Originally published in 2013. Completely rewritten and updated in July 2026. SlimQuick has been sold as a weight-loss supplement for women for many years, but the name now covers several different formulas. The caplets, drink mixes, and keto pills contain different ingredients and caffeine amounts. The company also cites a green tea study that did not test a finished SlimQuick product. Here is what the current labels and research show.
Quick Answer: Does SlimQuick Work for Weight Loss?
SlimQuick might help some people lose a small amount of weight, but the evidence does not prove that the current SlimQuick products produce the large results shown on the company website.
The best-supported ingredients are caffeine and green tea extract. Research suggests they may have a modest effect on body weight, but the results are usually much smaller than the 25- to 35-pound losses featured in SlimQuick’s advertising.
The study cited by SlimQuick tested a specific green tea phytosome taken with a strict low-calorie diet. It did not test the finished SlimQuick formulas sold today. This matters because the current products contain different ingredients, different doses, and in one case, no green tea at all.
SlimQuick also contains a large amount of caffeine. Depending on the version and serving directions, it may cause insomnia, nervousness, rapid heartbeat, nausea, or increased blood pressure.
What Is SlimQuick Pure?
SlimQuick Pure is a line of weight-loss supplements marketed mainly to women. The current company website lists caplets, keto pills, and several flavored drink mixes. It says the products should be used as part of a diet and exercise program.
Depending on the version, SlimQuick contains some combination of:
- Caffeine
- Green tea extract
- Medium-chain triglycerides, or MCTs
- Chaste tree extract
- Chromium
- Lady’s mantle
- Olive leaf
- Cumin
- Wild mint
The formulas are not interchangeable. Research involving one ingredient cannot automatically be used to prove that every SlimQuick product works.
SlimQuick Ingredients Compared
The following table is based on the supplement facts labels supplied for this review. Formulas can change, so compare these details with the label on the product you are considering.
| SlimQuick product | Serving size | Caffeine | Green tea | Other active ingredients | Total proprietary complex |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SlimQuick Pure 11X Extra Strength Caplets | 2 caplets | 166.7 mg | None listed | SQ11X herbal blend containing lady’s mantle, olive leaf, cumin and wild mint; MCT oil powder; chaste tree extract | 402 mg |
| SlimQuick Pure Extra Strength Blue Raspberry Drink Mix | 1 packet | Amount not disclosed | Phytosome green tea standardized to 19% catechins and 13% EGCG | Sunflower phospholipids; MCT oil powder; chaste tree extract | 385 mg |
| SlimQuick Pure Extra Strength Drink Mix, alternate label | 1 packet | Amount not disclosed | KetoGreen green tea standardized to 19% catechins and 13% EGCG | MCT oil powder; sunflower lecithin; chaste tree extract | 385 mg |
| SlimQuick Pure Extra Strength Keto Pills | 3 tablets | 250 mg | KetoGreen green tea standardized to 19% catechins and 13% EGCG | Chromium, MCT oil powder and chaste tree extract | 470 mg |
The caplets provide 166.7 mg of caffeine per serving. The keto pills provide 250 mg.
The drink mixes list caffeine but do not reveal how much they contain. That is a meaningful omission for anyone who is sensitive to stimulants or trying to track total daily caffeine.
The proprietary blends also prevent consumers from knowing the amount of green tea, MCTs, chaste tree or most other ingredients.
Does SlimQuick Have a Clinical Study?
The SlimQuick weight-loss claim
The company website states that overweight women who used SlimQuick Pure’s “key ingredient” with a 1,350-calorie diet lost 25 pounds, compared with eight pounds in women who followed the diet alone. It also states that men using the ingredient with a 1,850-calorie diet lost 35 pounds, compared with 10 pounds from diet alone.
Those numbers come from a 2009 study of a green tea ingredient called GreenSelect Phytosome. The study did not test SlimQuick Pure caplets, keto pills or drink-mix packets.
What the SlimQuick ingredient study found
Researchers recruited 100 adults who were 20% to 40% above their ideal weight. The group included 44 women and 56 men between ages 25 and 60.
