Update 8/9/20. “Have you tried that crazy wrap thing?” is the slogan I kept seeing online when I started looking into the company called “It Works!” This is because It Works! started out as a company that sold toning wraps that were said to make people skinnier. Since then, the company has branched out and now sells all kinds of different supplements. In this review, I want to look at the It Works Advanced Formula Fat Fighter (with “carb inhibitors”) and see if it really burns fat or not. I also want to take a look at It Works! the company too, in case you were as curious as I was. Hopefully, by the end of this review, you will have more information to help you do your own research, and have a better idea if the It Works Fat Fighter is right for you.
Who Makes It Works!
The website, MyItWorks.com was first registered in 2002 by a company called It Works Marketing. Over the years the address for the company has changed. This may reflect the company moving to larger headquarters.

It Works Better Business Bureau Rating
The BBB rating for It Works is “C+.” When I checked the BBB file, they had a consumer alert for It Works Marketing which stated that:
- “BBB has received a pattern of complaints from consumers alleging that after trying to cancel with the business, they continue to receive additional products.
- Consumers also state that they have found additional charges being taken that the business has not informed them would be occurring.
- Complaints also allege that the business continues to bill after cancellation, and consumers are not informed that there is a $50.00 cancellation fee.”
In response to the BBB, It Works Global stated:
- “The underlying cause of the majority of our complaints is the improper enrollment of Loyal Customers by Independent Distributors.
- The business indicated that the majority of complaints are received from Loyal Customers directly enrolled by a Distributor who did not adequately disclose or explain the auto shipment commitment or Membership Fee associated with becoming an It Works! Loyal Customer.
- With regard to billing issues, the business indicated that refunds processed on the same day as an original charge are considered voided transactions, and the pending charge drops off the customer's credit card statement.”
These are just highlights. See the BBB file” for updates and more information
In an article in Forbes Magazine it appears It Works Global started out as a company marketing toning body wraps. The It Works wraps might still be the company’s biggest seller, because when I searched for their website —MyItWorks.com—the tagline for the site was “Have You Tried That Crazy Wrap Thing?”
Dr. Bill Sukala's website has a review of It Works Wraps
It Works Fat Fighter Research
When I searched the National Library of Medicine (which lists millions of studies from around the globe) for “It Works Fat Fighter,” no studies showed up. Likewise, doing a Google search for the product turned up no studies. In addition, MyItWorks.com website shows no research.
Therefore, I'm forced to concluded at this time that the product lacks clinical evidence that it works as claimed. If the Fat Fighter works, it’s because of the research on some of its ingredients. Let’s take a look at the research on those ingredients now and see what we can discover.
Fat Fighter Ingredients
According to the product label, a bottle contains 60 tablets. Two tablets contain the following ingredients:
% DV | |
Chromium dinicotinate glycinate 150 mcg | 130% |
NeOpuntia (cactus leaf) 500 mg | N/A |
Proprietary blend of the following 510 mg | N/A |
1. Garcinia cambogia fruit extract | N/A |
2. Green tea leaf extract | N/A |
3. Phaseolamin | N/A |
4. Bitter melon fruit | N/A |
5. Banaba leaf extract | N/A |
6. Gymnema Sylvestre leaf extract | N/A |
7. Wheat amalyase inhibitor | N/A |
8. Vanadium | N/A |
N/A = there is no daily value
Now that we know the ingredients, let's see if we can find any research on the ingredients to see if it really does fight fat.
It Works Fat Fighter Ingredients
Chromium
Chromium has been popular in weight loss supplements for decades which is ironic given that the majority of human studies I've seen show this is not the case. Here is my review of chromium. Notice how many studies show it doesn't help weight loss.
One thing chromium might do is reduce blood sugar levels. Keep this in mind as you review the ingredients below.
NeOpuntia
The name NeOpuntia (neo-pUnch-a) is a trademarked name for the prickly pear cactus called Opuntia ficus-indica. The cactus is said to bind fat, preventing it from being absorbed.
