Goli Research

No clinical research on Goli gummies could be located. The supplement website lists various studies that support the use of apple cider vinegar. That's good. However, none of the investigations listed involved Goli gummies themselves.  That doesn't mean they don't work. Let's look at the research on apple cider vinegar to get a better idea.

Video Review of Research

Apple Cider Vinegar Research

The acetic acid in ACV is thought to be key to weight loss. Watch the video or read the studies below for more insights.

Weight Loss Evidence

Study 1

In one study 155 overweight people were given either a placebo (water) or two different amounts of ACV

Results showed those taking ACV lost 2.5  to 4 pounds more than the placebo group when used for 3 months. Other ACV benefits seen included:

Study 2

In another study, 39 overweight people were put on a low-calorie diet for 12 weeks. Some of them were also given 2 tablespoons (1 oz) of apple cider vinegar. While the diet group lost 5 pounds, those drinking apple cider vinegar lost 9 pounds. In addition, those drinking ACV also had:

Apple Cider Vinegar Benefits

The Goli website mentions how the supplement can also help:

As proof, the company cites studies to support these claims. Keep in mind that those studies did not involve ACV gummies.  Some of the benefits are attributed to vitamin B12, which the supplement also has.

Pectin, soluble fiber is also mentioned as helping gut health. However, since fiber is not listed in the Supplement Facts, the amount of pectin in the supplement is probably not much. The pectin comes from orange peels.

Goli vs. Apple Cider Vinegar

So how do these gummies stack up against drinking apple cider vinegar?  This is difficult to determine because no studies appear to exist which compare the effectiveness of gummies to vinegar itself.

Who Makes Goli Gummies?

The company is called Goli Nutrition Inc. It has been in operation since 2018. The company address is:

8430 Santa Monica Blvd # 240 West Hollywood, CA 90069-4221.

Customer service phone number: (888) 345-1452

The Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ rating. However, the company only received a 1.48 out of 5-star rating. This may be due to a number of customer complaints. The company responds to customer complaints to improve customer satisfaction, so this is a plus.

Where Can You Buy Goli?

You can purchase directly from Goli.com as well as local stores such as CVS, Walmart, Vitamin Shoppe, GNC, and Target.

You can purchase it directly from the company too.

How Much Does It Cost?

Prices may vary but these were listed on the company website:

Goli vs. The Competition

Realize that Goli is not the only ACV gummies out there. A few others to be aware of include:

So, what is the best apple cider gummies? No studies have compared one brand of gummy to another. If your goal is weight loss, then comparing the amounts of acetic acid they contain may help you decide. Acetic acid has been shown to help when used at  750-1500 mg a day for 3 months.

Goli Gummies vs. Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar

So the advantage of a gummy is that it will taste better than drinking ACV. In addition, there is less mess if you are trying to pour it into a tablespoon. But, keep in mind there are no studies on ACV gummies.

Goli FAQ

1 How do they taste?

Some describe a tart taste but it's not bad. The masking of the ACV taste is probably because of the pomegranate and beetroot.

2 Instructions for use

On the bottle, it says to take 2-3 gummies per day with or without food. However, on the Goli website, it's recommended to take 1-2 gummies 3 times a day (that's 6). So which is it?  The company says 2 gummies are equal to a shot of apple cider vinegar.

3 Are they FDA-approved?

The US FDA does not approve or test dietary supplements before they are sold to the public.

4 What does the name mean?

The name refers to goals, especially achievable goals. The supplement is supposed to help you achieve these goals.

5 How many calories?

Each Goli gummy has 12 calories and 500 mg of apple cider vinegar (25 mg acetic acid).

6 What about tooth enamel?

There have been some reports of apple cider vinegar eroding dental enamel. This can lead to cavities and gum disease. But, these reports come from people drinking the liquid – and sometimes drinking a lot of it. Reports of dental enamel breakdown from gummies have not been reported. While this is probably rare, to be safe rinse your mouth out with water after consuming.

7 Do Goli gummies contain the Mother?

The Mother is a combination of yeast and bacteria and it what gives apple cider vinegar liquid a cloudy appearance. Some think the Mother helps the microbiome. Goli is said to be made “unfiltered” which means it didn't filter out the Mother during processing. So, yes it has the Mother.

8 Can it help with bloating?

There's no good proof Goli helps with bloating or feelings of sluggishness. It may or may not. No proof, either way, could be located.

9 Is it made in America?

The gummies are made in the USA (California) using both U.S. and globally sourced ingredients. The ingredients come from both America and other countries.

10 Are they Kosher?

Yes. they are is kosher.  They are also non-GMO, gelatin-free, soy-free, have no artificial flavors or colors and are certified organic.

11 Will it help me lose weight?

Keep in mind that there is little before and after data on the gummies and weight loss. Looking at testimonials, some have said it helped and others have said it didn't. In some online reviews and testimonials, ACV gummies were only used for 1 month. That's not enough time to see significant weight loss. Studies showing ACV helps people lose weight have lasted 3 months. Also, remember the weight loss seen might be just 2-4 pounds more than just reducing calories.

12 Any complaints?

Complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau seem to mostly deal with refunds and not getting their auto-ship orders on time. While the Goli gummy company is not a BBB accredited business, to their credit, they do respond to complaints. See the BBB site for a list of complaints. Some voicing concerns on Amazon said the gummies did not work.

13 What about auto-shipments?

The company does not do auto-shipments. That's a good thing as it avoids unauthorized charges on your credit card.

14 Goli return policy

You have a 30-day money-back guarantee on both opened and unopened bottles. The 30 days starts when you receive your shipment. You will have to pay to send them back. Before returning the supplements, contact the company and get a return merchandise authorization number (RMA) to help with tracking.

What Do I Suggest

If you want all the science-proven benefits of apple cider vinegar, then that's what I suggest – liquid apple cider vinegar. If the taste is not appealing, you can put add it to a smoothie or salad, or other food. Hot or cold, it doesn't matter.  You don't need to use much, only 1/2 to 2 tablespoons a day.

Goli Gummy Side Effects

No side effects were known when this review was updated. While minimal side effects would be expected for most people, there are some things to keep in mind. Here is a list of things to consider when using ACV gummies. This list is not complete:

Does Goli Gummies Work?

When it comes to weight loss benefits, maybe but I'd like to see some proof. If you're going to try it for weight loss, then go in with your eyes wide open, and don't expect a miracle.  As for other benefits like lowering blood sugar and triglycerides, it's possible and the best way to know for sure is to test your levels before you start the supplement and then after a month or so.