They were randomly divided into two groups:
- A reduced-calorie diet alone
- The same diet plus 150 mg of Monoselect Camellia twice per day
Monoselect Camellia contained GreenSelect Phytosome, a green tea extract combined with phospholipids. Men were assigned about 1,850 calories daily, while women were assigned about 1,350 calories.
After 90 days:
- The diet-only group lost an average of about 4.6 kg, or 10 pounds.
- The green-tea-plus-diet group lost an average of about 13.8 kg, or 30 pounds.
- BMI fell 5% in the diet group and 12% in the green tea group.
- Waist reduction for the full treatment group was not statistically significant.
- A significant waist reduction was reported only when the researchers analyzed the men separately.
While this sounds impressive, there are several reasons not to assume the same results will occur with SlimQuick.
Problems With the SlimQuick Study
1. The study did not test SlimQuick
This is the biggest problem.
The researchers tested Monoselect Camellia, a 150 mg tablet containing GreenSelect Phytosome. Participants took it twice daily.
They did not take the current SlimQuick formulas. The study tells us something about that specific green tea preparation when combined with a low-calorie diet. It does not prove that SlimQuick Pure produces the same effect.
2. Some SlimQuick versions do not contain the studied ingredient
The current Supplement Facts label for the caplets does not list green tea at all. It contains caffeine, the SQ11X herbal blend, MCT powder and chaste tree. A study of GreenSelect Phytosome is not proof for a SlimQuick formula that contains no green tea.
The keto pills and drink mixes contain a green tea ingredient, but their Supplement Facts labels use terms such as KetoGreen or Phytosome Green Tea. It is unclear if these names refer to GreenSelect Phytosome.
3. There was no placebo
The control group followed the low-calorie diet but did not receive a placebo pill.
This means the people knew they were taking the weight-loss supplement. The researchers acknowledged that people given a treatment might have followed the diet more carefully. They reported that 90% completed food records and claimed adherence was similar, but self-reported diet records are not the same as a blinded placebo-controlled design.
Adding a placebo would have helped separate the ingredient’s effect from motivation and expectations of weight loss.
4. The reported weight loss was unusually large
The green tea group lost approximately 30 pounds in 13 weeks, which is about 20 pounds more than the diet-only group.
That is much larger than the average effect reported in the broader green tea literature.
A 2020 meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials found that green tea supplements reduced body weight by an average of 1.78 kg, or about 4 pounds. That's much less than the weight loss reported in the GreenSelect Phytosome study used to support the benefits of SlimQuick.
Does Green Tea in SlimQuick Help With Weight Loss?
Green tea contains caffeine and compounds called catechins. The catechin most often studied is epigallocatechin gallate, better known as EGCG.
Research suggests that green tea with caffeine may slightly increase energy use and fat oxidation. However, these effects do not usually translate into dramatic weight loss.
A meta-analysis published in 2024 examined randomized trials involving women with overweight or obesity. Green tea supplementation reduced body weight by an average of 1.23 kg, or about 2.7 pounds. Greater weight reductions appeared in studies lasting at least eight weeks and using at least 1,000 mg of green tea per day.
However, SlimQuick does not disclose its green tea dose, so it is impossible to know whether its formulas provide an amount comparable to these trials.
A review published by the NIH concluded that green tea extract may have only a modest effect on weight.
Can we compare the SlimQuick dose with the studies?
Not very well.
The drink and keto-pill labels state that the green tea extract contains 19% catechins and 13% EGCG, but they do not reveal how many milligrams of green tea are present.
The entire proprietary blends have:
- 385 mg in the drink mix
- 470 mg in the keto pills
Those numbers include caffeine, MCTs, chaste tree, and other ingredients. The actual amounts of green tea and EGCG are unknown.
Does Caffeine in SlimQuick Burn Fat?
Caffeine can temporarily increase alertness, energy expenditure and fat oxidation. It may also reduce appetite in some people.
That does not mean it produces meaningful long-term weight loss. The body develops tolerance to caffeine, which can weaken its stimulant and metabolism effects over time.
