I've finally had a chance to sit down and compile a list of Zi Xiu Tang side effects. What follows are the most common ZXT side effects that have been reported by people who commented on my ZXT reviews, Zi Xiu Tang Does it Work and Zi Xiu Tang Weight Loss Supplement Revealed. Below are the most common side effects along with the number of people who reported that side effect. I tried to count every person reporting a side effect only once but given the number of people commenting there may be a couple of duplicates. Not surprising weight loss was the most frequent side effect reported with 16 people reporting this. Keep in mind that there may be more than this. There were many people reporting side effects however I only counted 16 who specifically said it caused “weight loss”. This was followed by (again no surprise) dry mouth. While I tried to be as accurate as possible, keep in mind that this is a very unscientific review of ZXT side effects and is based only on those people who commented. If you have experienced other ZXT side effects not listed here please do mention them. Only in this way can we help people the best.
Update 4/8/14. The FDA warns people to immediately stop taking Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen weight loss supplements. It tested several Zi Xiu Tang products – including those that were said to be “genuine” and not counterfeit. The FDA found that the some products contained not only sibutramine, an illegal weight loss drug but some also contained Phenolphthalein, a chemical that may increase the risk of cancer. Update. 10/24/10. The FDA has determined that Zi XIu Tang contains sibutramine, an illegal weight loss drug. Here is the FDA warning about Zi Xiu Tang for more information.

Update 7/25/12. ZXT Gold has been found to contain 2 hidden drugs. Supplements should not contain drugs especially when they are not listed on the label. See the ZXT Gold Review for more info on this.

Do you have any different Zi Xiu Tang side effects?
I am on day three of not taking Zi Xiu Tang.I took them for about ten days. My heart rate is up, which makes me feel anxious and worried. I am tired and it is very hard to function normally throughout the day. This is awful.
Laura, follow your instincts and stop taking them. Its not worth it.
Been taking Zi Xiu for 7 days. I started at 217 lbs and now at 209 lbs. (Almost 10 lbs in one week!) My temporary goal is 190 but my ultimate goal is somewhere around 140.
Side affects:
I haven’t had dry mouth or need to constantly pee HOWEVER I do feel like I’m tipsy the whole day. My limbs feel heavier and almost numb and my mind is a tad hazy.
I started having very vivid dreams to the point of where I woke up and started searching my bed for a spider.
Final review:
The dreams are very easy to deal with. The tipsy feeling is annoying but I feel like in the long run, it’s worth the annoyances to look more attractive!