As we absorb less fat, we absorb fewer calories. Theoretically, this might lead to weight loss. This is why some websites call NeOpuntia a “fat-fighting cactus.” NeOpuntia is a product of the French company, Bio Serae Labs SAS.
Two tablets of the It Works Fat Fighter contain 500 mg of NeOpuntia.
In one company-sponsored study 68 women (20–55 years of age) with metabolic syndrome (basically “pre-diabetes”) were given either a placebo or 4.8 grams NeOpuntia 3 times a day with meals. People ate a “well-balanced diet” with “controlled lipid input” (in other words, they ate a low-fat diet). Forty-nine women completed the study.
Results: The women taking NeOpuntia showed significant improvements in pre-diabetes symptoms, such that 39% of the women were no longer diagnosed with metabolic syndrome. These are very impressive results – but there are two things you need to know:
1. This study makes no mention of weight loss.
2. The people in this study used 4.8 grams of NeOpuntia per day. This is FAR MORE than the 500 mg (1/2 gram) that 2 tablets of It Works Fat Fighter provides. Even taking 6 tables per meal, only provides 3000 mg (3 grams). Each person in the study used 1.6 grams of NeOpuntia with each meal, for a total of 4.8 grams per day.
Opuntia ficus-indica is the main ingredient in the popular health drink called TriVita Nopalea Juice, which you may have seen advertised on TV. See that review for additional information.
See my review of Calorase/FBCX, for more information.
Garcinia Cambogia
There are several weight loss studies involving Garcinia cambogia. Its active ingredient is said to be hydroxycitric acid (HCA). The way Garcinia cambogia is said to work is by preventing carbohydrates from being turned into fat.
In my review of Garcinia cambogia, I noted the research showing it worked (helped weight loss) used at least 1,667 mg per day (or 1,000 mg of HCA per day). This is important because the entire proprietary blend in It Works Fat Fighter (2 tablets) only contains a total of 510 mg.
Garcinia cambogia is the first ingredient listed, so it likely comprises most of this blend. But, I see no evidence this amount works. If you read my Garcinia cambogia review, you’ll see studies showing that 500 mg did not work. Based on what I’ve found, I don’t think the Fat Fighter has enough.
Garcinia is controversial. Over the years several reports link it to liver problems.
See the garcinia Cambogia review
Green Tea Leaf Extract
While they don't tell us what extract they are using, the label says that this extract has 20% caffeine. To me that says caffeine might be the active ingredient in this extract—but how much caffeine does the product contain? They don’t tell us.
Caffeine is one of the most most popular ingredients in weight loss supplements. It’s an ingredient in these supplements which you may have heard of before:
Caffeine is so popular that I even once reviewed a caffeine shampoo! That said, I’m not convinced that caffeine―by itself―helps people lose weight. That's because the best weight loss research usually combines caffeine with ephedra, another stimulant. Ephedra is banned from supplements in the US because it was linked to several deaths.
Phaseolamin
As the label indicates, this refers to an extract from white kidney beans. Another name for this ingredient is Phaseolus vulgaris. On some websites, this stuff is also called Bean Pod extract. Another name is Fabenol—as it was called in the supplement Lean and Fab.
Phaseolamin is said to inhibit a carbohydrate-digesting enzyme called alpha-amylase. If you block this enzyme, in theory, carbs would not be digested as well. If we can’t digest carbs, we can’t absorb their calories. In this way, phaseolamin is supposed to promote weight loss.
This is why phaseolamin is called a “carb blocker.” There is some weight loss research on phaseolamin. Let's take a look at some of that research.
Study 1
In one study researchers gave 50 people either a 1,500 mg placebo or a phaseolamin supplement called “Phase 2” twice daily with meals (3,000 mg total) for 8 weeks.
Those receiving the Phase 2 supplement lost an average of 3.7 lbs compared to the placebo group which lost an average of 1.65 pounds. One problem -and it's a big one – was only 27 people completed this study. That’s almost a 50% drop out rate. Why did so many people not complete the study?
