As most know, I've been somewhat skeptical about the ingredients in Zi Xiu Tang that are supposed to work as well as the lack of information about ZXT side effects. I routinely scan the web for information about ZXT bee pollen supplements to try to help people who are taking ZXT. Finding unbiased information is a challenge, since it seems that most people who talk about ZXT also sell ZXT. So, I decided to try to locate quality ZXT info another way. I know there are Zi Xiu Tang distributors who read my website. For all the ZXT distributors reading these words, I have a challenge for you.
Update 4/8/14. The FDA warns people to immediately stop taking Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen weight loss supplements. It tested several Zi Xiu Tang products – including those that were said to be “genuine” and not counterfeit. The FDA found that the some products contained not only sibutramine, an illegal weight loss drug but some also contained Phenolphthalein, a chemical that may increase the risk of cancer. Update 10/24/12. The FDA determined that Zi Xiu Tang contains a weight loss drug. This explains why it worked as well as it did. The FDA advises people to stop taking Zi Xiu Tang immediately .
Update 7/25/12. ZXT Gold – a similar product – has been found to contain 2 hidden drugs by Canadian health authorities. See my ZXT Gold Review for more information on this.

I challenge any Zi Xiu Tang distributor in the world to show me:
- One published peer reviewed study proving that bee pollen by itself promotes weight loss in humans. This should be easy since practically every ZXT website says it's bee pollen that is causing weight loss.
- Two published peer reviewed studies from separate independent United States based labs showing that Zi Xiu Tang it really contains only the ingredients listed on its label.
- A published peer reviewed study that scientifically outlines how Zi Xiu Tang works. No mumbo-jumbo talk of “cleansing toxins” or “detoxifying the body“. Rather, I want a study that shows me what specific ingredients in Zi Xiu Tang cause weight loss AND the metabolic pathways are by which those ingredients work.

I believe the name is Floyd Nutrition. My friend tried their ZXT GOLD and had the same reaction as Erin. Her doctor told her to discontinue using it. Especially since there is no information on who manufactures it. It states on their site they created it themselves.
This seller also seems to be selling a Zi Xiu Tang that they claim is the original? Do you know what that means? They claim that it is not manufactured by the company that actually created Zi Xiu Tang.
The box I received from them does not have the name of the manufacturers, which I felt was strange, so I didn’t take them. The one I received from another seller has the manufacturer Guangzhou zixiutang Biotechnology on the leaflet.
Is it possible that this Floyd seller hired their own lab to copy the Zi Xiu Tang of Guangzhou zixiutang biotechnology? Have you heard anything about this?
Dalana, as I understand it they arent the same thing. Whats the name of the company that makes zxt gold?

ZXT GOLD is not Zi Xiu Tang, right? They don’t look the same. It says they are made by a manufacturer here in the U.S.A. Can you confirm that?

Erin, I agree its not worth it at 22 -or at any age. If you read my review “zi xiu tang revealed” you can read the hundreds of comments about the product.
My own feeling is that there was a mystery ingredient that was causing weight loss. this mystery ingredient appears to have been removed several months ago, leaving the product much less powerful at weight loss. what that ingredient was, I dont know.
Still, I think your right in tossing the zi xiu tang in the trash and not using it again.

I went to the er last week bc I had suffered my first panic attack and wanted to get checked out. Everything was normal, ekg, chest x ray etc. I also went to my Dr and took the pills with me and I gave them to him and he said that they cannot harm you, but I am stopping the pills today its not worth it at 22 years old
Erin, please stop taking zi xiu tang. If you have not read through all of the comments (I know there are over 500 of them), in short, I dont trust zi xiu tang and I dont think its safe. As a rule I never trust weight loss supplements coming from China or that part of the world or from companies Ive never hear of before.
I recommend you go to the hospital and take the supplement with you so the doctors know what you took.
I know that might sound extreme to you but I dont know whats in zi xiu tang and I do not know what is causing your dizziness and heart racing. I rather be cautious when it comes to your health.
Hey yall. I bought zxt gold and have been taking it for 3 days with 5 lbs lost BUT I feel extremely dizzy, my heart feels like its racing when in reality its not. I bought my from Floyd nutrition and I called them today to see if the ingredients listed on the bottle were the complete list and they said it was not due to the “simplicity of counterfeits. However I believe this pill has something in it that’s dangerous, has anyone else experienced anything from zxt gold?
When i bough my first bottle of zi xiu tang pills, back in 2009. I was very impressed with the product, and lost a lot of weight in a span of 11 months, lost about 40 pounds due to the laxative effects of the product, but ever since January 2011 this product has changed drastically, and it does not work anymore.
I have regained the 40 i had lost, why did Dr tang changed the original formula that worked? please bring the old zi xiu tang back. Thank you.

