Viviscal For Thinning Hair: Before & After Visual Proof

Viviscal is one of the best-known hair growth supplements. But does it work? I have reviewed the clinical research on Viviscal and previously written about it. In this video review, I will show you the clinical investigations and the before and after pictures. In addition, I'll share how much was used and whether Viviscal For Men is worth it. Does it really work? Here's the proof. You decide.

Any Side Effects?

None of the studies reported any adverse side effects. That's good. In one unpublished report, someone reported headaches. This may be rare. Here are some things to keep in mind when taking this or any new dietary supplement. This list is not complete:

If you read the original review of this supplement, you'll see some people saying ViviScal caused insomnia. This was not reported in any of the clinical trials. What might cause this? One possibility involves horsetail. ViviScal contains 36.7 mg of horsetail. Horsetail contains a little bit of nicotine, which is a stimulant.

Could it be the nicotine in horsetail that's causing sleeping problems in some people? Hard to say but until more is known, don't take the supplement close to bedtime.

Some have said ViviScal caused them to gain weight. Weight gain was not mentioned in any of the studies. This potential side effect comes from testimonials posted in my original review of this supplement. While I think this is rare, for those uneasy about this, weigh yourself daily at the same time (mornings are preferable) to see if it happens to you.

Viviscal does not contain mercury. This is a common misconception. I called the company that makes the supplement -Church & Dwight Co-  who confirmed there is no mercury in ViviScal.

Does ViviScal Really Work?

There are now 4 clinical studies that demonstrate ViviScal helps with thinning hair. While I think results will vary, given the research, before and after pictures, and the positive testimonials, this may be something to look at. If it works, you'll need to take it daily for 3-6 months before seeing a difference.