Additionally, researchers gave people 3,000 mg of the Phase 2 supplement. We are not told how much is in the Fat Fighter – just that the entire proprietary blend equals 510 mg per 2 tablets. if using 6 tables per day it would be around 6 X510 = about 1530 mg.
Phase 2 is a proprietary phaseolamin supplement that is in many products.
Study 2
In this study, 12 people who ate a normal meal were randomly given either a placebo or Phaseolus vulgaris extract. Those taking the Phaseolus vulgaris extract had
- reduced appetite
- lower ghrelin levels (a hunger hormone)
- reduced insulin levels
- lower blood sugar
This was a very small study and only lasted 3 hours, but it’s interesting and worthy of a follow-up study.
Study 3
In this investigation 60 slightly overweight men and women were randomly given either a placebo or 445 mg of a Phaseolus vulgaris extract for 30 days before their main carbohydrate-containing meal of the day.
Those who received the Phaseolus vulgaris extract showed a significantly greater reduction in body weight, fat mass, BMI, and other parameters, compared to placebo. The product used in this study was also called Phase 2.
There are also many mouse studies on this ingredient. Since we are not mice, I won't discuss them.
Bitter Melon Fruit
It’s called bitter melon because it has a bitter taste when eaten. Other names include Momordica charantia bitter gourd and salsamino
There are over 200 different compounds in this plant.
The majority of that research appears to be limited to rats and mice. Much of the research is deals with how bitter melon might help diabetes and blood sugar issues by way of its ability to increase insulin levels.
In one study, researchers treated human fat cells with bitter melon juice. They noted that the juice enhanced fat burning in those fat cells. While intriguing, this was still just a test tube study. The real test would be to give it to people.
See the review of Apple Cider Vinegar. You may be surprised by that research.
Gymnema Sylvestre
The leaves of the Gymnema plant appear to have a blood-sugar-lowering effect, and it might also reduce carb absorption. The majority of the weight loss research, however, involved mice and rats. One human study might provide some insights on why some of the ingredients in the Fat Fighter were chosen.
In this 8 week study, 60 overweight people were randomly given either:
- Placebo
- Garcinia cambogia (4667 mg)
- Garcinia cambogia (4994 mg) + niacin-bounded chromium (4mg) + Gymnema sylvestre (400 mg)
Those getting the combination of all 3 ingredients showed more weight loss than those taking the placebo. But, the amounts of the ingredients used in this study are far MORE than are contained in It Works Fat Fighter.
For more insights see these other reviews:
- Healthe Trim (for weight loss)
- Glucotor V2 (for diabetes)
Wheat Amylase Inhibitor
Amylase is an enzyme that helps us absorb carbs. So if you inhibit this enzyme, it might reduce our ability to absorb carbs. This ingredient just sounds to me like a carb/starch blocker derived from wheat. But, just calling it “wheat amylase inhibitor” is vague, because without knowing the exact name of the inhibitor compound, I can’t say much about it, other than it probably works similarly to phaseolamin, discussed above.
Vanadium
Another name for this compound is vanadyl sulfate. Vanadium appears to have an insulin-like effect and might reduce blood sugar.
Vanadium does seem to lower blood sugar in people with type II diabetes. Vanadium is listed last in the ingredients of the proprietary blend. This means it is likely to present in the least amount. This is good because vanadium might become toxic at high levels. The amount, beyond which side effects might be noticed, is currently thought to be 1.8 mg per day for adults.
For more on vanadium see these reviews:
Blood-Sugar Lowering Ingredients
Here are the ingredients in It Works Fat Fighter that might reduce blood sugar levels:
- Chromium
- Gymnema Sylvestre
- Vanadium
Ingredients That Block Carbs
Here are the ingredients in It Works Fat Fighter that are thought to be carb blockers:
- Garcinia cambogia
- Phaseolamin
- Gymnema Sylvestre (maybe)
- Wheat amylase inhibitor
Note. While I call them carb blockers, the It Works company calls them “carb inhibitors.” these phrases mean the same thing.