The caffeine amounts disclosed on the labels are:
- SlimQuick caplets: 166.7 mg per serving
- SlimQuick keto pills: 250 mg per serving
For comparison, an eight-ounce cup of coffee generally contains about 85 to 100 mg.
Do MCTs in SlimQuick Help With Weight Loss?
Some human research suggests that replacing long-chain dietary fats with MCT oil may produce a small reduction in body weight. In one 16-week trial, overweight adults consumed 18 to 24 grams of MCT oil or olive oil daily as part of a calorie-restricted weight-loss program. The MCT group lost more weight and body fat. However, MCT oil replaced another dietary fat and was combined with weekly weight-loss counseling.
Human studies that I located have generally used about 5 to 24 grams of MCTs per day. SlimQuick appears to provide less than that. Its entire proprietary blend weighs only 385 to 470 mg and includes several ingredients besides MCT powder. The label also says the powder is only 50% MCTs. Even if the whole 470 mg blend were MCT powder, which it is not, it would supply no more than 235 mg of MCTs.
Does Chromium in SlimQuick Keto Pills Help?
The keto pills provide 200 micrograms of chromium per serving.
Chromium is often promoted for blood sugar control, appetite reduction and fat loss, but weight-loss results have generally been small and inconsistent. Chromium is not present in all SlimQuick products.
Does Chaste Tree Help With Weight Loss?
Chaste tree, also called chasteberry or Vitex agnus-castus, is better known for its possible effects on premenstrual symptoms. I found no convincing human evidence that it causes weight loss.
SlimQuick does not disclose how much chaste tree its proprietary blends contain.
What About the SlimQuick SQ11X Herbal Blend?
The SlimQuick caplets contain a blend called SQ11X made from:
- Lady’s mantle leaf
- Olive leaf
- Cumin seed
- Wild mint leaf
SlimQuick does not disclose the amount of each herb. The complete 402 mg complex must also accommodate caffeine, MCT powder and chaste tree.
That appears to leave little room for large doses of the four SQ11X herbs.
Individual studies may exist on some of these plants, but research on an isolated herb does not prove that this combination causes weight loss. I found no published human clinical trial showing that the current SQ11X SlimQuick caplet formula produces meaningful weight loss.
This formula also lacks the green tea ingredient used in the study promoted on the SlimQuick website.
Is SlimQuick Designed for Women?
SlimQuick says its products address “weight loss designed for women.” However, the company’s main study: 56 of the 100 participants were men. Women and men can differ in hormones, body-fat distribution and other factors that affect body weight. However, the study did not establish that SlimQuick works better for women or overcomes specific female barriers to weight loss.
SlimQuick Side Effects
Possible SlimQuick side effects depend on the version, dose, caffeine intake and individual sensitivity.
Caffeine side effects
The most likely problems include:
- Trouble sleeping
- Nervousness
- Shakiness
- Headache
- Nausea
- Rapid heartbeat
- Increased blood pressure
- Anxiety
- Frequent urination
Caffeine’s average half-life is about 6 hours, so taking SlimQuick later in the day may disrupt your sleep at night. The keto pills contain 250 mg per serving. That is a lot.
Green tea extract side effects
Green tea extract may cause:
- Nausea
- Constipation
- Stomach discomfort
- Increased blood pressure
Rare cases of liver injury have also been reported with concentrated green tea extracts, particularly in tablets and capsules.
Have SlimQuick Products Been Linked to Liver Damage?
Rare cases of serious liver injury have been reported in people who were taking SlimQuick products.
The National Institutes of Health LiverTox database states that at least two dozen cases attributed to SlimQuick products have been described in published reports. Symptoms generally appeared within 3 to 12 weeks of starting the supplement. Most people recovered after stopping it, but at least one patient developed acute liver failure and required a liver transplant.
These reports involved older SlimQuick formulas, not necessarily the exact products sold today. SlimQuick has changed its ingredients over the years, and the reported cases involved multi-ingredient supplements whose individual ingredient doses were often unknown.
Green tea extract is considered the most likely cause in many of the reported cases. However, it is not possible to prove that green tea caused every case because the products contained several ingredients. Since the published reports involved older formulas, it is also not known whether the same risk applies to SlimQuick products sold today. The concern is most relevant to current versions that contain concentrated green tea extract.
