Updated 10/11/24. Let’s talk about homeopathic HCG also referred to as HCG drops. These are homeopathic supplements that are used for weight loss. HCG stands for human chorionic gonadotrophin, a hormone made when when a woman is pregnant. The original HCG diet has been around for several decades. The HCG program that uses HCG drops is a relative newcomer to the weight loss arena but is extremely popular in some circles. Basically, these products are said to contain diluted amounts of the hormone that are taken under the tongue with an eye dropper. Do HCG diet supplements work? Do they have any side effects? Let's look at the science and try to make sense of all this. Also, see the review on HCG injections for more information.
1 How The HCG Diet Works
The HCG diet works almost the same as the original version used by Dr. Albert Simeons. It consists of the following:
- Taking HCG and
- Eating only 500 calories per day
The only difference is that Doctor Simeons recommended injections of the HCG hormone. Homeopathic HCG supplements you find in the store are not meant to be injected. Rather, you place them under your tongue to absorb them.
According to those who sell HCG supplements, the hormone reduces appetite and helps you lose weight while helping you maintain your muscle mass. However, I could not locate any proof that people taking sublingual HCG maintain muscle while they lose weight.
Let me be clear: the HCG diet WILL cause weight loss. But, the weight people lose on this diet is NOT because of the hormone. Rather, people lose weight with the HCG diet because they eat 500 calories per day. Watch this video to see the research.
HCG Diet Review
Many websites that sell homeopathic HCG drops speak about the work of Dr. Simeons, but they usually don’t tell you that Dr Simeons used
HCG injections. Doctor Simeons did not use HCG drops.
Because homeopathic HCG may contain small amounts of alcohol, recovering alcoholics should not use these products if they believe it may interfere with their recovery.
Remember. The people who sell homeopathic HCG drops love to tell you about Dr. Simeon's weight loss protocol and his HCG research. BUT Dr. Simeons did not use homeopathic HCG drops.
Let's discuss three reasons why Dr. Simeons did not use homeopathic HCG, and by doing so, you will know why this HCG program cannot possibly work.
2 What Are Homeopathic HCG Drops?
Homeopathy means taking a substance (in this case, HCG) and diluting it over and over with water. This dilution continues until the final dilution contains none (zero) of the original substance.
This means that homeopathic HCG has no HCG. Rather, HCG drops are just water (sometimes other things like vitamin B12 are added but this other stuff usually has no weight loss effect). Here is my review of vitamin B12 and weight loss if you want more info.
Some people say that homeopathic HCG stings when its placed under the tongue. This may be because of the alcohol or other ingredients in homeopathic HCG.
The final homeopathic dilution is said to contain the “memory” of the original substance. The “memory” of the substance is what is supposed to be the active ingredient in homeopathic preparations.
How can an inert substance like water contain a memory? This makes no sense from a scientific point of view. Fact. Nobody who sells HCG drops can show you clinical proof that their product has a memory of HCG. Ask them, and you will see that I am right.
3 What Is HCG Made Of?
HCG is a hormone made of protein. When we eat protein-rich food, like chicken, the protein is broken down into the amino acids that make up the protein.
This is why chicken isn’t absorbed in the body as chicken. The same is true for HCG drops. When you take HCG by mouth, the protein that makes up the HCG is digested and absorbed as individual amino acids.
The amino acids that HCG is made of are used to do whatever the body needs to do. After they are absorbed, the body does not reassemble those amino acids back into the HCG hormone.
4 Homeopathic HCG Drops Proof
To determine if homeopathic supplements containing the HCG hormone worked, I searched the National Library of Medicine (pubmed.gov), a list of millions of studies from around the world. I searched this database using these terms:
- HCG drops
- HCG drops and weight loss
- Oral HCG
- HCG supplements
- homeopathic HCG
- Homeopathic human chorionic gonadotrophin
- Human chorionic gonadotrophin drops
- Human chorionic gonadotrophin supplements
None of these terms or phrases revealed any clinical studies. The only studies I did see were for the original HCG diet.
Websites that market sublingual HCG drops often talk about how they are “FDA Approved,” but this doesn't mean the FDA says homeopathic HCG drops cause weight loss. Update. The FDA now says HCG Drops are illegal.
The FDA-approved statement only means that the company has met the homeopathic medication requirements that the FDA stipulates. These requirements include listing the dilution, and instructions for the safety and purity of the product. Here is more on FDA conditions for homeopathic medications.