Ingredients That Block Fat
Here are the ingredients in It Works Fat Fighter that might block fat:
- NeOpuntia
So, there are more carb blockers in Fat Fighter than fat blockers. Based on this, a better name might be “It Works Carb Fighter.”
Ingredients with the Most Evidence
Based on the studies I could locate, here are the ingredients in It Works Fat Fighter that I feel have the most evidence and are likely the main active ingredients in this product:
I highlight this ingredient because:
1. There are more weight loss studies on this ingredient than any of the others in the product.
2. There aren't as many negative side effects for this as say garcinia Cambogia
It Works Fat Fighter Side Effects
Here are a few things to think about when taking It Works Fat Fighters. This list is not complete:
- Start with less than suggested for the first week to see how you respond
- Stop all supplements at least 2 weeks before surgery
- Pregnant and breastfeeding moms should speak to their doctor first
- If you take any medications, speak to your doctor and pharmacist
- Bitter melon might reduce blood sugar, which may be an issue for some people who take diabetes medications.
- Gymnema Sylvestre might lower blood sugar levels.
- Vanadium might lower blood sugar. At high doses, vanadium might also cause a color change on the tongue (a green color). The amount which might cause side effects is controversial, due to the lack of good research on vanadium.
In the comments below, some have said they developed headaches, fainting and one person mentioned seizures.
If you had any side effects—positive or negative—leave a comment below so others (including me) can benefit from your experiences.
Does The Fat Fighter Work?
It's hard to say at this time if the product helps people lose weight or blocks fat. No clinical studies on the supplement could be located. I admit I could be wrong and the supplement might do exactly what its name says it will do. But, for me, I'd like to see a few studies first to see if it really works.
Melissa Jackson says
I like the It Works products I have used so far! I have been on 12 different meds from the doctor and have suffered from allergic reactions to sickness. I stopped my meds and started with It Works. I have been using Confianza for anxiety, depression and when I’m stressed. I use Relief and it has worked wonders to where I don’t have to get epidural or cortisone shots anymore and I’m able to sit up longer without muscle cramps.
I also take thermofit and the berry greens every day and I feel so energized. I just started the wraps and lost 2 inches of my stomach. I also just started the fat fighters. My distributor is wonderful at explaining and guiding me along with these products. I eat healthier and drink lots of water. I can’t do a lot of exercise because I’m limited due to health problems .
The company and the distributors explain everything clearly to me and my doctor agrees with the product cause she’s seen how it has worked for me versus prescribed meds. I’m also using hair skin and nails. I stand by these products and can’t wait to see my progress from the system!!
Tyler says
Excess calories are stored as fat. Period.
There’s no pill or product that will change that.
Alex says
First fat figthers are not a weight lost supplement…. They are A PART of a process for the weight lost. Second, what they do is MANTAIN your weight, you take FF when you get a big carb meal or holiday seasons (like thanksgiving, christmass, etc) none of the products are magical, they are there to help you balance your life and become healthier. Third, If you have a medical situation going, like diabetes or thyroid, you should let your distributor know, so she can guide you properly or talk to your doctor…
Usually people who doesn’t read the instructions properly or are not guide properly by their providor are the ones who have ‘issues’ with the products…
Fourth. I wouldn’t follow any review of it works on amazon, ebay, etc. Because usually are people who stocks themselves with products sell expire products (which of course won’t work) you just get good products from itworks distributors themselves (their adress should be something like xxxx.myitworks.com) it works doesn’t give you products to stock yourself… They are send directly to your home address when you are a loyal customer…
And for last that post of the 50 dollars fee is if you sign up as a loyal costumer for 3 months (which means order 1 product for 3 months, you can chage every month, no minimum cost) and if you break that let’s say just stayed a month from 3 you get charge the membership fee which is 50…
Really this “review” have not the information straight :/
Joe says
Alex, I respect your opinions on this as an it works distributor, but you didn’t tell what specific information I was incorrect on. You yourself said that the “fat fighter” is best used when eating a high carb meal – so why don’t they call it “carb fighter” instead? Regardless, I wish you all the best and hope your business continues to work well for you.