Who Should Avoid SlimQuick?
Ask a healthcare provider before using SlimQuick if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have heart disease or an abnormal heart rhythm
- Have uncontrolled high blood pressure
- Have liver disease
- Have an anxiety or panic disorder
- Have severe insomnia
- Have a hormone-sensitive condition
- Take prescription medications
- Use other caffeine or stimulant supplements
- Are younger than 18
Is SlimQuick Keto Friendly?
The labels describe several products as keto-friendly, but SlimQuick is not a ketone supplement and does not put the body into ketosis by itself.
The drink mixes contain two or three grams of carbohydrate per packet. That amount may fit into many low-carbohydrate lifestyles, but taking SlimQuick does not replace the need to control total carbohydrate intake.
The keto pills contain MCT powder, but the amount is unknown. The word “keto” should not be mistaken for evidence that the pills increase ketone levels.
SlimQuick Pros and Cons
Possible advantages
- Caffeine may temporarily increase energy and alertness.
- Green tea and caffeine may have a small weight-loss effect.
- Drink packets are convenient.
- Caffeine amounts are disclosed on the caplets and keto pills.
Important drawbacks
- The current SlimQuick supplement formulas have not been shown to cause substantial weight loss in published clinical trials.
- The company study tested a different green tea product.
- Most ingredient amounts are hidden in proprietary blends.
- Drink-mix labels do not disclose the caffeine dose.
- The keto pills contain 250 mg of caffeine per serving.
- Chaste tree is not a proven weight-loss ingredient.
- Concentrated green tea extracts have been linked to rare liver injury.
Does SlimQuick Really Work? My Verdict
SlimQuick may provide energy, and some versions may reduce appetite. Products containing green tea and caffeine might also contribute to a small amount of weight loss.
But the evidence does not show that current SlimQuick products cause the dramatic losses promoted by the clinical trial.
The cited study tested GreenSelect Phytosome with a strict low-calorie diet. It did not test SlimQuick by itself.
The clearest effect many users will notice is probably stimulation from caffeine. Whether that is helpful depends on the person.
Without eating fewer calories, I would not expect SlimQuick by itself to produce major or lasting weight loss.
Frequently Asked Questions About SlimQuick
How much caffeine is in SlimQuick?
It depends on the supplement you take. SlimQuick Pure Extra Strength caplets have 166.7 mg per serving while the keto pills have 250 mg. The drink mixes list caffeine but do not list how much.
Does SlimQuick suppress appetite?
Caffeine may temporarily reduce appetite in some people. However, the Supplement Facts labels do not provide convincing evidence that the other ingredients produce significant appetite-suppressing effects.
Can SlimQuick make you jittery?
It's possible. Nervousness, shaking, anxiety and a rapid heartbeat are possible, especially with the 250 mg keto-pill serving or if SlimQuick were to be combined with coffee, tea, energy drinks or pre-workout supplements. Your sensitivity to caffeine can influence this.
Can you take SlimQuick at night?
SlimQuick may interfere with sleep because it contains caffeine. People who are sensitive to stimulants should avoid taking it late in the day. The company’s directions and the individual product label should also be followed.
Does SlimQuick burn belly fat?
No supplement selectively burns abdominal fat. Weight loss can reduce waist size, but SlimQuick has not been shown to target belly fat.
Is SlimQuick safe for women over 50?
Age alone does not determine safety. Women with heart conditions, high blood pressure, liver disease, medication use or other health issues should speak with a healthcare professional before using it.
Can men use SlimQuick?
The company’s cited green tea study included more men than women. That said, this doesn't prove the SlimQuick formulas work for either men or women.
Is SlimQuick FDA approved?
No. Dietary supplements are not FDA-approved for effectiveness or effectiveness before they are sold. The FDA does regulate supplements but generally does not approve of them before they are sold to the public.