On March 9, 2011, the TV show Nightline did a story on homeopathic HCG and weight loss. They made a good point when they revealed that the FDA requires HCG labels to state that several clinical trials since the 1970s have shown HCG does not help weight loss.
As I revealed in my review of HCG injections, the research goes back to the 1950s, and ALL of that research is on injections of HCG. 99% of those clincal trials also revealed that it didn't work.
5 Can HCG Raise Testosterone Levels?
One of the claims for HCG weight loss protocols is that it stimulates the production of testosterone, an anabolic hormone that helps build muscle. There is some evidence that HCG can raise testosterone levels. But the evidence is for injected HCG. What about taking the HCG hormone by mouth? There appears to be no good proof taking HCG supplements can raise testosterone levels in people. Weight loss is known to raise testosterone. Is it possible that elevations in testosterone via the HCG diet are due to simply eating fewer calories?
6 Can You Purchase HCG Drops In Stores?
Local shops like Walmart and others may sell homeopathic human chorionic gonadotropin. If you go shopping for them, look at the labels carefully. Some supplements may contain additional ingredients such as caffeine, arginine, green tea, chromium and African Mango.
If you see this, the question to ask yourself is: if HCG drops really worked so well, then why do the supplements need those additional ingredients?
7 FDA And HCG Supplements
In 2013, the FDA stated that homeopathic HCG products are illegal. Both the FDA and FTC also sent letters to companies that make these products, telling them that they are illegal too. letters and warnings aside, I have still seen HCG weight loss remedies sold at health food stores. But what you see in stores may not be the HCG hormone. What is it, then? See the next section.
8 HCG Weight Loss Supplement Remedies
Since the FDA and FTC have clammed down companies that sold homeopathic HCG products, a new line of supplements has cropped up that contain “HCG” on the label. Do they contain the HCG hormone?
No.
Most of these supplements contain ingredients that raise the body's natural production of HCG. Supplements like these may be identified by words such as an HCG activator or an HCG catalyst. Others may contain “drops” in the name of the product.
These supplements do not contain HCG hormones but rather ingredients that are supposed to boost HCG production. Supplements said to boost HCG production may contain ingredients like:
- L ornithine
- Beta-alanine
- L carnitine
- Maca
- glutamine
- Rhodiola
Whether or not these ingredients effectively raise HGC hormone levels in people needs more study.

10 HCG Weight Loss Side Effects
I know the HCG drops and Doctor Simeons diet protocol is lauded and criticized. Here are some things to consider if you embark on this weight loss protocol. This list is not complete:
Eating only 500 calories per day may lead to the following:
- Muscle loss
- Hair loss
- Reduce wound healing
- Dizziness
- Lack of energy
As we learned from the study of former contestants of the Biggest Loser TV show, rapid weight loss may lead to lower metabolic rates. That's not to say the HCG weight loss program would do this too. It's something to consider for those who tend to gain and lose weight regularly.
Don't use the HCG weight loss program while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Stop using HCG drops/HCG injections at least two weeks before having surgery.
One report has possibly linked HCG drops to deep vein thrombosis (blood clots). This stems from a 64-year-old woman who was taking 20 HCG drops per day under the tongue for weight loss. Two weeks after she started HCG, her symptoms started. Given the complexity of the human body, it's hard to know if HCG was linked to her blood clots.
Obviously, without clinical studies on HCG supplements, it's challenging to know what the side effects – if any- might be. Use this as a guide to discuss with your doctor whether an HCG weight loss program is right for you.
11 Does The HCG Diet Work?
Logic tells us that people lose weight with HCG drops because they are only eating 500 calories per day. That said, does this mean HCG drops don't help at all? As seen in the comments below, some people swear this stuff works. While I take them at their word, I still feel we need clinical studies to know.
Even if you don't believe it's all about the calories, before you spend your $40 – $60 a month on HCG supplements, ask the person selling the product if they have any clinical proof that homeopathic HCG drops – plus eating 500 calories per day – causes more weight loss than ONLY eating 500 calories per day. Don't accept Dr. Albert Simeons' research because he didn't use HCG drops. He used injections of HCG.