Lala says
Joe u are basing ur reviews through products sold on amazin. The it Works products in Amazon are expired so the product will bot do what its supposed to do if expired. Why dont u go to the it works website. Onthe site u will find all. The ingredients and the amounts.
U really should base ur reviews off products purchased through their own company not on a website where u find them on sale because they ate old. Get the info from the maker not people who choose to buy at a discounted rate snd don’t care if what they put in their bodies is old or not expired. Anyway thank you.
Joe says
Hi Lala, I did not base my review on a label I saw on Amazon. I used a product information sheet I obtained from the It works web site.
T says
You should ALWAYS read reviews of products from all sources other than the products company because that company WILL ALWAYS make their product sound the best. While this is a decent review it doesn’t touch the dangers of all this crap together and what it does to your body.
if you want to lose weight and get in shape, eat right and exercise and leave the b.s. ‘health’ products alone.
Becca says
I have hypothyroidism. Are fighters an it works products not safe for me?
I know the Thermofit isn’t but are any of the other products?
Joe says
Hi Becca, I’m not aware of any interaction with hypothyroidsm but I’m honestly not sure either way. Why don’t you show the ingredients to your pharmacist and get their impute. As you know its best not to eat or drink anything for 1-2 hours after you take your thyroid medications. I think thats also wise to do if you take the fat fighter also.
Melissa says
I just want to say that I drank the drink that It works sells. I thinks they call it greens??? Anyway, 40 mins later I was vomiting and I work in nursing and of course I was at work.?
I don’t really believe these wraps work or any of the products. Plus I have yet to hear any of the hundreds of doctors that I work around say…. Yes!!!! It is awesome try it!!!
It Was my boss who gave me the drink so I didn’t wanna say no. I had a patient also who came in for dehydration and it turns out it was the wraps that were doing it. The patient ended up only getting a huge bill!
Kenny says
First of all, when you use the wraps your supposed to drink 2 bottles of water, so thats a crock, how could you even prove she was dehydrated from that and she wasn’t probably drinking enough water to begin with….second, most doctors won’t recommend anything thats not big pharma drugs cause they can’t make money. And finally, not everyone is going to like the taste. That’s why we have it works parties for you could try the products……plz lady
Donna Davis says
I am borderline diabetic and used to take medicine for it. However, that medicine caused other issues and I have had to stop taking the medication. Today while on a road trip after a carb heavy meal, I decided to take fat fighters. Within 2 hours of taking them I was feeling very ill. Very lathargic, tingling in my face just very unstable.
I stopped for a break and got something to drink and since I have recently stopped taking diabetic meds, I decided to check to see if my sugar was high. Lo and behold it was extremely low. I think the FF is the only reason for it to have dropped as low as it did. Luckily I have only take the FF on a few occasions. I will not be taking any more….
Joe says
Hi Donna, sorry that happened to you. Thank you for sharing.
Jen says
Hi Donna, I’m sorry they made you so sick. But it kinda seems to back up the claim that they inhibit carb absorbtion. So perhaps they do what the company claims? Gardenia Cambogia is said to keep carbs from turning to sugar and sugar into fat. So perhaps that’s what happened? If so, maybe the company needs to add a disclaimer for people who are diabetic/pre-diabetic.
Jen
Shawn says
Couldn’t you get the same results by changing your diet and exercise and not spending the money on overpriced product? The itworks seems more like a pyramid scheme to me. Focusing on gaining people more than selling product.
Kenny says
Why would it be a pyramid scheme? Is GNC or any vitamin store a scheme…I tell you what, it has helped lowered my cholesterol and went from 190 to 184, and yes you need to exercise, swimming and walking for me since I’m injured from the neck and back… I can’t run 5/10 miles like I used to when I wasn’t. Taking bipolar anxiety and depression meds doesn’t help much when it comes to going to the bathroom to poop…some of the it works products do help me with this issue…
And this is because I’m taking these prescription drugs that have ingredients I can’t even pronounce with side effects that force you to take them till you die cause you could have seizures like I’ve had and or a heart attack. So if you have any type if diagnosis, mental or physical and it doesn’t work it’s probably because of your diagnosis so don’t take them, doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else….