I am an overweight, menopausal woman who has been a little depressed since losing my teaching job of thirty years. Because of this, I have put on an excessive amount of weight. I have just begun taking the slim quick berry drink, and reduced my daily calorie intake. The drink mix seems to fill me up, making me less hungry. I also try to get as much exercise as possible, but it’s hard because I’m home all day now. Am praying and hoping this works for me!
Hi Sharon, so sorry to hear about the loss of your job. Im sure after 30 years of teaching, that is quite a difficult thing. I hope slimquick helps. Keep me posted. Here is something else I’ve written that might help too: http://www.joe-cannon.com/what-weight-loss-supplements-work/
I am starting my dosage tomorrow. I weigh 280. So we gonna see where I will be by next month
Hi Eve, good luck and let me know how it goes. If you are just starting, begin with less than is recommended for the first week, just to see if you have any side effects. I always feel that’s best when trying a new supplement.
You sound just like me! I also weigh 280 pounds and have just started taking the slim quick berry drink. I’m trying to cut down on the amount of calorie intake each day, and get as much exercise as possible.
Slim quick seems to fill me up when I drink the whole 16.9 oz.s, with a low calorie meal.
Also seeing and hoping it works!

I used this product a year after having my first child (12 years ago) and lost 40 lbs in 2 months. I was n a very physically demanding job. I could not have been happier. It really kick started my weight loss. I got the weight off and kept it off for a good decade. I had my second child two years ago, and am just weaning, so I’m starting it again. I hope my second go at this is as successful as the first.
A, thanks for the feedback. Happy it helped you and hope your second go is equally as successful.
First dose was taken at 1pm yesterday, had a bit of a hard time going to sleep, but it wasn’t unpleasant. Woke up with the headache of a lifetime (I am not prone to headaches, so I do believe it was directly related). I do not usually consume caffeine. The headache went away after eating an apple and taking the morning dose, which I decreased from 3 pills to 2. Will see how it goes. It’s not enough to dissuade me from continuing, but it was definitely a side effect I did not experience the first time around.
A. Helmy, for what its worth, I think its best to start supplements that are new to you with the least possible for the first week. This is to reduce side effects. Hopefully you dont see any more headaches like that you had today. Let me know.
I literally just got slim quick and took my first pill today, so we’ll see how it goes. But I’m going to stop immediately if there are any bad symptoms
Mandie, keep me updated on how it goes.
I have been taking slimquick pure Men for a month and about 1800 calories or less per day with very light exercise consisting of mostly walking and while i have not weighed myself I have gone down 2 belt notches so it must be doing something, also drinking green tea and replacing meals with equate weight loss shakes and eating plenty of fruit, slightly elevated mood and require less sleep and have slightly more energy and drive/motivation than before as well.
I am on my first week with Slimquick. I am morbidly obese 300lbs with high bmi. I suffered from fatigue a lot in last decade which I believe has contributed to my weight gain, besides genetics. I wasn’t always fat and feel my eating habits are same as when I was healthy.
I started gaining from 27to 37 now. I have no health issues aside from anxiety and depression.
All this aside, I have to say I am impressed with my first week. I feel appropriate appetite suppression, and more energy to get through the day. I already feel my body change. I feel almost back to my old younger self.
I thank you for your article. It does warn and say start off slowly with the pills , so those that complaining about jitters and headaches etc should start off slow.
It also clearly says be aware of any other caffeine like coffee. I love coffee. So I just didn’t take the two pills. Four days of just taking one pill at breakfast along with protein shake got me through my whole day.
I had no issues with sleep, indeed I slept more due being more active throughout my day. Also being probably premenopausal,( women in my family get early symptoms) I can feel my hormones being better….so much better. I don’t feel anxious, I feel happy. I feel certain pockets of fat in my love handles feeling less fat!. I feel like better this week than I have in a longgg time.
I finaly have energy to go the gym. And really just walking around in general. I don’t feel that fatigue anymore that was prohibiting me from taking stairs. The bloating has diminished. I have always loved drinking water so I make sure to stay hydrated. But you know what, I crave less soda.
Awesome results so far with just one a day. I do have history of migraines but I havent had one yet. So just make sure you account for things is my advice.