I dont have time to read all the comments but just wondering for myself. I eat for the most part healthy and work out with a personal trainer 4-5 times a week but cant seem to shed the last 10 pounds. However, with only eating 500 calories dont you get light headed and feel sick when working out? I know for myself if I dont eat/drink enough I get light headed and weak. Is it that everyone is not working out? Thanks
I started HCG (hormone free) just over 2 weeks ago. I am a chronic yo-yo dieter. I gained 40 lbs about 5 years ago, after hitting my 40s, and have been dieting nearly everyday to try and lose it. I have tried every fad diet that you can imagine, I tried discipline, and I tried starvation!! Pounds didn’t budge. It had gotten to the point where I was saying if I just lose 5 lbs this month I would be happy.
It didn’t matter I could eat a lot, and I wouldn’t gain, or I could eat no food, and I wouldn’t lose. I was simply stuck. So, I didn’t want to use the hormone drops, because of where they come from, so when the hormone free drops were available, I decided to try them. I was very skeptical that they would even work, as I have tried lots of things, including diet pills, green tea, and even sensa–none of them worked for me. However, these drops are different.
My results this far has been 10 lbs in 12 days, hunger only the first 2 days, no dizziness, no weakness, no cravings, and my daughter can eat chips, candy, cake in front of me and I have no desire to cheat. I am a professional faster/dieter, and I have never lost 10 lbs in 12 days. I get excited to get up in the morning and weigh because I have lost anywhere from .50 to 1 lb.
I did end up cheating and ate some popcorn(I didn’t know how to tell my friend no I am dieting so I just shared some) , and it did stop my weightloss for about 3 days. But then, my weightloss started back and I lost 2 lbs in one day. I have no idea how this works, I just know it works, and I had not been able to get the scale to budge in about 5 years. I plan to go through maintenance, and keep the weight off. Now, some may say its mental, but its not!!
I have pushed myself to the mental limit without the drops, and was starving so bad I ate everything in site. My body wouldn’t let me not eat, because it was crying for food. These drops work, I’m losing weight, and that’s all the proof that I need at this point!
Eilia, if you are using “hormone free” HCG, what is in the drops?
This diet is so intriguing, I’ve been studying it for weeks. As a former low-carber who lost my first 75 lbs. with a ketogenic diet, I don’t understand why low-carbers are buying these drops up by the truckload. The state of ketosis, which is the mainstay for serious low-carb dieting, is what produces appetite suppression, higher energy levels, etc. It was always my goal to get into ketosis as quickly as possible, because it takes the hunger pangs away.
I felt fabulous when I was in ketosis. And the pounds dropped off. I didn’t lose as quickly as the HCG dieters, but I also wasn’t dropping my caloric intake to these low levels. In fact, I never counted calories. I simply measured the ketones in my urine, and that was my only monitor. I am intrigued by this, as I said, but the rapid weight loss with loss of appetite screams to me…Ketogenic diet with additional caloric reduction.
That being said, I do believe a low-carb diet changes eating habits long-term, and most successful low-carb dieters never go back to the fast food, sugar-laden life that made them overweight. If the “HCG diet” promotes healthy, long-term weight loss and better nutrition, who am I to knock it? Different strokes for different folks. But I still maintain we’re all coming to the same thing from different angles. It’s the ketosis, baby, and that’s all it is!
I don’t know anythign about “state of ketosis”. I do know that after put the weight off with HCG drops I re-evaluated my eating habits.
I was kind of surprised out how few vegetables and protein and how much carb I had been eating. I grew up in Louisiana and I love my french bread, white rice and I don’t think I need to say fried food! But these are precisely what got me to the place where I was unhealthy and overweight.
Of course we shouldn’t eat an entirely carbless diet. But I think myself, and many other Americans eat FAR too much carbs!
Dear Joe. You obviously never used Homeopathic Hcg or perhaps you never had a weight problem in your life. I used Homeopathic Hcg drops to shed 3 stone over 3 years ago and have never looked back. I tried every other diet under the sun and nothing worked, that includes consuming just 500 calories per day without the hcg but lost no weight after two days. Yet with hcg drops I shed a pound a day consistently until I reached my goal weight.
It changed my life and cost way less than the hcg injections which were completely out of my reach. I am living evidence that homeopath Hcg really works as are so many other thousands of people, how much more proof do you need??
Jessica
Jessica, thanks for writing. I need good research on HCG and when it comes to HCG drops I dont see it. I think you deserve better research. there is a lot of money being made on homeopathic HCG drops so I wonder why nobody – and that includes doctors who sell HCG homeopathic products – has published any research on it.
Even dr oz has said HCG drops were not worth it.