I have been told by 2 doctors in the last year that I have Fibromyalgia, I have Polycystic ovary syndrome, (Which tells my body to store fat.) a low thyroid levels (It was “2” the last time it was checked and had to go on a new medication. Which I have been on for more than a year, and still gained weight.), also I’m over 40! On August 20th of this year I got on the scale and weighed 298!!! That is scary!!!
I started taking Slim Trim U, 8-20-12. I have been is such a bad place for so long. I can honestly say I don’t think I can go back and live without it. I would rather die! I have lost 54 pounds now. I have zero appetite. I’m a better mom. I don’t hurt all day everyday. I don’t hurt at all! I’m able to focus and stay on task, and my energy level is amazing.
I have tried two other diet pills prescribed by my doctor in the last 5 years and the appetite suppressant in them only last about a month, and I only lost about 5 pounds each month. Which was not worth the cost, that insurance wouldn’t pay. I have also tried every diet you can name.
The only bad side effect I have had is diarrhea for about two weeks. I told my husband if I was running to the bathroom, I was at lest getting some exercise.
I am a healthy, 21 year old female who is interested in taking the Zi Xiu Tang Bee Pollen pills.. I am a very active person but want to just lose those extra few pounds.. i have no health conditions at all and am on no medications… I have had no medical history or anything… could it hurt to try these pills for a week or so and see how I react to them?
Denise, I dont recommend you use them. I dont trust these pills. If you read my other reviews on similar products like ZXT gold beautiful slim body and hokkaido weight loss pills, you’ll see that the FDA found an illegal weight loss drug (called sibutramine) in them (its banned because it may cause a heart attack in some people)
One of the most common things people said they experienced with Zi Xiu Tang (and these other products I linked to above) is dry mouth. Dry mouth is one of the side effects of the weight loss drug called sibutramine (also called Meridia).
I would not take the chance Denise.
Are you guys crazy!!!!!! Don’t go anywhere near zxt gold or zi xiu tamg! The FDA has declared a recall and has found that it contains Sibutramine. All you have to do is google that drug and you won’t ever look at those pills again. It causes death, strokes, heart attacks, and a lot of different cardiovascular problems.
Please do your research guys! These pills are so bad!
I have worked out my whole life, and watched my diet, a little overweight, can only lose a lb here and there. but after hearing success stories with zi xiu tang, a few of us at work decided to try it.
The results were dramatic for all of us, and effortless. Average weight loss 20 lbs in 4 to 6 weeks. Some side effects, dry mouth, elevated mood, actually felt great. Now I read of recall and am so bummed. I bought more recently, without the great effects, so am sure we must have had the recalled version.
I wish pharmaceutical companies could come up with a safer version of this subutramine. It was an extremely successful weight loss option, which this country desperately needs. I knew it was too good to be true. we joked about buying up bottles before it was taken off the market. Now I wish I had!!
Today I am discarding this product. I took this pill for three days. It did suppress my appetite to the point where I had to force myself to eat. On the second night my sleep was horrible- only 4 hours. Yesterday I felt a throbbing headache all day long, accompanied by light dizziness and my heart just didn’t feel right.
People report they were hypertensive but I believe I was hypotensive. I did pay attention to my urine and my urge to pee. It was so unusual. I just read a review that said that the capsule contains Furosemide. Knowing how Furosemide works I am willing to believe that.
Last night,again, I did not sleep well. Just saw the FDA warning about the ZXT bee pollen product. I have not taken the pill this morning. I feel better. I think it is wearing off its side effects on me.
For the longest time I tried to find some legitimate information on this pill. I looked on the bottle, in the little pamphlet, on line: NOTHING. I have to say I did not buy it.
It was given to me by a friend who said she felt horrible while on it (she bought it because a third friend recommended it). However, I decided to be the control group in the experiment. Total fail.
I just found out there has been a recall zi xiu tang pills. I have been over weight to obese my entire life and have tried every diet plan out there. I recently tried these pills and in two months lost 20 pounds. I need to lose 80 more. I really don’t want to get surgery like gastric bypass. I started exercising but I do realize that I need some kind of appetite suppressant. Any suggestions?

A friend of mine started taking the zi xiu about 2 months ago and lost 10 pounds so I thought I would give it a try. I just wanted to lose about 10 pounds. I have been taking them for about a month and a half and I feel horrible. I can’t sleep and I feel like I am in space my eyes have gotten blury and I am jittery. I didn’t quite know what was wrong until this moment I got online and read the comments. STOP TAKING THE PILLS
ive been taking zxt slim for three days i have been having panic attacks and chills but other than that i wanted to loose some belly fat is all i want not wanting to loose a whole bunch of weight because i only weight 136 lbs am only taking it for a month any comments accepted
rhonda, I recommend strongly that you stop taking it. I dont trust ANY “ZXT” product or any product that sounds like ZXT (zi xiu tang etc). So far I dont have any proof zxt slim has Sibutramine (and illegal weight loss drug) but since a lot of other similar products have been found to have it, I think its a possibility.
I have been taking them for 2 years now and have only had dry mouth I went from weighting 193 to know weighing 124 I love it and feel great!
Jessica, just so you know I now highly suspect that the dry mouth is due to the illegal weight loss drug Meridia. Its been removed from the US market because it may cause heart problems. My daughter and I started taking these about 6 weeks ago and we have each lost about 15 lbs each. She is feeling fine but I have been experiencing the lump in the throat, very dry mouth and lips and noticed by blood pressure going up. I have always been on the low end of the scale, went to the Dr. today and he freaked when he saw how high it was.
I stopped taking these a few days ago and will find another way to lose the last 10 lbs. I am trying to convince my daughter to do the same. Hopefully I start feeling normal again and will watch my blood pressure until it gets back to normal.
For those of you that are taking these, please listen to your body, it will tell you when something is not right.

