Update 8/17/21. EasySlim 10 is a weight loss supplement from the Philippines that I'd never heard of before someone told me about it. After looking at the product website and seeing the ingredients, I wanted to review it. During my preliminary investigation, I also noticed various websites and Facebook posts touting how good it was. Who Makes EasySlim 10?
On the contact page of the product website -EasySlim10.com – we see that the company is called “Magic Potions.” After some research, I found the company is also called “Magic Potions Merchandise Inc.” They are located at G/F 818 Bldg., Arnaiz Avenue
Makati City, Metro Manila 1223, Philippines.
It appears that the company has several dietary supplements that they offer.
According to the WhoIs.com file for the company, the phone number is 63.917.888.2999. The person who registered the website is Modesto Pinpin Jr. While I can't be sure, he may be the person in charge at Magic Potion Merchandise.
For what it's worth, the product website notes that Magic Potions is an “independent distribution company.” This may mean they don't actually make EasySlim 10 or other products they sell. Rather, others make the products and Magic Petitions distributes them.

I am not sure which is the best way to contact the company. If you are in the Philippines, use the first number, as I believe that might be a local Philippines phone number. You might try the other phone numbers if you are in the US. You can also try the email address I located. There is also a contact form on the EasySlim10.com website as well.
EasySlim 10 Ingredients
According to the product website, these are the ingredients in EasySlim 10:

The instructions are to take 1 soft gel capsule per day before breakfast.
Looking at the list of ingredients, I believe I found a typo. If you add up the amounts in all the ingredients in the table above, they equal 400 mg. But, notice that the first ingredient – bamboo shoots – is said to contain 40 grams. I believe this should be 40 milligrams.
In the big picture, I don't think this is significant. I make my share of typos too.
Now, let's look at the research on each of the ingredients
EasySlim 10 Research
I am unaware of any published, peer-reviewed clinical trials on EasySlim 10 or the unique blend of ingredients in the product. That doesn't necessarily mean the product doesn't work, but to figure this out, we will have to look at each of its ingredients separately. Let's do that now.
Bamboo Shoots
I'm not aware of any evidence that bamboo shoots help weight loss. I searched the national library of medicine for:
“Bamboo shoots weight loss”
but no relevant studies showed up. I also searched online for this as well. While various websites discuss the health benefits of bamboo shoots, none that I saw showed me clinical studies proving it helps people lose weight. Bamboo shoots do have some fiber and I can understand how fiber might fill us up, making us less likely to overeat.
Konjac Root Fiber
This is also called Konjac root or glucomannan. If EasySlim 10 really works, this may be the key ingredient.

EasySlim 10 contains 32 mg of Konjac fiber per tablet. That's not much, considering weight loss studies generally use 1000-3000 mg daily. Might less also work? Maybe. I'm not sure either way.
The fiber is also sold by itself in both tablet and powder form.
Semen Coicis
Chinese herbs can go by various names. For example, this herb appears to also go by other names such as “coix seed”, “Jobs Tears” and simply “Coix.” This herb contains fiber and at least one mouse study has noted weight loss. I'm not aware of any human weight loss research at the time I wrote this review.

Tarragon Leaf
The scientific name for this herb is Artemisia dracunculus. I'm not aware of any evidence that tarragon leaf helps people lose weight. According to WebMd.com, the herb contains an ingredient that might cause cancer. How likely this is to occur, I can't say. For what it's worth, I'm not aware of any human evidence of this.
Lotus Leaf
I first ran into lotus leaf when I reviewed Xi Ziu Tang.

As I said in those other reviews, I'm still not aware of any good clinical evidence it helps people lose weight.
Soy Bean Seed Oil
Soy is great, but whether or not it helps people lose weight is debatable. For what it's worth, I don't think it does.
Capsule Shell
I don't think this is an actual ingredient. I think it's just a term to refer to whatever makes up the tablets. As one reader pointed out to me in the comments, if the product is contained in a soft gel, why do they need a “capsule shell?”
Ingredients That Might Work
Based on the evidence that could be located, Konjac root, also known as glucomannan, is likely the main weight loss ingredient.
Does It Contain Sibutramine?
Sibutramine, also called Merida, is a weight loss drug that has been banned in the US because it's been linked to heart attacks and strokes. Unfortunately, this drug has been found in several weight loss supplements over the last few years. The EasySlim 10 website states that the product does not contain sibutramine or ephedra or melamine.
It's commendable for the company to get out in front of this issue and tell people that their product does not contain this drug or other stimulants.
EasySlim 10 Side Effects
The Magic Potions website states EasySlim 10 will not cause diarrhea, headaches or (thank goodness) no oil excretion. That said, below are some items pertaining to its ingredients that may be relevant, depending on who you are. This list is not complete.
- Start with less than recommended for the first week to see how you respond
- Stop taking all supplements not prescribed by your doctor at least 2 weeks before surgery
- Don't take EasySlim 10 if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- There is some concern that the long-term eating of bamboo shoots may contribute to hypothyroidism. There is not much bamboo shoots in the supplement. If you have a low-acting thyroid, it might be best to ask your pharmacist.
- There have been some case reports of konjac root tablets getting stuck in the throat of people. While this may be a remote occurrence, make sure you take konjac-containing supplements with enough water to swallow the product fully. Personally, I prefer the powdered form to tablets because of this possibility. You can mix the powder in smoothies or drink it with juice.
Easy Slim 10 vs. Easy Slim 9
Easy Slim 9 is another weight loss supplement and while both supplements sound similar, they have different ingredients. So what's better Easy Slim 9 or Easy Slim 10? This is something researchers have yet to investigate. See the Easy Slim 9 review for more on that slimming supplement.
What Do I Suggest
Glucomannan, also known as konjac fiber, is one of the ingredients. Several studies suggest konjac fiber can curb appetite and help people lose weight. This may be the key ingredient in Easy Slim. Glucomannan costs less and can be mixed in juice or smoothies. If you're looking to save money, this is what I suggest.
Why Do They Call It Easy Slim 10?
Calling it “Easy Slim” is supposed to give the idea that weight loss easy, but why does the number “10” appear in the name? There are not 10 ingredients in the product. The reason for the number 10 is not known.
Does It Work?
Based on the research I saw as I wrote this review, I just don't think so. Most of the ingredients in EasySlim 10 appear to have either no human weight loss evidence or very limited evidence. The only ingredient I did see that had multiple human studies was glucomannan (Konjac). I think that's the active ingredient if the product works.