DT says
GNC or any vitamin store doesn’t require it’s employees to buy their products.
It works is one of the worst out there.
If you have to buy product to resell it at a higher price you are in a pyramid scam.
The worst part is dried herb and/or extract usually contains little or no enthogenic effect of the plant or herb it is when it’s in its natural state.
The words “all natural” is a legal marketing term not a health term as defined by the FDA…all these things in this products have been made in a lab or extracted in a lab to be condensed into packed powered to be put in a pill
Kenny says
First off we don’t buy our products, clients buy them online, same price for everyone….Second in order to make a natural product in pill form it would go thru a similar process as what you mentioned. Same goes for big pharma companies. All pills need to be compressed, the big difference is that you can’t even begin to understand what pharma pills are chemically made from unless you do some serious research let alone try to pronounce them…
Kenny says
Keep believing in the FDA by the way…A federal agency that has prevented the natural healing of cancer in order to push pharma drugs and chemo and have people/families suffer thru unessary harm…
Jen says
Amen Kenny! Thank you! I was about to say the same thing!
Not Kenny says
Actually, you do buy your products, else these girls on Facebook wouldn’t be hawking it all the time asking their friends to buy such and such to “join her team”.
CeCe Smith says
First of all the product description found easily on the It Works site for Advanced Formula Fat Fighters is as follows –
‘Have a sweet tooth? A carb craving? It’s okay to indulge every once in a while when you have Advanced Formula Fat Fighter with Carb Inhibitors!
Simply take 1-2 Fat Fighters up to an hour after eating, and it **will absorb some of the fat and carbohydrates from your food so that your body doesn’t**. Powered by NeOpuntia™ (a naturally based ingredient made from the “prickly pear” cactus) and the It Works! proprietary blend, Advanced Formula Fat Fighter delivers dynamic, clinically tested results for both men and women.
-Blocks some of the fat & carbs from meals
-Helps balance healthy blood glucose level and reduce cravings
-Designed to be taken up to an hour after meals
-Cactus-based formula
-Does not contain shellfish
Directions: Adults take 2 tablets during or up to 60 minutes after each large meal.’
Nowhere does it mention that it is for weight loss, burning fat, or any of the other disingenuous, and in some cases obviously completely made up descriptions found in this ‘review’. In fact it appears that very little real research was actually done to determine what this product does if locating an actual clear and concise description from It Works was found in less than 30 seconds.
This one was way off.
Joe says
Hi CeCe, I understand that as an It Works distributor you may not agree with me but come on, “fat fighter” is in the name of the product! The phrase fat fighter implies weight loss and fat burning, to me. “Blocks some fat and carbs in meals” also implies weight loss because if you block the calories in fat and carbs, what happens – weight loss of course!
You say I provided “very little clinical research.” Is there any clinical research on the Fat Fighter itself? If yes, just let me know and I’ll be happy to update my review.
Jen says
Actually, it’s meant to help PREVENT weight gain when you “SLIP”. So say you’re on a diet that’s working great for you, then Thanksgiving comes around and you blew your diet. THAT’S when you’re supposed to take Fat Fighters. It even says it in the descriptions I’ve read. “Fat Fighters” as in it helps prevent what you ALREADY ATE from turning INTO fat. Not burn the fat that you already have. People just need to read the description first so they don’t misinterpret the title. ?
Joe says
Hi Jen, thanks for the clarification 🙂
Rebecca Nemitz-Walters says
The Thermofit made me really sleepy too! It was like I had taken a sleeping pill. I’ve found that if I take it only occasionally after a high carb/fat meal and only take one pill I can tolerate it.
Carmen says
Hi Brenda, it’s best if you eat natural veggies instead of this product. This product is poisonous. If you are on Zoloft, don’t mix other products. Talk to your physician or pharmacist. Don’t take advice from non educated distributors. And if you are trying to lose weight, go all natural. You will feel much better from the benefits that food can provide to you. Best of luck!