Chrissie, thanks for writing and I’m glad things are going well so far for you. I hope you have continued success and do keep me updated on how you are doing.
The research done to explain and review this Slim Quick product is well documented and organized. I also noted that someone mentioned fibromyalgia which is many times mistakenly diagnosed for what is really Ciliac / Gluten intolerance as they have the same symptoms. (I found this out after taking medication for fybromyalgia for over 16 years only to find from an allergy test I was allergic to Wheat products.) Wake-up call! Question your doctors, do your own research!
The bottom line to losing weight is to change your eating habits period.
In the USA we are so spoiled with fast food availability and convenience while we are also, by our own doing, suffering time constraints due to schedule of work, family obligations, and pile up of everyday tasks that we forego to escape the stress in real life for the internet or TV/Video. Believe me I am one as guilty as the many however, after years of suffering this I finally looked in the mirror and said change will happen when I make it happen. It is a VERY PERSONAL commitment to yourself and to your loved ones.
So please before you support these greedy distributors of “Diet”remedies, be honest with yourself and define what you are seeking to do with your health, your body, and in general, your precious life.
I thank Joe Cannon for the hard work and effort to put this information out there for all to see. I support those that ask questions and seek answers. Don’t be satisfied with package labeling. It is your life, and better to keep your health while you have it than have to struggle to regain it which is what brought me to seek opening the Diet Door and close it again. lol Indeed, it is a tough world out there but we are responsible to take care of ourselves and our loved ones.
Ok Soap Box vacated. Please use at your own risk. 🙂
Cindy, you are very welcome. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend 🙂
Hi joe
I started taking the new slim quick pure for men for the past 2 weeks.
I work out, but i could not stop eating and my energy is supper low, is not good as I am the general of SFPAINTBALLKILLERS ARMY. and I need to be supper active. Before I started taking the this pills I was 317lbs, two weeks after I lost 18 lbs my diet was 2500 calories and worked out 4 days a week.
i have the pictures before and after. The only side affect I have, if i take the pill after 4pm is very hard to fall asleep but as long as i take it 7am and then 1pm I am ok. the first day i had belly pain but it went away aftr 2 minutes.
Ill keep yo posted
Sam, thanks for the feedback. My guess is its the stimulants in it that are keeping you awake at night.
This is working for me!! I’ve lost 3.5 lbs. in just the first 3 days that I’ve used this product. Tons more energy & I’m never hungry!!
When I come home from my physically demanding job I’m not exhausted I have energy to spare. I hope this product helps me to get to my weight goal in the time frame that I want.
Lori, I hope it does too. Do keep me posted.
I took this supplement 6 years ago and it seemed to help with weight loss at that time, but now after I had a child (now 2 years old ) I tried to take it again and it gave me a headache and it caused spotting between cycles. I just think that healthy mindful eating and exercise is the best route..pills are to risky!
This is my second day using slimquick pure & I feel a difference in my appetite already , but one of the side effects was I couldn’t fall asleep lastnite . & yesterday after eating dinner I went outside to shoot basketball and I felt very weak . I think I may continue using for a bit more to . Idk
Nia, it makes sense SlimQuick would make it hard for you to fall asleep because of its caffeine. I wouldn’t take it close to bedtime. Feeling weak is odd ,so if you are going to keep taking it, why not start with less for the first week and see what happens. I feel starting any new supplement with less than is recommended for the first week is wise because it can in theory cut back on any side effects you might have. Let me know what happens.
I am a 60 year old woman and I’ve been taking slim quick for about a week I find that after it wears off I’m very hungry and have to eat. I’m eating more and larger meals than I would normally eat. This is very disappointing I am looking for my receipt to return it. Not a good weight loss supplement. I Do Not recommend it at all. What a waste of time and money. I should have researched it better.
Mi, sorry to hear that is happening to you.
I’ve taken the extra strength slim quick for a week now. While staying active and consuming about 850 calories a day. I have about 50 pounds to loose and must say I’m disappointed with the results.
