have this issue.
Ray, thanks for the heads up! What antivirus are you using? Ive submitted reports to my antivirus maker to take a look at this to see if they are accidentally blocking Vemma. So far I have not heard anything back.
Karim,
As of right now unfortunately the product is not available in Saudi Arabia.
Hey Joe, I currently drink shakeology (vegan chocolate bc the regular killed my stomach) and have been for awhile now. I don’t believe that is has helped me lose weight or gain energy and the price is $129 a bag, I’m a coach so i get the discount but STILL. So i was wondering if you think its probably and ok choice to switch to Vemma bode protein. I am lactose intolerant if that helps… Thanks!
FitMamamelissa, I have not yet had a chance to look at Vemma Bode Protein. whats in it? whey protein?
As an aside, here is my shakeology review. Do take note of the side effects and the finding that shakeology was found to have lead in it.
Oh wow. Lead! That’s scary…I’ll have to look into that. Vemma bode is a protein meal replacement. I believe it does have whey protein.
Anybody else have an alert pop up when they go to the Vemma website? When I go to Vemma.com my antivirus (Nod 32) pops up an alert saying “This web page is on the list of websites with dubious reputation or websites with potentially unwanted content.” Does anybody else get this?
Yes I get the same alert and I also use ESET NOD 32.
Vito, thanks for the confirmation! I never heard back from ESETabout why we were getting the error message
Blend of whey, pea, and rice protein.
If its got whey, why the need rice and pea protein? How much protein per scoop?
2 scoops in water 16g. 1 scoop with milk 16g. So I guess 8g per scoop. Says “proprietary protein blend”. Whatever that means.
8 grams per scoop is not very much. There are many protein powders out there that have 15-20 grams per scoop and dont have many calories either.
More meal replacement for weight loss than a true proteun shake I’d think. (my husband drinks it as part of the regemine). The Bode burn liquid in a can has 20g. (collagen, pea, and rice protein).
Collagen, pea protein and rice protein are all incomplete proteins. this means that they are missing one or more essential amino acids that we do not make. Now, its possible -and I think probable – that collage, rice and pea protein compliment each other by making up for the others deficits by providing what the others do not provide. That said, why not just eat a complete protein (like whey protein) which is already a complete protein?
Hi Joe,
As stated on the website the proprietary pritein blend is whey concentrate, pea and organic whole grain brown rice. As an ex GNC employee I see this being a great protein shake for people with sensitive stomachs and one that would not curdle in your belly if you choose to work out after taking.
Shannon
Shannon, ok if it has whey protein then that’s good – and if it does help those with sensitive stomaches, then thats another advantage. Does it contain collagen?
Hi Joe,
So I have just purchased my first pack of vemma products, which include the energy drink and the protein shake.
There appears to be a medicinal taste to the energy drink which I am not keen on but I have experienced increased energy.
Not too sure about the health benefits but I definitely feel more awake ever since I have been consuming the products.
Is there any real health benefits to this substance?
Hi Jamie, thanks for the feedback on the taste. Other than what I found when I reviewed it, I’m not aware of any good proof for health benefits. I’d like to see more studies on it.
I currently use Verve, largely because my parents sell Vemma and they “strongly encourage” me to take it, lol. It’s more out of respect than desire. I do have a concern though with their “Mineral Blend.” Seems to me there is a lot of stuff in their blend I really don’t want to be putting in my body. Also, my friend works for a Health and Nutrition store and she expresses the same concerns. I’m just looking for your thoughts on the matter. Here is a list of their blend lifted from their website.
Carbon (Organic), Calcium, Sodium, Sulfur, Magnesium, Chloride, Bromide, Fluoride, Iodine, Potassium, Niobium, Aluminum, Iron, Phosphorus, Silica, Manganese, Boron, Strontium, Titanium, Tungsten, Copper, Zinc, Tin, Zirconium, Molybdenum, Vanadium, Chromium, Selenium, Nickel, Cobalt, Lithium, Gallium, Barium, Yttrium, Neodymium, Hafnium, Cadmium, Thorium, Antimony, Cerium, Tellurium, Beryllium, Samarium, Dysprosium, Erbium, Bismuth, Gadolinium, Cesium, Lanthanum, Praseodymium, Europium, Lutetium, Terbium, Ytterbium, Holmium, Thallium, Thulium, Tantalum, Germanium, Gold, Platinum, Rhodium, Rubidium, Ruthenium, Scandium, Silver, Indium.
Jason, I think Vemma needs to show me proof that Verve lives up what they say, that its better. That proof needs to be published peer reviewed studies using humans. I personally dont think Verve has a lot of any of those ingredients (like Gold and Platinum). From the ingredients it looks like it has the most Carbon and the least Indium. For me, I think you can save your money on it.
Joe, Vemma just concluded their yearly convention. This year we had nearly 10,000 attendees at the Mirage Convention Center in Las Vegas and we are headed to the MGM Grand next year. The company is investing a lot into new products, new technologies, and of course research for our customers. One of the exciting announcements included the completion of clinical studies on verve! Here it is!
(website removed..)
Team, I had to remove the link that you provided because when I clicked on it my antivirus said it might contain “potentially unwarranted content”. It says “This web page is on the list of websites with dubious reputation or websites with potentially unwanted content.”