Kenny says
Stop the exaggeration. I’m on bipolar and take xanax seroquel and citalopram, and also take about 3 it works products and nothing is wrong with me….I also take the greens cause I’m allergic to fruits and vegetables and work just fine…
John says
No you’re not, no you don’t, and no you aren’t again.
One cannot possibly be allergic to ALL fruits and vegetables. You likely have some stake in this company’s products. I’m willing to bet you sell them.
Kenny says
Actually genius, when I turned 20 and joined the Air Force thats when I found out I was allergic to all fruits and veggies. It probably had something to do with the shots they gave me during meps. I wasn’t allergic to anything prior to that age. My throat would close up, get hives and throw up. Now I’m 47 years old, and this year is when I found out that I’m gradually able to eat certain fruits and vegetables, just a handful… I have no idea if it had to do with the green stuff or not, but I’d rather put my money on “it works” than a GI shot or the pesticides they spray on our food….So yes Mr science wiz it’s possible to be allergic to something whatever it may be…
Katie says
You are most likely allergic to a pesticide, not actually the fruit or vegetable itself. Which is very unlikely. Buying organic might solve that?
Christa says
Sounded like you needed an extra Xanax this day, a lot of your responses to people’s post sound very angry, maybe you should try not to take things so personally.
Barbara West says
Why do you say it is poisonous?!
Destiny Rodwell says
I am a distributor.
You NEED TO ASK YOUR DOCTOR IF THESE INGREDIENTS ARE OKAY. YOU NEED TO FIND OUT IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERGY BEFORE TAKING THEM.
YOU NEED AT LEAST 30MIN OF EXERCISE DAILY. THESE ARE NOT SIT AROUND AND HOPE YOU LOSE WEIGHT PRODUCTS. THESE ARE TO HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT WITH YOUR OWN GOOD DIET AND EXERCISE.
THERE ARE NO MAGIC OVERNIGHT RESULTS
Upset Aunt says
Someone should tell that to my niece then she started selling this on Monday and she is posting stuff all over the place that all you need are these products and nothing else. She is also copying her Upline’s posts as her own which she doesn’t know causes her to lose credibility. Posts no before or after photos of herself as well. She is just doing what her upline is telling her to do and more than likely will fall flat on her face.
Jen says
Sounds like she doesn’t have a very good team. My up lines would get on me if I staked any of those claims. Yes, you Niece needs to be more upfront and not give faulse advice to gain customers. I would love to have a hundred customers under me, but it’s far more important to me that they are SATISFIED with what the purchase. I would never tell anyone that you could sit around eating cheeseburgers and watching TV and these product will do the rest. That’s bad marketing. Hopefully she will learn soon.
ajoifuljournei says
I am an it works distributor as well as a consumer of the products and I can say my health has taken a significant turn for the better. I am more energized, alert and focused. Not to mention on my way to great weight loss. Just thought I’d add my thoughts.
Joe says
Hi ajoifuljournei, thanks for sharing. Really glad its been helping you.

I broke out in a horrible rash. At first a spot on my back, then elbow, other shoulder, both wrists and shin. It was not spreading, just popping up in random places. I scratched until I bled an kept scratching. It’s horrible. I’ve been taking Greens for a month (don’t think that was the problem). When I added the colon cleans and fat blocker is when I broke out.
Theresa says
lookup DR Morse he discusses something on all the crap coming out from your cells when doing a cleanse and that this is why we get a runny nose and feel sick. He recommends drinking plenty of H2O to help flush it out.
Brenda Wilson says
Can It works green interfere with zoloft or linesta?
Joe says
Hi Brenda, that I could not tell you. Why dont you show the ingredients to your pharmacist and see what she/he thinks.
In case you missed it, here is my review of It Works Greens.

Hi Brenda, I’m an It Wirks distributor and I’m on Zoloft. I take the greens everyday and have had no side effects or changes to this medication. If anything I feel 10 times better.
