Glucosulin vs. Diab-X Which Is Better?

Update 8/1/20. I like clicking on internet ads because they give me ideas for my reviews.  Recently, I  clicked on an ad for a product called Diab-X. What grabbed my attention was that the ad said that the product was an alternative to Glucosulin, which is a blood sugar lowering and weight loss supplement I reviewed previously. It was because of that ad that I wrote a review of Diab X. In this comparison editorial I wanted to put both products –  Glucosulin and Diab X  – side by side so you could see how they were different. This is important if you are considering either of these weight loss pills. In case you missed it, here is my review of Gucosulin, and here is my review of Diab X. Both products are marketed to lower blood sugar and promote weight loss. But their marketing is a wee bit different, so let's briefly cover each separately. Read the complete reviews for a more full picture of each supplement.

Glucosulin

It was the name Glucosulin that jumped out at me originally when I saw it on TV because I felt that the name sounded too much like a diabetes drug. I thought the name would confuse people. Several ingredients in Glucosulin do have some blood sugar lowering effect but it I felt it was glucomannan that was Glucosulin's “active ingredient”. The marketing for Glucosulin appears to be mostly about how weight loss can promote lower blood sugar levels.  Technically that's true. It can.

Diab-X

This supplement called Diab X on the other hand gives the impression that it is a “natural cure” for diabetes. As I said in my original review of Diab-X, it's not a cure for diabetes. Rather it's a supplement that is being marketed to people who have metabolic syndrome (pre-diabetes) and type II diabetes. From the marketing of DiabX, I got the impression that losing weight was secondary to lowering blood sugar.

Diab-X vs. Glucosulin

Here are the ingredients in both products side by side.

Diab-X Glucosulin
Garcinia cambogia Glucomannan (Konjac Root)
Chromium as Polynicotinate Sodium Alginate
Ginger root Xanthum Gum
Calcium Mulberry Extract
Potassium Gymnema Sylvestre
Turmeric Chromium Picolinate
Piper longum fruit
Piper nigrum fruit

Both products contain ingredients that may help some people lower blood sugar (read my reviews on each for what those ingredients are). This also means that both products have the potential to interact with diabetes medications people may be taking.

While I do not want to promote one supplement over another, the idea of adding fiber to the diet is more in line with weight loss and staying healthy. Since Glucomannan is a type of fiber, I'd say Glucosulin has a slight edge over Diab X.

Where Glucosulin falls short in my opinion is its price and its ‘free 30-day trial” offer. Read the “Buyer Beware” section of my Glucosulin review (and the comments) for more info on that before you buy.

Diab-X on the other hand appears to have less fiber and more ingredients aimed at just lowering blood sugar. I was also a little confused by the “clinical studies” mentioned on the Diab X website which were not studies on Diab X but different supplements altogether.

In my opinion, where both Glucosulin and Diab-X fall short is that they get people to take their eye off the real culprit of high blood sugar and type II diabetes – too much body weight and not enough exercise.

I know many people struggle with high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) and high hemoglobin A1C levels (A1C) and I know taking a drug or a supplement is an easy answer – but unfortunately, easy answers are not always the right or complete answers.

I wrote a short editorial on the quest to find a Natural Cure for Diabetes at my other website which you should check out. There, I showed you how to “See” the beginnings of diabetes on your body.  You've seen this visual sign of diabetes on people so prepare to be shocked!

The bottom line is that I think both Glucosulin and Diab X will probably be most effective if they are part of a holistic approach to lowering blood sugar. That means eating just a little bit less food (calories) and exercising just a little bit too. Remember being holistic means more than supplements. Holistic is bigger than that. Remember this and I have high hopes for your blood sugar and your long term health.