As an aside this has happened for the last couple of months anytime I try to go to the Vemma website. It didn’t used to and nothing else has changed on my side. Im using Nod 32 antivirus. anybody else getting this odd message?
I got the same issue today which certainly does not inspire confidence… Thank you for the great reviews!
Viviane, you are quite welcome.
I have taken liquid multivitamins and joint supplements in the past without seeing or feeling results. After just 4 days of taking Vemma the huge inflammation ball in my knee disappeared. I eat healthy and oddly to many people, I love my fruits and veggies. I am 33, naturally thin, and exercise regularly so weight is not an issue and I am in shape.
I have noticed a slight difference in my energy level (2 weeks of Vemma), but the biggest change for me is that my once achy joints and back (that even woke me up at night with pain) now feel great. I do heavy weight lifting so this product has made a huge difference for me! PS I only take the straight Vemma so the increase in energy is not because of their energy line.
My kids’ god-parents take it as well. She no longer has any hip pain, but did not experience a change in energy. He took it for his tennis elbow and no longer has pain. He quit taking it for 3 days, but got back on it because he had more energy for his long work days while on Vemma. They have been taking the product for 7 months now, but experienced their results within the first month of taking the product.
After seeing my quick results my father decided to give it a shot. He just got his order in and started Vemma 3 days ago, and when I was over visiting I heard him telling his brother about how great his arthritic joints are feeling, how great his back feels and how he has been using the restroom regularly. He bought the Verve energy shot too, but I don’t know how he feels on those. I will have to find out.
So all I can say is Vemma somehow has the right combination and is working for the people I know that has taken it.
Thanks so much. I too am thankful for an unbiased article. Started using Verve about 3 weeks ago and my energy levels are GREAT! I have compared it to watching a DVD. Since the 7th grade I have had this foggy (dream like) feeling and have only received glimpses of clarity throughout my life. I will be 50 in April.
Back to the DVD comparison. Watching a dvd in a typical DVD player seemed normal until I watched that same dvd in a blu-ray player. WOW, what a difference but thats just the beginning. Watch a blu-ray disc in a blu-ray player and I feel like I’m right there while their filming. Now I don’t sell blu-ray players for a living but I did just promote a business.
So, I have killed two birds with 1 stone. Since using the Verve twice a day, I feel like the DVD playing in the blu-ray player now. I am starting to get a glimpse of being the blu-ray disc playing in the blu-ray player and that excites me to my core. So why would I not want to share that:) That’s Vemma in a nutshell. DON’T sell share & someone may want to watch the movie with you.
I am a recent VeMMA user. I have been using VeMMA products (VeMMA daily supplement, VERVE, and ParTea) for about a month now. I am like some above I am healthy and not overweight, however, I do have very low iron levels which result in low energy and sluggishness. Since using the product I have gained energy. I do have some differences in stool but nothing major. I hope this product works for others as it has for me. Also, I appreciate your unbiased article!
Lauren, thanks for writing and sharing your experiences.
Great commentary and thorough review.
Tg, thanks!
Thank you for your efforts here. When people say these products help their “energy level” and such, I wonder if this could be due to the “natural caffeine” (guarana?) found in some of the products (Verve, Bold)? Is this something you have reviewed elsewhere on your website? You did not list it in your Vemma review.
Also, the newest Vemma product is touted as containing silica, which is being pitched as something we are missing in our diets. Thoughts? Thanks again!
Terry, “natural caffeine” could be a reference to guarana. Ive seen guarana in energy drinks before. as for silica, that’s a new one. Ive never heard anything about it helping our health and if it does I doubt mos people lack it. Ive seen silica as an ingredient in tarter control toothpaste so its probably a source of it also?
Joe, silica is found in the herb horsetail. You mentioned previously you could not find results on horse tail. It is an herb, one word horsetail. It does contain silica which promotes nail and hair strength. I study herbs and healing and wanted to inform you what horsetail is. As for this product, Vemma, it is not for me. I just bought Viviscal to try I shall see if I get results.
Jo, thanks. I hope Viviscal helps you. In case you missed it Here is my review of Viviscal.
I did read it and was a bit worried my money is wasted but, I will give it a go for thirty days and let you know.
sounds good Jo 🙂

Thank you for posting this review. I was recently approached by a friend about becoming a brand partner for Vemma and over the last couple of days have been doing research. This is the first bit of info I have found that doesn’t sound like company propaganda or hate mail.
Wonderingwulf, you are very welcome and I am glad you were able to find me. I know its hard sometimes given all the other reviews out there.
@wonderingwulf I am in the same exact position. Additionally, I am a health professional student, so I am even more personally invested in researching all I can about this product before recommending it to elderly friends and family whom I care about.
I am so glad that Google turned up this page and great thanks to Joe for his comprehensive and unbiased article. I will certainly be reading all those NIH links and searching up more studies on the components this supplement boasts about.
ScienceQuest, I’m glad you found me also and much success in college too 🙂
I have seen several reviews for this and I do like the unbiased review. I have a few friends trying and haven’t been harassed but seeing the MLM implications bothers me – Have you compared to shakeology or beach body or are they all the same
I am 48 currently 40lbs overweight and on bp and chol meds- I am interested but naturally suspect thanks!
Chris