I’ve lost 1 pound, this pill has made me feel extremely sick with nausea, headache and extremely tired and weak. Definitely less appetite, eating small meals but after I do eat I feel even worse. I do not recommend this product at all
Maysen, sorry it didnt work for you. I think 850 calories is not a lot to eat in a day. Can I suggest you try tracking your calories with something like MyFitnessPal.com and see if that helps. Amazon Link.” target=”_blank”>If you have a FitBit, you can use their website to do the same thing.
Here is a link to my personal website where I discuss several things – not all of them supplements – that might help.
Joe – Love the quality of your work. I did find one more clinical trial (again, of GreenSelect Phytosome, not the SlimQuick brew). This one did have a true placebo test product. At end of 24 weeks the controls lost 13 pounds and the treated lost 26 pounds. Not quite as dramatic as the first study. REF: Belcaro G, Ledda A, Hu S, Cesarone MR, Feragalli B, Dugall M. Greenselect phytosome for borderline metabolic syndrome. Evid Based Complement Alternat Med 2013;2013:869061.
When I looked for negative user reviews I found them numerous and vehement in their unhappiness with the product. Often, reporting nausea, vomiting, jitters, insomnia, headaches during and after stopped…..and on and on. I wish there was a requirement to list caffeine content in the Supplement Facts panel. David A. Mark, Ph.D.
David, thanks I appreciate that – and for the study citation also. I hear ya; I wish they would make supplements list caffeine content also.
I have taken this for two weeks ,,funny thing I’m more hungry,,I know it’s weird, had little side effects,,mild headache ,ringing of ears none life threatening ,,,I wanted something to help me stop my cravings…
Leesa, sorry that happened to you. Here is a link to my personal website where I discuss different weight loss products along with other stuff that might help also
http://www.joe-cannon.com/what-weight-loss-supplements-work/
I have tried using SlimQuick on 2 separate occasions.. Both times I’ve experienced similar symptoms as other users… Anxiety, racing heart, nausea, and more annoyingly, insomnia. I will not be taking this diet pill anymore.
I have used SlimQuick for 5 days total. They give me such bad headaches. Although, I get full quicker I start to feel like my heart is racing. I feel more anxious. I do not think I will be using it anymore after reading this review. Thanks so much for this. I thought I finally found the pill(s) that could help me but I see that there’s more bad than good.
Jess sorry that happened to you. Im glad my review was able to help. On my personal website, I list my thoughts on the various types of weight loss supplements with those I think have the most evidence. I also list several other things that might help too. here is the link: http://www.joe-cannon.com/what-weight-loss-supplements-work/
I have been taking slim quick for almost 2 weeks. I can honestly say I have tons more energy, I sleep better and im full faster & don’t get cravings.
I plan to keep using it.
Holly, very glad to hear that.
I’m new to slim quick I just purchased it and so far have only completed 1 day of it. Do you recommend it or not ? I’ve heard some really great reviews but after reading some of the previous comments I’m quite skeptical.
Kia, I really try to stay away from recommending products. I would say look at the comments here and elsewhere and read over my review again.
Several years ago (6 ) i took a otc diet pill (can’t remember the name but still being sold) & had a stroke. Terrified to use any diet pills but I need help with my wt. Got Abidexin-is it okay for me to use?
Oh Mona, I am so sorry to hear that happened to you!
Here is my Apidexin review
On my personal site, Ive listed 13 different things that might help you lose weight. Id say take a look at which ones look like they might help and try them one at a time. Here is the link:
http://www.joe-cannon.com/what-weight-loss-supplements-work/
Please check your research. There have been a few articles that link this product to drug induced hepatitis and even a couple of cases of liver failure. Other reviews even have people list the symptoms that they had and they are liver related.
Becca, thanks for the update. I will look deeper into this. Again, sorry that happened to you.
After taking slim quick in 2007 for just 2 weeks it was certainly giving me tons of energy. I felt like people describe adderol (the ADHD drug) users… going from one task to another endlessly full of focus. I began having heart palpitations and panic attacks.
I had NEVER had panic attacks until after using slim quick and they continued for several months. I will never take a “diet pill” again. At the time I was 24 years old and a newly wed and I regret wasting so much of myself dealing with panic attacks.