Im glad you say its helped you. I just want to see published peer reviewed proof. I think you deserve that.
I too followed a 500 calorie protocol for the 6 weeks, only 23 of those were low cal. I took the homeopathic drops. My friend also did the same diet but without the drops. I never told her I was using anything, but rather “we were just following the diet together”. I lost 30lbs. I did not suffer from hypoglycemia. On the other hand my friend’s cravings were out of control and she lost 13 lbs and looked pale and gaunt. She didn’t understand how come I still looked good and still had energy and she didn’t. She even lost a lot of hair. I have not gained any weight back and it has been a year.
I have maintained healthy eating habits and exercise regularly. My friend gained her weight back and then some within a month. She eats a lot of fruit and veggies. She was always thinner than me and she is taller. I guess this is small proof that there has to be something in these drops that is making a change in the way our bodies are functioning and processing fats.
I’d be curious to know what and how, but am happy knowing that it worked for this post- yo- yo dieter. Thus far no negative side effects. My labs are all great. No more pre-diabetes or high cholesterol. I know…I’m a bad friend. To date, she still doesn’t know I “cheated”!!!
Which HCG drops were you taking? I have been researching the HCG drops to help me lose 15-20 pounds. There are so many out there and I want something that works.
I’ve lost a pretty impressive amount of weight on the “homeopathic” HCG diet along with exercise. I do not know if the drops cause you to lose weight faster or not. All I care about is how effective it is at suppressing my appetite.
I’ll be blunt. I have no idea how it works, but it does. I am slightly terrified that there is some awful side effect. However my joints were starting to suffer from being overweight. Just getting down to 215 was a tremendous relief. I will do a second round to get down to less than 200. 185 or so maybe. In order to have a better height/weight ratio (and not get guff whenever I get a physical!)
I agree that you would likely lose a similar amount of weight whether you take drops or not. The difference is that it it much more difficult for many people to stick to a 500 calorie diet without some kind of appetite suppression. Personally I could not maintain a high functioning mental state at work on 500 calories a day. I was on a 1200 calorie diet.
One thing that I have learned and hope others learn. If you don’t change the kind of food you eat (and your approach to food) you will get overweight again. Also don’t lose weight because you have poor self image. Do it for health.
I hated the HCG diet. But after I came off and stabilized I decided to just omit junk food and soda. Cut way back on all the bread based food and just make it a habit of eating salad pretty much everyday.
So I am kind of still “dieting”. The main thing is changing my behavior so I don’t just eat food because I am bored or because I am already eating food and it was good.
Russdaren, congrats on your weight loss! fantastic 🙂
I have lost close to 30 lbs on hcg and it has actually been a great experience for me. I have reevaluated the way I view food. Yes, eating only 500 calories is a key component but on my protocol I also got detox drops that helped tremendously. I would recommend this diet.
Kelly, ever try just eating 500 calories without using HCG and see what happens? Just curious.
Of course you’re going to gain all or most of the weight back if you go back to your old eating habits without daily exercise. Weight loss and maintaining it is for the most part mathematical. If you eat the same amount of calories per day – 2,000, a little more or less depending on weight and height, and exercise regularly it is more than easy to keep the weight off.
But if you think that you can take the drops for a short time, follow to 500 calorie diet and go back to eating and living the same way you did before which caused you to be in the weight situation you were in in the first place, then yeah you’re going to gain it back.
I lost 20 lbs by just calorie cutting in two weeks. 500 calories a day is not healthy and starves your body. Muscle weighs more than fat and if you lose more muscle than fat, you wouldn’t know the difference unless you did something like the BOD POD which measures how much fat and muscle you have in your body before and after the weight loss.
Just so you know, muscle does not weigh more than fat. A lb. of muscle and a lb. of fat weigh the same. I had an rd tell me what you just stated. What you mean is muscle cells are more dense than fat cells.
Anyone who only eats 500cal a day will lose weight, and before you reply and say that the HCG burns the stored fat, let me say that a reduced calorie intake is very dangerous for your health. Headaches, nausea, hypoglycemia, kidney problems, concentration and memory problems, malnutrition and vitamin/mineral deficiencies are just some problems associated with a low cal diet.
It is recommended that women should eat no less than 1200ca and men no less than 1800cal per day, so eating less puts your body into starvation mode which causes muscle breakdown ( yes you will lose weight but its not fat your losing, its muscle).