I have been taking this for 2 months, have not experienced any of these issues and have lost 23lbs. I do work out, however I have PCOS which makes it more difficult to lose even with exercise. This is the first time in 10 years i have been able to lose.
Today is day 2with out taking the bee pollen. Im feeling confused heart flutters and the sensation of the hair ball in my throat as well now its moved to my chest. Extreme burping and headaches… This is awful. Hope this helps others not to use your body as a test for this stuff!!:-(

I started taking the ultimate formula bee pollen on the 9th of oct with in 3 days I felt like i had the flu chills and all now after 2 weeks I have a feeling of a hair ball in my throat. lost 11.4 pounds but really hate the constant swallowing and dry mouth that h20 will not cure.. also still getting frequent chills.. did not take my dose today throat feeling a little more bearable. like the results just dont really think im helping myself

Kristin, do you understand that what are you selling is poison, I purchased my pills from this website beepollendiet.com and this website is supposedly the only legit website out there. People don’t use this pills, this pills made me feel like I was empty inside very depressed, I was crying all the time I had no control over my emotions it was the weirdest feeling ever.
This was just a month ago back then I thought it was something else because I have never experienced depression like that. So I just try them again last week immediately first thing that happen short fuse temper, after that anxiety and feeling very sad I knew right then that the pills were causing this I stop the pills and threw them away.
I am still feeling weird right now within a couple a weeks I should start feeling like my self again that’s what happen last time. Whatever is on this pills is really bad even if you didn’t experienced what I did be careful with this product .

Regarding the “rash”, have your doctor refer you to a dermatologist. I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago. It took almost three months and three doctors before I was diagnosed with granuloma annulare. Maybe mention it to your doctor… I was told there is no explanation why it happens and if a breakout will happen again. I doubt it’s related to the ZXT Gold, though…
I am thinking about taking these pills, but then again I read the comments and I am scared….. I can’t believe the result of weight loss that some of you have gotten… the symptoms do scare me but then again I want to loose weight =/
Tersa, I think it all comes down to whether the weight loss you want outweighs side effects some people are reporting. For me, Id rather not risk it.
Joe, Maybe you should do some research! There are MANY counterfeit versions of this product that WILL make you very sick, the real deal WILL NOT.! Educate yourself!
Kristin Im guessing you are a Zi Xiu tang reseller from your comments. Let me ask you this question. Am I correct that the real deal zi xiu tang is made by the zixiutang biotechnology company? Can you show me a picture of the company? If its on google images I cant find it – even when I put in the address they give on their own website. In a country with 1 billion people nobody seems to have taken a picture of this company. I discuss this in my Slim Trim U review.
I started these pills on September 28, so almost a month, I do feel a little hyper, and the first week I did not sleep much. I felt exhausted, but couldn’t rest at all. I have lost some weight, not sure, I haven’t weighed myself, but my clothes are fitting very loose. I can’t exactly put my finger on it, but I don’t feel like myself.
I have been getting sick often, a cold that last for a few days here and there. I just started getting some lower back pain, not sure if it’s the pills or from exercise, because I’ve always exercised, even before the start of this pill. I think I will finish what I have, and not start a new bottle, I am very happy about the weight loss, but I can’t go on feeling this way.
If you don’t mind me asking, where did you purchase your bottle? And how much did you pay? There are ALOT of counterfeit products out there that are NOT good for you. I could maybe help you to figure out if you got the real deal or a FAKE.