Have you had any success? I tried the platinum body slim that Floyd is offering and it worked for about 3 weeks as I lost 13 lbs but then it stopped and I am staying stagnant.
OK! Here I go…I’m going to try and take a crack at this ongoing saga. Listen up, as I try to shed some light.
I have been told today by a contact given to me via email from zixiutangsuccess.com that the problem came about due to harvest seasons. now, that makes sense. however, they’ve corrected the problem. this is for zi xiu tang.
ZXT (just ZXT) the sample 12 caps 6 day 10 dollar deal from Floyd Nutrition i tried 2 days ago. I was previously on the “crappy” ones up until 2 days ago since aug. 2010. though they worked until the new year, they did not from jan. till 2 days ago. i gained weight. 135 to 160. now i can tell you i see feel and tell there’s a difference. a good one.
But, here is my beef. Floyd still sells the old box on their site claiming its new stuff. also they sell magic slim who is by guangzhou bio co ltd. if they are no longer affiliated, why do they sell the old box still saying its new and why do they sell magic slim but you dont see that anywhere on so called authentic zi xui tang guangzhou bio co ltd sites.
did they take the ones they bought b4 and stick a clever name on it to get rid of them? and as far as the old box new manufacturer deal, well what the heck is the difference between that and the zxt/zxt gold they sell. they have 3 different bee pollen. its so shady. however. zxt works, and im waiting on gold. and then i will order from zixuitangbeepollen.com who says they are totally against and say that Floyd is false and i will try their extra strength for 50 dollars after i try my 40 dollar zxt gold. what do you guys think of that? isn’t that our only option?

Joe, all of this is coming from a consumer who has bought the product over the past year and half, i took the original product that came in a 48 count bottle, worked wonders and i recommended it to about 40 other ppl who also took it and saw great results, as for me and others who are buying the recent bottles, not one person can say it works for them, something has definitely changed and its not just the weight loss, no energy, no bowl movements and no weight loss, i don’t know why or what they changed but with my own experience and from others i closely know, the new product is not the same and does not work, i just wanted to put my own findings about this product out there
Joe, where did you get the “90% success rate” statistic from? Is it from the Zi Xiu Tang company? Do they have these stats? Or did you just based your own personal observation (which is not scientifically valid).
It’s true nobody can guarantee 100% purity and we have all read reports of drugs which have had problems. That said you and I both know something has been taken out of zi xiu tang which is making it not work anymore – or at least not making some batches work anymore.
Some people are saying they lose weight while others say zi xiu tang does not work. That says to me that there is a problem with quality control.
If people buy zi xiu tang but do not lose weight, can people get their money back? How can they do this?

Not even the best pharma companies can say their product works 100% of the time…..your response is/should not be a negative towards the product, as I agree NO company can promise 100% results.

Vic, I’d rather not make this about recommending any particular brand or company that makes zi xiu tang. I currently do not trust any company given what people report. As such I wont post any supplement or company that Juile recommends.
When I wrote my challenge to the distributors, I said I would only give credit to a distributor who could answer my questions. Juile has tried to -and I appreciate this – but her answers were not up to the standards that I have set for this website.

Guangzhou Zi Xiu Tang Biotechnology, Co.,LTD still owns and manufactures Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen Capsules. I find it so unethical for other businesses to use this to create confusion. These are false statements made with deliberate intent to deceive the public.

Joe, thanks for writing and I appreciate your entrepreneurship and running a small business. That said, I’m not funding the zi xiu tang study because I am not the person making the claims that bee pollen causes weight loss. It’s the zi xiu tang distributors and Zi Xiu Tang company who making unsubstantiated statements about bee pollen and weight loss.
Joe, I understand that research takes money so why don’t you ask the the Zi Xiu Tang company to prove to you that Zi Xiu Tang contains what they say and to do a study.
The Zi Xiu tang company has made a LOT of money off of Americans. They can definitely afford a study.
Alternatively, go to a university and give some zi xiu tang to a college senior to do his/her MS Thesis. If the research is good they can get it published. For you this will be free except for the cost of the zi xiu tang.
Since you work with Julie you know as well as I do that something in zi xiu tang has changed and that people are saying it doesn’t work anymore.
I also dont feel I’m making anyone afraid with my words. I have more faith in people than that. I believe people deserve both sides of the story and facts based in science and rational thought rather than just testimonials and unsubstantiated “facts” made on websites created for the purpose of selling weight loss supplements.