Because your body is in starvation mode your metabolism decreases so when you finish the diet and start eating normally again you will gain weight back. Ask yourself, can you maintain 500cal per day after the diet has finished???
The best way to lose weight is through eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly (incorporating cardio and weights).
You dont stay on 500 calories. You go into a maintenance phase and then you go back to normal caloric numbers. At the end of the diet your mind and body should adjust to eating healthy food.
I have tested this for 3 months without a stupid 500cal diet. I just ate healthy as usual and all I noticed is i lost a few, but I also exercise. I don’t see a difference taking them or not. I like my 136lbs
Hi everyone,
I just purchased the drops. This is my first day on the drops and I weigh 183 lbs. I will be honest and let everyone know in about a week how much I lost.
How did it turn out?
Cherie Ann, how did what turn out?
Started the HCG Diet drops this week.
When I bought the bottle and read the instructions I knew immediately that I will not be eating 500 calories a day because IT CANNOT BE SUSTAINED. I plan to use the Easy HCG Drops I bought to help with appetite control until I get used to my juicing regimen. I have been juicing and blending and getting protein from black beans and Chicken and I plan to get some pea, rice or hemp protein powder. I also love love coconut oil which I use in my hair, my face and drink (1 tbs) before breakfast every day. I also do Kettlebells and jump rope.
I have decided to make a lifestyle change in the way I eat because I have been burned too many times with these quick fixes and fads.
After 30 days I intend to stop the drops completely because I would be used to my new way of eating.
I admire those who have kept off the weight but by the posts here and other videos I have seen online you WILL put back on the weight rapidly after you stop the program. Most people don’t have that discipline to stay on a specific caloric diet for the rest of their lives.
My girlfriend and I finished our round of the Hcg drops Dec 6th. Since iam in Canada i was initially only able to acquire hormone free and homeopathic drops. I started at 292 pounds Oct 27th and on Dec 6th I weighed in at 255.
I stopped taking the drops and I am 252 for the last week. THATS 40 Freaking pounds! I have had a full physical and it was perfect including my cholesterol -came in at 3.4. I have decided I WANT to know what it feels like to do injections with the real McCoy so after my holidays in Jan starting real hcg.
I must say, what this diet has taught me is not to eat stupidly, avoid crap esp. after all the work i put into it, break bad habits, and to cook better as I keep living the way i was eating. Pretty amazed.
IM SOLD even though my doctor thinks im insane for “playing with my hypothalamus”..I know when i do the real hcg im only injecting a very very minute amount and have no reservations now.
Interestingly, found out that the governing medical board of the state of NEVADA LEGALIZED HCG SPECIFICALLY FOR WEIGHTLOSS last year saying that it was no more dangerous than taking an aspirin. Seems many ppl were going out of state to doctors prescribing it that Nevada legalized it after some research of their own. Hummmm 🙂
I decided to read this article/thread because I too want to know: if the drops have no hcg, how does it work? Seems they DO-
2 close friends of mine lost significant amounts of weight in a short period of time. They told me about the drops and I purchased some right away, from the same source. My bottle reads: Active Ingredients: Human Chorionic Gonadotropin 6x 12x 30x 60x. Inactive ingredients: Purified Water, 20% USP Alcohol. The front of the bottle reads, Homeopathic.
So, is there or isn’t there? Some have suggested using a preggo test and see if it turns up positive.
Mine did-I think. (A little pregnant?) The line was very faint.
Have used them 4 days, not without feeling weak and a bit shaky, as if I’ve been fasting. However, if the theory holds that hcg sends a”summons” for the body to release fat, it should show up on a diabetic Ketosis strip, shouldn’t it?
Well, I just tested and the strip turned dark purple, indicating Ketosis. Anyone who has done Atkins knows-it means your body has used all the carbs and is now burning fat for fuel.
So. I’ve ordered the real thing -hcg-might do the injections-going all out. I believe something is going on with these hcg drops, but I want the real McCoy.
Jacqueli, very interesting words you wrote! I really appreciate you taking the time to do your experiments. was particularly interested that the pregnancy test had a faint color change. Really hope some scientist does a controlled study of this soon.
I recently purchased HCG after many of my friends lost large amounts of weight on the product. I lost 7 lbs the first week on the drops. I did some further research and could not continue to use the product because I found out it is made out of “pregnant women’s urine.”
