What Is SeroVital Advanced?

It's a dietary supplement with a set of ingredients (called the Renewal Complex) that the makers claim will clinically raise human growth hormone and provide you with the following benefits:

  1. fewer lines and wrinkles
  2. better sleep
  3. reduced appetite and cravings
  4. weight loss
  5. better energy levels
  6. heightened focus

All pretty impressive benefits. So is there any evidence for them?

How Many Capsules Per Day?

So with the Advanced formula, there are red, white, and yellow capsules.  In the morning, you take 1 red and white capsule together. Then, about 2 hours before bed, you take 4 of the yellow capsules with water on an empty stomach. That makes 6 capsules a day.

The yellow capsules are the actual SeroVital supplement.

The red and white capsules contain the ingredients that are supposed to help with weight loss, skin health, and cravings.

SeroVital Advanced Ingredients

Here are the ingredients in the yellow and red and white capsules:

Yellow Capsules (SeroVital). Take 4 of these  Red & White. Take 2 of These

When you read this table, remember these tips:

For example, in the proprietary blend, since hyaluronic acid (used for skin hydration) is the last ingredient listed, there's less of it than chlorella, which is listed first.

Making Sense Of The Ingredients

Serovital Advanced contains the exact same 6 ingredients – and amounts of ingredients – as the original SeroVital, which has been around for several years. These are the yellow capsules. These are ingredients that are supposed to raise your growth hormone levels.

The red and white capsules are supposed to make SeroVital Advanced better. The red and white capsules are said to help with skin hydration, weight loss, and cravings.

SeroVital Clinical Research

There is preliminary research on the original SeroVital supplement. The first research study involved 16 people who were in their 30s. The people were given the 6 ingredients in SeroVital – or a placebo -and their growth hormone levels were tested regularly for 2 hours. When the people took the supplement, their HGH levels were higher 2 hours later compared to when they took a placebo pill.

In addition, their IGF1 levels – the stuff that stimulates growth hormone production – were also higher 8 hours later.

See the original review for a deep dive into the research.

SeroVital Advanced Clinical Research

Is there any proof the Advanced form is better? Clinical research cannot be located. Since it has the same HGH ingredients (yellow capsules), it can be expected to work as well as the original version of the supplement. It's not known if researchers have compared the original SeroVital to the Advanced version to see which is better.

But what about skin health and weight loss and cravings? Some of the ingredients make sense. Let's break those ingredients down

Skin health and hydration ingredients

Weight loss ingredients

Konjac fiber, also known as glucomannan, is a type of fiber studies suggest may help weight loss. For weight loss, studies often use 1000 mg to 3000 mg. How much is in Advanced SeroVital?

Is it possible coffee bean extract refers to caffeine? Or chlorogenic acid, the stuff in green coffee touted to help weight loss? The extract used is not mentioned.

Energy & focus ingredients

It's speculation, but these ingredients may help:

Selenium helps thyroid hormone production. A lack of this hormone can lead to fuzzy thinking.

SeroVital Advanced vs. Origional SeroVital

So what are the differences between them? The Advanced version also has ingredients for skin health and weight loss. Those are the red and white pills. It cannot be determined if the unique combination of ingredients in the red and white pills has been put to the test – clinical trials – to see if they really lead to significant weight loss or better skin health.

That said, there is weight loss research on konjac root extract (glucomannan). Weight loss studies tend to use 1000 mg to 3000 mg of konjac fiber to achieve results. Also, not all studies show it works. See this review for more on konjac fiber.

SeroVital Advanced FAQ

1 Where can you purchase it?

You can buy the supplement at most local stores like Ulta, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Vitamin Shoppe, GNC, Costco, and online at Amazon.

2 How long does it take to start working?

The company says you should start to feel results in about a month but it may take up to 3 months. The website mentions benefits were seen in “recent studies testing some of the key ingredients” in the supplement, but those studies are not listed.

3 How do you take it?

The directions call for taking the yellow capsules (SeroVital ingredients) on an empty stomach about 1-2 hours before eating. You can take the supplement in the morning before breakfast or at night about 2 hours after eating.  For the red and white capsules, it's suggested to take them together in the morning.

4 Before and after testimonials

A review of online testimonials proves the supplement both has its share of fans and those who aren't. While many say they have noticed benefits after taking SeroVital, some said they didn't feel or look any different.

5 How old do you have to be?

The supplement is not recommended for people younger than 18. Young people already have high levels of growth hormone.

6 Does it contain HGH?

There is no human growth hormone in SeroVital Advanced or the original formula. Neither supplement has any hormones at all. The supplement (both versions) has ingredients that are supposed to raise your level of growth hormone naturally.

7 Can men take it?

Both men and women can take SeroVital. In fact, the original clinical study on the supplement contained mostly men.

8 How many capsules do you take?

If you follow the directions strictly, you are taking 6 capsules a day.

9 Can SeroVital Advanced lower cholesterol levels?

It's possible it might because it contains konjac fiber. Studies show konjac (glucomannan) fiber might reduce blood cholesterol and bad cholesterol levels.

10 Why did my urine turn yellow?

SeroVital Advanced contains a good amount of riboflavin. This is the B vitamin that changes urine color to yellow.

11 Where can you buy It?

If your wondering where you can buy SeroVital Advanced, you're in luck. It's sold at many stores like Walmart, CVS, Cosco, Ulta, Rite Aid, Walgreens and Sams Club, Kroger, and many other places. It can also be on sale at found on Amazon too.

SeroVital Advanced Side Effects

So, is it safe? For most people, using it is probably not dangerous and ok, especially if you are essentially healthy. Common side effects include stomach upset. For those who are not healthy, here are things to consider. This list is not complete so ask your doctor to be sure:

Does SeroVital Advanced Really Work?

While I don't discount many people have said they feel and look better after taking the SeroVital, I'd like to see more clinical research on HGH levels. I'd also like to see clinical research on the Advanced supplement on its ability to help weight loss. Did the Advanced SeroVital help you lose weight or improve your focus or energy levels? You tell me.