Tonya says
Brenda are you a doctor?
Tracey says
Of course she isn’t. Why in the world would we believe these people who work for this company. Talk to your Dr!! Eat sensibly and exercise!! If it really WORKED everyone would be using it.
Katie says
Your review is not that of a qualified professional. Always check with a pharmacist before starting anything with your prescriptions
Kenny says
Hi Brenda. I take xanax, citalopram and seroquel. The seroquel is what made me gain 20 or so pounds, because when anyone takes that meds it makes you gain extra weight by causing hunger. I also take it works thermo fit greens and some other I can’t remember at the moment. It’s helped me not having belly aches by eating too much junk at night, yet I also for over a month stopped food binging and remain taking the products since I’m allergic to lots of fruits and vegetables. It does not interfere with my meds, but always consult your doctor…
Jan Stuckwish says
What if I am taking heart medication? Can I use it works?
Joe says
Hi Jan, speak to your doctor and pharmacist first. Show them the ingredients and let them decide if its right for you.
Kenny says
I agree with Joe about checking with your doc first. See my answer comment I made to Brenda

Hi Jan as a distributor of it works we strongly recommend that you always check with your doctor. If you have talked to a distributor about the products have them give you a fact sheet about the products that you would like to use so that your doctor can look over them. I have some customers who took them and got them approved by their doctors. But everyone is different. It’s always better to make sure with them. I myself have used some of the products for the past 4 years or so and haven’t had an issue with them. The company itself recommends that you drink water and maintain a healthy diet and exercise. The fat fighters have worked on my customers who are taken them.

I’ve been using Thermofit and I have seen a major change in my snacking. I’m Vegan, however sometimes I snack way too much, I’ve felt better and energized. I take in the morning with breakfast and at lunch. I’m only taking it 2 times a day. I’ve only used for less than a month, we all know it takes your body at least 30 days if not longer to adjust to something new.
Heather Fox says
I have also found that when I take the thermofit, I get sleepy 🙁
Ken DeJesus says
Ive been taking the thermo fit and fat fighters for.three months now. If you people are expecting to magically loose weight with no exercise your dreaming. I exercise almost daily. Due to a jefferson and lower back fracture I can’t do all the activities I used to do. I also used bipolar meds seroquel which helps you gain 20 to 30 pounds hurts my weight.
All you want to do is eat. So since taking the it works products it’s helped be maintain a more likable weight and i don’t get the stomach aches the next day when eating junk at night. I stopped eating junk, more fruits now, and the products helpe go to the bathroom regularly…
It’s all about living a healthy life style. Natural products are always put down because they want you to continue taking pills generated by the pharmaceutical companies. The pharmaceutical companies are what hurting us, I know I can’t get of them without going thru serious seizures etc…
heather fiehl says
Thank you for your positive response! Pharmacies make way too much money on us and they do not support the natural supplements if it does not include them! The It Works products work so well as long as you are eating a healthy diet and exercising. That is the core of a healthy life and then we can add boosters or help. Thank you

Propylene
Glycol,
didn’t realize this was a natural ingredient…
isn’t this in dog treats that was making the dogs ill ???
MH says
I currently signed up a distributor and not happy with the fat fighters or Thermofit. These products made me very ill. Also the hair skin & nails, greens. So the side effects out way the benefits for me.
I cannot promote a product that doesn’t work for me. So with that said, I will probably not continue with this company.
Rebecca Nemitz-Walters says
The Thermofit makes me feel like I took a sleeping pill. What does it do to you?
heather fiehl says
Hello… May I ask how you are taking the thermofit and when? You should not be experiencing sleepiness! I hope to answer and help you with your qustions.
Barbara West says
Just started taking it. When is the best time to take it?
Joe says
Barbara, since its predominately a carb blocker, I’d take it with meals that contain carbs.
Rebecca Nemitz-Walters says
I mix mine with orange juice. I’ve also used Gatorade and lemonade. That way it isn’t so awful.