This has really grossed me out and I can not get myself to accept this and continue the drops. Perhaps in shots I would feel better about this but placing drops under my tongue made from this substance is too much for me. I will continue the diet to see if I lose weight without the drops.
I don’t know of a claim that HGC causes weight loss. It does however make it easy to maintain a 500 calorie a day diet. This rant seems just to be about the value of homeopathic treatments in general.
I used to be a skeptic too, but there are studies that show homeopathy to be a useful tool in maintaining health. After the HCG experience I’ve had I consider homeopathy a viable option.
I think homeopathic HCG will open a lot of minds to homeopathy in general!
I don’t know nor care how it works, if (since) homeopathy works you probably don’t care either.
DJ, This is off topic but can you show me the the “studies that show homeopathy to be a useful tool in maintaining health.” Are they peer reviewed? I just have a hard time wrapping my mind around the idea that something that doesn’t contain a single molecule of the original substance, can have any effect. I have an open mind though so do show me the studies you have seen.
I simply dont have the time to critically analyze all of the above womens videos on YouTube. But when you consider that this formerly obese woman has had to deal with a myriad of thyroid issues, and HCg is the only thing that “worked”, maybe theres something to it.
When Dr.Simeon was using HCG to treat the underdeveloped sexual organs of children, back in the 50’s, and coincidentally noticed “fat little boys” fat hips reduced in size,WHEN AT THE SAME TIME they lost their hunger, without any diet- this raised eyebrows as well.
All i can tell you is yesterday I weighed 266.6 and this morning i weigh 264.4. Do I know why?. No i do not.
Well, I took the hcg drops,HORMONE FREE 10 days,AS well as Homeopathic since…, and have now for the last 21 days and have actually lost 25 pounds. I started at 292, and I am 266. The drops NO WORD OF A LIE, curbed my hunger to the point where i was very very comfortable with eating basically 2 meals a day consisting of 4 or 5 sometimes 6 oz of meat and two cups of vegetables.
At times i haven’t even eaten my fruits! NO dizziness, no light headedness, no heart palpitations, no evident side effects that i can see. I have scheduled myself for a full physical. But so far I feel pretty good. Sex is easier and I gotta say, the excitement this diet produces is motivation to continue.
After quite a bit of reading, of what doctors against the diet and doctors for the diet are saying..the bottom line for me is where theres smoke there is fire..something seems to be working here. I have never seen weight drop by starving myself in such a consistent manner. On occasion i am lifting weights to counteract any muscle loss. But I have found a few women who have show they lost muscle at FIRST ,but then ONLY FAT! this is worth studying.
A lady who goes by HCG CHICA and her study her fat losses on hcg. VERY IMPRESSIVE.
youtube.com/watch?v=IzW_J7VLaWU&feature=relmfu
Frank thanks for the info. regarding the YouTube video in your comment, It locked up my PC 2x and made me restart it but regardless, the woman makes a critical error. she measured body fat with a bioelectric impedance analysis body fat device. This is not the best way to measure body fat.
Body fat percentages with bioelectric impedance analysis to be off by 10-15% – higher or lower. Also, did she do the test than 24 hours of exercise? If so that also could change the results. Even the time of day or the time of month that she did the test could alter the results of the test.
Also, I’m not aware of any specific conversion factor between bioelectric impedance analysis and underwater weighing.
It would be great if a study was done as to why people can stick to this diet while on the drops. Maybe it’s all psychological, maybe it really works. I know three people who have all succeeded in losing over 20 pounds and none of them have gained it back. (from ages 22 to 58) Seeing is believing and you can’t deny that there are a lot of people who failed on other diets and who succeed with this one. That kind of proof is undeniable. (Though yes, a real scientific study would be nice)
I’ve been on HCG drops for a week and I’ve lost 9 pounds already. I felt hungry the first few days and then I felt fine (And I have a very physically demanding job) I have plenty of energy and no side effects. If this diet is working well for you then do yourself a favor and trust your body and don’t fill your head with doubts. Just always be aware of how you are personally feeling on the diet. This is a very strict diet and you do need a lot of will power not to cheat but the end results are worth it.
Good luck everyone. Hope someone does some research to back up all the people who have had success with HCG drops soon!
Trai, I also hope that research gets done but at the risk of being skeptical, I wont hold my breath. Its not in the best interest of the hcg diet industry to fund such a study. This is something that a large hospital-based weight loss clinic would have to undertake and why they are not doing the research, I dont know.
